Here's my brand new McBusted Fan Fiction which is a 10-parter interconnected story. The McBusted boys were making their way to their show, only for them to get kidnapped and forced to take part in an escape room based on video game genres. Can they make their escape in order to make it to their show on time?
The first chapter focuses on Danny Jones. It will guest star Hayden Christensen, my original character Dominic and the Pokémon they have used for the Pokémon Adventures story . Make sure you keep an eye out weekly for each chapters.
McBusted’s Most Excellent Adventure
Danny Jones
I am Danny Jones from McFly, and today, we’ll be having an awesome show with our friends Busted as our super group, McBusted! They’re our close friends who have helped us to rise to fame, and working with them, including for our tour, is twice the fun! We have been working on covering this song from S Club 7 ‘Reach for the Stars’. It was great fun rehearsing it with the others, and I am looking forward to our fans hearing us singing it as ‘Reach for the Stars’, an optimistic song that encourages others to follow their dream (including becoming a musician like Tom and I have been helping aspiring musicians for The Voice and The Voice Kids). Our stage design is based on an arcade machine which brings me back during the McBusted MEAT days (but this time with Charlie Simpson).
Among those who will be watching our show is our fan and friend, Dominic and Canadian Actor best known for his role as Anakin Skywalker from the Star Wars movies, Hayden Christensen. Dominic is a good friend of ours who has helped us with our adventures, watching over us. He’s like our 8th member of McBusted, and I still remember helping him to accept his sexuality and to come up with the song ‘Over the Rainbow’, which helped to raise money for his LGBTQ+ charity. It’s good that I get to help fans like that.
I met Hayden a while back and got into an open polyamorous relationship with him (just like how we McBusted guys are in an open polyamorous relationship; bringing us closer together). Even though it’s a long-distance relationship, we've still been keeping in touch with each other, and it’s good that he’s able to get some time off to see our show. I am looking forward to seeing them both.
I was having a nice, warm shower before the show. The flowing water has helped to make my body feel refreshed after a workout in the gym, which made me doze off for a bit until I heard my daring wife, Georgia, calling me to get ready. It’s a good thing that she called me, or else I would have been late for the show. I got out of the shower and accidentally slipped on the soap and fell onto my towel! Don’t worry; I wasn’t hurt as I’ve made a soft landing thanks to the towel.
With that out of the way, Georgia reminded me to take my helmet as I’ll be driving to the Arena on my motorbike. I thought it would be an awesome occasion to ride on my T120! As I was seated, I couldn’t help but notice that my ass looked big on the seat. I also noticed that I had forgotten to tuck in my belt, with its tip left dangling. Oh well, at least that’ll please some fans who like my loose belt. Anyway, Georgia and Cooper said their goodbyes with them telling me to have a good time and drive there safely, and I drove off. It was nice of them to watch over me.
While I was riding on my bike (just like with the McBusted song Riding on my Bike), the traffic was seemingly clear, so it doesn’t appear that there’ll be any problem getting to the show...that is, until I saw a flying arcade machine like a U.F.O above me. It was huge! Before I knew it, I was sucked into its tractor beam, with me flying in the air on my bike in front of the sun! (Wonder if anyone could see my silhouette?) Oh no! I’m going to be late for my show!
Once I came round, I ended up in a large room that resembled an arena. I was wondering where I am? I gotta get out of here! Just then, a blinding spotlight shone on me, and I heard an announcement saying, “It’s Gaming Time! Welcome, Ladies, Gentlemen and Non-Binary Pals to Escape The Gaming Room! I am your host, Pluto!” I saw the monitor, which showed a strange figure with black coloured robotic armour, with the helmet resembling the Roman helmet (but I couldn’t see a face because of the visor). He also had a tie and held a microphone just like a TV host. “Tonight we have some very special guests taking part; it’s the boys from the best-loved boy bands McFly and Busted as formed together as McBusted!” said Pluto.
That at least reassured me that I wasn’t the only one who became abducted, even if we don’t appear to be physically together. But no, we don’t have time to be playing games and take challengers (not like the ones on I’m a Celebrity – I still remember becoming King of the Jungle while opening up, which helped me with my healing journey). I said to Pluto, “Excuse me, but we have a show coming up. I ask you to please let us go and save this for another time, or else we’ll be late.” “No can do unless you all escape The Gaming Room, where your courage and skills will be tested, just like when you play these awesome video games, on which our escape room will be based! Besides, we wouldn’t want to be a killjoy for our audience, expecting to see thrills and challenges. You either aim for the high score or your game will be over! And now, as I was saying, it’s gaming time!” said Pluto.
So it seems that we have no choice but to go along with this if we want to get out of here and to get to our show on time. I must say that it’s amusing that our McBusted MEAT (Most Excellent Adventure Tour) tour has a video game theme, and our show features an arcade-like stage, yet here we are playing in a video game-based escape room. And we do play video games with each other every now and then, even if we’re more musicians than gamers. Maybe whoever is hosting this is a fan of video games, too.
“Welcome to Street Smashers, where you have to fight your way through your opponents in a free-for-all, no-holds-barred brawl! You are free to use the stage obstacle or items you find to turn the tide of the battle, but make sure you keep an eye on your special gauge to unleash your powerful attacks, delivering a devastating blow! I can’t wait to see who will come out on top!” said Pluto, explaining the rules.
This reminded me of this fighting game back on McFly Super City, where you get to control as me. Maybe this is why I was picked for Street Smashers. I had some boxing experience, including one time with my Jungle Dad, Barry McGuigan, and I have some psychic powers that involve physical combat, so I do have some experience. “And now let your fist do the talking!” said Pluto as my opponent, who resembled a Karate Fighter with devil-like wings, made their appearance on the stage. “Alright, I am ready to rock and roll!” I said bravely.

The Karate Fighter has some strong karate moves that really pack a punch before I get a chance to dodge them. Not only that, but the arena has several blocks that the Karate Fighter use to hide when I tried to fight back, including my Kinesis Punch and Kinesis Kick. This allowed the Karate Fighter to unleash their karate chop straight towards me, knocking me down onto the floor. If that wasn’t tough enough, they had this special move, which involves them firing a laser beam from their eyes, so they can fight at long range too. Their moves are rather strong and competent, yet I can’t help but find that their movements look robotic. “You gotta put some Welly there! It wouldn’t be thrilling to see a one-sided match!” taunted Pluto.
Pluto’s right, I gotta show them what I can do! I’ve faced several challengers before, and I’m not going to lose to this one! I got up and decided to take advantage of the stage obstacles. I shattered one of the blocks with my Kinesis Kick, sending shards toward the Karate Fighter and blocking their vision. This gives me the perfect chance to strike with my Megaton Punch!
“Well, will you look at that! Danny is fighting back by cleverly making use of the stage obstacle! But the fight has only just begun, so will he stand much of a fighting chance?” said Pluto as the Karate Fighter used their wings to fly up in the air and fired their eye lasers towards me.
There’s no way I’m letting them take advantage of being on the air, so I gotta reach out! I spotted platforms that could help, so I jumped on them to get to the Karate Fighter. “And there he goes, making use of the platforms to get to his opponent, but as they say, look before you leap!” said Pluto, just as I landed on a platform with spike traps—just as painful as standing on a plug socket. Ouch! The Karate Fighter took advantage and fired their eye laser at me, causing me to land awkwardly.
However, I happened to be next to a crate which shattered when I landed right next to it. Several items came out of it, as said by Pluto, “Well, that was lucky for you! Maybe using one of these could help to turn the tide of the battle?” Yeah, I shall take advantage of the situation as I picked up one of those items that resembled a banana peel and tossed it towards the Karate Fighter, which caused them to trip over, landing on the ground.
“Oh yeah? How do you like them apples?!” I called them (or should I say banana?). “You’re not the only one who can use them!” said Pluto as the Karate Fighter picked up one other item that resembled a Lightsaber, swinging it with an extended range towards me, which knocked me over. The Karate Fighter can even use it to break through the blocks that I tried to use and hide, yet they continued to hide behind the blocks.
The Karate Fighter maybe no Anakin Skywalker, but I gotta turn this around somehow. I saw this other item which resembled a mushroom. I picked it up, which caused me to become as big as the room! “Alright! It’s time for Jones Smash!” I bragged as I used my giant size to shatter the blocks with my fist to prevent the Karate Fighter from hiding. They tried to fight back with their Lightsaber, but my giant size reduced the amount of damage I took. “Hey, you! You better not be damaging the arena with your giant size!” called Pluto as I smashed through the arena with my fists, though I wouldn’t dream of it as I turned back to my normal size.
That was when my special gauge was full, allowing me to activate my special move as I unleashed a fury of punches on the Karate Fighter using Psycho Combat. This was enough to KO the Karate Fighter, as said by Pluto, “Now that's what I call a Special Move KO!” “Guess I can become The King of Fighters!” I cheered triumphantly.
I was hoping that it would be just the one match, but Pluto said, “Come now, we have only just got started, as you’ll have to face three opponents for this round!” as more of these fighters have turned up, including one that holds a samurai-like sword, another one that also has wings with the appearance of a bewitching woman and the third one wearing a baseball hat. “Hey! This isn’t fair, making it three against one!” I protested. I can be competitive at times (but not as much as Harry), but I like to play fairly. “Now now, keep your cool here, as you’ll have a chance to team up with other Fighters to make things even. That is, if you have someone who can team up with you! Otherwise, I’m afraid you’ll have to tough it out!” said Pluto.

Now this is tricky, as I don’t have anyone with whom I could team up. If only I had any of the McBusted boys here. This makes me nervous about having to fight alone. That is, until I heard a voice from above that says, “As long as I am here, then you have nothing to fear! For it is I, All Mighty Man!” and a dashing, muscular superhero in a leather outfit has arrived on the scene, who is our local superhero, All Mighty Man. I certainly needed a hero at this moment!
Let me tell you about All Mighty Man. His true identity is actor and fitness online influencer Dane De Bruin. He became a superhero because, as a gay man, he wanted to protect those who are different from hate crime so he patrols our city to help to create an equal society while maintaining justice. It’s good that LGBTQ+ communities have heroes to look up to as an ally myself.
“You certainly couldn’t come at a better time!” I cheered, stepping back to let Dane approach. Dane smiled reassuringly at me as he replied, “Indeed, I could never turn down anyone in need, and I am happy to be your partner.” So, who do we have here? An unwanted guest who gatecrashes our game?” demanded Pluto . Dane answered, “For your information, I came here to find my comrades, who I believe were kidnapped here. I won’t rest until I find them, as I can never turn my back on them!” Realising Dane’s motivation, I turned towards him and said, “Dane, if there’s any way I can help you to find your friends, then please allow me to.” It’s the least I can do to repay him. Dane smiled again and said, “Why, thanks, and I shall help you to find your band mates and get you all out of this game. I take it that you all have been sent here too?” He has certainly read my mind, though I sure could do with an extra helping hand.
Pluto interrupted, “If you’re done discussing among yourselves, then you still need a third party unless it’ll be two against three.” I suddenly remembered I could use one of my Pokémon from our tour. I grabbed my Poké Ball and released my Espeon, who appeared ready to help as my third partner. Pluto clapped his hands and declared, “Alright, it looks like we’re all set for a three-on-three match where it’ll be three times the fun!” He explained that each of us would face one opponent one-on-one, and we could tag out at any time; we’d lose once all three team members were unable to fight. Looking at my teammates, I nodded with confidence, knowing I could count on them to guide me to victory.

I volunteered to go first with the samurai warrior, our first opponent. The samurai warrior uses their sword to block and counter my moves. The way they use their sword was rather fast, outspeeding my punches. Noticing my struggle, Dane said to me, “Allow me to cover you”. I stepped aside and allowed him to shine on the battlefield. As All Mighty Man, Dane had some powerful moves including striking the samurai warrior with a punching move wretched in an explosive aura known as All Mighty Punch as said by Dane “Here’s justice delivered straight to you; All Mighty Punch!” His other move includes firing a laser beam from his finger tips using All Mighty Laser (saying “Justice will prevail; All Mighty Laser!” and slamming his opponent with his body while covered in aura known as All Mighty Charge (while saying; “I will never yield; “All Mighty Charge!”) He sure has a lot of catchy praises while saying his signature moves.
Dane is also a smart fighter who watches his opponent’s movements, waiting for the samurai warrior to swing their sword away from Dane’s direction, which gives him the moment to strike. That’s something I have been doing in my battles before, so I have to show that I too can fight smart.
Just when the Samurai Warrior was about to be defeated, they withdrew with the Succubus warrior, who took cover for them. They have the ability to fly with their wings, just like the Karate Fighter I’ve faced before. But Dane also had the flight ability to catch up with the Succubus, as said by him, “Evil can never hide no matter where they flee!”, punching the Succubus’ sphere projectile with his All Mighty Punch. Dane had some trouble against the Succubus, who got hold of the shield item to block Dane’s moves and lured him towards a pitfall trap that caused him to become exposed to the Succubus’ attacks, including their missile-like attack. “Hold on, let me give you a helping hand!” I called as I took over for him.
I watched the Succubus’ movements, trying to reach them by jumping onto the platforms and even defending myself from its moves, including its missile-like attack with my punches. It still wasn’t making it easy for me to fight it, as it can also dive into me with its kicks or grab me and toss me onto the ground if I get too close. But I happened to spot a hammer nearby and thought I’d make use of it. As soon as I grabbed it, I found myself constantly swinging it back and forth without stopping as I cried, “Wooahhh! I can’t stop!” It did help me to not only counter the Succubus’ attacks but to deal a lot of damage to it, as said by Dane, “Faster than the speed of justice!”
Even though it’s powerful, the trouble is that I was unable to control it, which the Succubus took advantage of by using its aerobatic flight ability to dodge me, which caused me to accidentally smash a nearby fire hydrant (the hammer broke too). Water was sprouting all over the place, including on my shirt. “What have you done?!!” cried Dane. The Succubus, however, got sprayed by the water sprout, and the wet surfaces made it harder for it to move on land, which I took advantage of by finishing it off with my Megaton Punch with my special gauge charged up. So this leaves us an advantage with three against two! My shirt got soaked by the fire hydrant, so I have to unbutton my shirt (just like back when McFly were touring in Brazil, specifically at Rio de Janeiro. It was really hot there!)
The next opponent was the one with a cap who had a mixture of boxing, karate and kung fu moves (I’ll refer to it as the brawler warrior). I thought I’d take a breather and allow my Espeon to shine. I thought that it would have an advantage because it’s a Psychic type, which would be super effective against the Brawler Warrior. I commanded Espeon to use Psychic to cleverly send the Brawler Warrior towards the spike trap on one of the platforms to send it a far distance while dealing damage. This was followed by Espeon unleashing its Dazzling Gleam, attacking the Brawler Warrior at a long range. “That is clever thinking of you, Danny. I can tell that both of you are in synch,” said Dane as he was watching. I thanked Dane for that. Just like how we McBusted boys are synced when it comes to our music, we are synced with our Pokémon, which makes them strong for their battles and for when they get on stage to show off their moves for our special stage effects.
However, it turned out that The Brawler Warrior is capable of using range moves, including its energy wave, which was released by punching their fist on the ground. They can even reach towards Espeon by lunging their fist forward. Espeon was getting hurt, so I told it to use Substitute to use the decoy as a safety buffer while it fights back using Psychic. But the Brawler Warrior managed to break through the Substitute by kicking it into the air with a knee strike, which allowed it to follow up with a diagonal downward punch on Espeon. It was looking hurt (also with the Substitute consuming its HP), and I was getting worried about pushing it too hard, so I decided to withdraw it back to my Poké Ball.
I tried to take on the Brawler Warrior myself, but he tripped me over with his knee strike. Dane rushed in and grabbed hold of me as if I were his dancing partner. The way he gazed at me with comfort is rather romantic. “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of it”, said Dane reassuringly as he voluntary take over for me took on The Brawler Warrior himself, countering its moves by grabbing it when it lunges towards him, tossing it onto the ground using All Mighty Toss, and timely dodging its energy wave for him to slam it down using All Mighty Charge.
Dane also makes use of the items, including a metallic box that temporarily turns his body into metal, withstanding hits. “My will is as strong as steel!” said Dane, who tanked the Brawler Warrior’s hits and hit back using All Mighty Punch. Once his metallic armour wears off, Pluto said, “I can’t let you overpower my warriors while gate-crashing my game!” and teleported Dane elsewhere.
With me the only one left, I was in a tough spot. “The audience is in suspense as it’s two against one! Will the challenge get themselves out of this with their back against the wall?” I was getting anxious having to do this by myself, but it was that moment when Charlie Simpson unexpectedly showed up as he broke through the wall, holding a sword and striking through the Brawler Warrior. “Whoa! How did I get here? Is that you, Danny?” asked Charlie in awe. “Whoa, it looks like we have another surprise gust, which makes things even!” said Pluto.
I was relieved to see one of my bandmates, even if he’s from Busted (though I wonder why he is wearing angel wings?). Despite having to be sent here unexpectedly, Charlie was willing to help me out, taking on the Brawler Warrior with his sword (which can also fire cannon shots or lash out with a whip), who was already weakened by the combined efforts of Espeon and Dane, knocking it out. I smiled at Charlie with admiration, grateful for his timely arrival. He is just the hero that I needed. We may be frontmen from different bands, but we can relate to each other’s journeys with our perspective on pop music widened and winning the Masked Singer as the Rhino and Piranha, respectively. I still remember singing 3am and Not Alone with him for our Busted Vs McFly tour, which was like a dream performance.
So now only the Samurai Warrior is left remaining, as said by Pluto, “After a turn of events, round 2 is coming to a close! Will our contestants pull through, or will the opponent ultimately turn things around?” I watched in amazement as Charlie’s sword clashed with the Samurai Warrior’s sword, putting up a good fight with the sword’s arsenal and his stylish moves. The Samurai Warrior, however, activated its special move, slashing their sword on Charlie upwards and slamming down hard.
I decided to return the favour and took cover for him. Just like last time, I keep an eye on the Samurai Warrior’s movements to dodge their sword and land my Kinesis Punch and Kinesis Kick on them. I can tell that Charlie was watching my moves. The Samurai Warrior wasn’t giving up just yet, though, who leapt onto the platforms to keep their distance from me. I tried to follow them, but just before I jumped on the platform they were on, lava had suddenly erupted from the ground. Thank goodness that I didn’t jump, or else I would have fried. “It looks like things are heating up as the end is drawing near!” said Pluto. Yeah, it’s certainly got hotter just like in Rio de Janeiro again.
The Samurai Warrior took advantage and swung their sword towards me while avoiding the lava, causing me to fall off the platform. I landed right next to a baseball bat that I thought I could make use of. I swing it to defend myself from the Samurai Warrior’s sword, making it a clash between a baseball bat and a sword! It looked like the Samurai Warrior wanted to finish me off here and now, so it took some steps backwards and charged towards me while holding their sword in front. I used this time to ready myself to deliver a powerful swing towards the Samurai Warrior, swinging the baseball bat really hard and SMAAASH!!, sending the Samurai Warrior towards the erupting lava. Now that's what I call a home run! I rushed over the Samurai Warrior and finished it off with my special move, Megaton Punch, as the special gauge was full.
“And we have our winners for round 2!” said Pluto as I cheered in triumph. Charlie went over to me, saying, “I’m so glad you’re safe and to show up on time!” “I’m happy that you’re here as my fellow frontman”, I said happily as we embraced each other. We tenderly held our elbows and smiled with warm gazes.
“Isn’t that a tender moment? Anyway, no game is complete without a boss, with both of you having to make it pass your round and level,” said Pluto, as two mysterious Roman Warrior-like figures had appeared. Their outfits looks otherworldly. One of them that I’m facing is a hunky soldier wearing red armour with flames coming out. “For round three, you’ll get to face Vulcan. With his burning passion, things shall heat up for the battlefield!” said Pluto. So Charlie and I will have to use everything we have experienced from our respective games to defeat these bosses. Espeon will be helping me out with Charlie’s Vaporeon, healing its strength using Wish. If we want to make it to our show on time, then we’ll have to defeat those bosses!
Vulcan certainly fights with fire, as his punching moves are made out of fire. I tried countering them with my Megaton Punch, but my fist ended up getting burned in the process. Ouch! Vulcan can also pound his fists onto the ground, which releases balls of fire that surround me. I don’t want to get burned, but Espeon helped to clear away the fire by using Psychic to clear away the fireballs. Thanks, Espeon, I returned the favour by thrusting my fist towards Vulcan’s torso using Kinesis Punch.
Men, Vulcan feels as hard as a rock with his muscular torso. He grabbed me with his massive arms. I felt like I was going to get crushed. He tossed me away from him, but Espeon used Psychic to save my fall, showing its loyalty and desire to protect me. Vulcan then twirled his body around to create a fiery vortex that surrounded his body. How was I supposed to get to him now? “It looks like things are getting hotter here as the temperature is rising with excitement!” said Pluto. He’s right, I am certainly sweating. All we can do is run and dodge Vulcan, jumping on each platform or hiding behind the pillars, but he keeps catching up to us, shattering the pillars with his fists and the flames reaching the platforms.
It turned out that avoiding Vulcan was the right move, as he was slowing down with the flames flickering away. As soon as he stops his tracks, I use this opportunity to strike him with my Megaton Punch. Espeon followed up the attack by firing its Shadow Ball. “Now that's what I call a comeback!” called Pluto. I bet Vulcan didn’t take a liking to that, so he grabbed me once again. I wasn’t going to fall for that again, so I evened the score by buffing up my muscles, forcing him to let go of me. Of course, I can match his physical strength for a short while, so I make the most of it by grabbing his fist when he tries to grab me. It’s just like two wrestlers, locked into a heated rivalry. He may be strong, but I used all my might and buffed up biceps to toss him onto the ground!
As soon as my buffed-up muscles wear off, Vulcan summoned a huge fireball with the palm of his hand. I can tell that they are fiery as the boiling sun. I wasn’t even going to touch them. I tried countering them with my ranged attacks, including Star Force Shocker, as activated by the special gauge, but the fireballs burned my attack, wasting my special gauge. I need something to fight fire with fire.
One of his fireballs shattered an item box, which revealed a curry plate. That made me hungry, but I thought I could make use of it somehow. As soon as I consumed it, it was so hot that it caused me to spit out flames. My face was red, and I was on fire, I tell you! “It seems that more fuel is added to the fire, folks!” said Pluto as my flames were erupting towards Vulcan’s fireballs nonstop. Well, that’s one way to counter his flames, but I can’t stop myself from spitting the flames! It was my Espeon who took advantage of this and used Psychic on Vulcan. The flames thankfully wear off. I do like curry, but I don’t think I can handle the heat.
Vulcan wasn’t giving up yet, who teamed up with the boss that Charlie was facing, Zeus. They both released tons of balls of fire and lightning bolts towards us, which gave Frontman very little room to dodge them. “My my, sparks are certainly heating up the battlefield!” said Pluto. That’s one way to put it, but we've got to find a way around them. “Here, let me clear the way!” said Charlie, who held his shield that reflected Zeus’s lightning bolts. Vaporeon and Espeon also helped to clear away the fireballs with their Scald (since Water-type moves are super effective against Fire-type moves after all) and Psychic.
That was smart of Charlie. It reminded me of his passion when it comes to his songwriting, which is what I admire him for as a fellow frontman. Vulcan, however, summoned a huge fireball as big as the sun that was about to fall on Charlie, Espeon and Vaporeon. I got to get up there and protect them, even if the huge fireball might hurt me. I jumped onto the platforms to get closer to the fireball. Zeus fired his lightning bolt towards me, causing me to fall, but I happened to land near an item box which had a bomb. I tossed it towards the fireball, which caused a huge explosion upon impact, taking out the fireball. I’ve used this chance to leap towards Vulcan, who tried to stop me by punching me with his fiery fists.
There was no way I was falling for that as I dodged his fists and swiftly landed my coordinated punches on his torso, continuously pummelling him with my fists of fury using Psycho Combat while intercepting his attacks. It’s just like how All Mighty Man uses his brain to fight. As Vulcan became dazzled, I delivered my finishing move: Megaton Punch!
I may have won this boss fight, but it turned out that Vulcan was a person, as his helmet came off after I used Megaton Punch on him. It was a Spanish bodybuilder named Amino, well known for his large physique, who shares Dane’s sexuality. “Hey, are you ok Mate?” I asked as I picked him up. Amino appeared to be dazed, saying, “...Where am I? What happened?” I figured out that he was brainwashed, just like with Zeus that Charlie has defeated. I told Amino that he was fighting me. He explained that he was one of Dane’s comrades, working side by side to help him to protect others while fighting for equality as a gay man too, wielding the power of fire. “I only wish to defend those who don’t have a voice with my muscles. I turned to the screen monitor to confront Pluto about brainwashing Amino, for which I’m sure he was responsible, for this, but he merely said: “Congrats for passing your gaming challenge. You may proceed to the next area if you wish to make your way out”. With Charlie and the others (though we returned our Pokémon to their Poké Balls), I made my way to the next room, having to beat Street Smashers. I can only hope that the other McBusted boys have completed their escape room gaming challenge and are safe and sound for us to get to our show as soon as possible. Since nothing should stop us from doing what we love doing best, seeing our fans, and nothing shall tear us apart.

- The idea of coming up with an interconnected story was inspired by The Simpsons episode Trilogy of Error and the PlayStation game Incredible Crisis with Dane yelling "What have you done?!" is a nod to the latter. The concept of an escape room came to me when I was playing No Sleep for Kaname Date.
