Here is part two of my McBusted story where the McFly and Busted boys teams up with a partner Digimon where they have to find the Vitrue crests as the key to Digivolve their partner Digimon into their Royal Knights form while considering staying in the Digital World to hide from their online hate. Chapter two –
Ultimate Resolve

As The McBusted boys and their Digimon partners made their way towards The Tower of Virtues, they were discussing among themselves. “You know, maybe staying in The Digital World isn’t a bad idea,” said Tom. “I agree, it’s like a vacation for all of us” said James concurring with him. “That way, we won’t have to face any hate we have been receiving,” said Dougie.
Leomon and their Digimon partners have overheard this. “Are you sure about this? I don’t think staying in The Digital World would be safe for you humans in the long run” said Leomon. “But we’ll be safe from pain. I don’t think anyone would miss us anyway” said Charlie. “What about your family? They would be worried about your whereabouts” said Kudamon. “Didn’t you say you all from a supergroup? Your fans would miss you” said Veemon.
This made the McBusted boys realise their proposition. “I know the real world can be scary but you cannot hide from it. You can only face life and become stronger” said Hackmon. “He’s right, running away will solve nothing,” said Guilmon. “Even our world has its problems, something that we can only solve by dealing with them,” said Dorumon. Although they are Rookie level Digimon, they still have the minds of Royal Knights which gives them some maturity. “You see, even if you were all sent here, it’s only temporary and once this is over, it’s up to you on what you do,” said Leomon. “I don’t know what has happened but regardless, you all don’t deserve any hate,” said Agumon. “I know that you all have good hearts and we love to hear your music” said Gabumon.
The McBusted boys were touched by their words although they were still not sure what to do yet. “Thanks but I...I don’t know if I could...face what people are saying about me” said Danny with anxiety. “All I want to do is to write music but I’m not sure if we’re worthy of that,” said James with uncertainly. “We believe in you. It’s why you were all chosen. Your choices is what influence Digivolvtion but also among yourselves too” said Leomon encouragingly yet gently. “Give it some time. For now, we’re here for you” said Agumon as their Digimon partners reached out their hands to them. Their reassurance has made them smile.
Once they reached The Tower of Virtues, they found lyrics written on the wall. “Prodigious! Is that the song that Wizardmon told us about?” said Matt with interest. “Perfecto! We should check it out right away” said Harry as they all rushed towards the wall which had the notes and lyrics of the song. The title is known as The Song of Digivolution which describes using the power of courage and friendship to Digivolve to the next level.
As The McBusted guys played it, their Digimon partners watched with amazement (and subconsciously filled with energy as provided by their voices and the sound of their instruments). “Wow, what an incredible performance!” said Kudamon. “You all are great singers,” said Veemon. “We’re glad you enjoyed it,” said James. This has helped to remind The McBusted boys why they like being in a band. Suddenly, there were seven Champion-levelled Digimon who attacked them. “Aw nuts! We have to take care of them!” cried Dougie and they Digivolve their partner Digimon.
The seven Champion-levelled Digimon were stronger being mind-controlled by Lucemon with their powers equivalent to higher levelled Digimon. Greymon is up against a Rhinoceros beetle like Digimon known as Kabuterimon who has fast movements which allow him to easily outrun Greymon’s attacks while staying airborne with his large wings and attack him with his electrical-based attacks from a long distance including Electro Shocker or ramming into him with his horn and violently flipping Greymon onto the ground. It’s just like real-life Rhinoceros Beetles taking down their rival.
Garurumon fights against a tall, green insect Digimon known as Stingmon. He fights with swift movements to avoid Garurumon’s attacks and ambushes him from behind using Spiking Strike. Stingmon also intercepted Garurumon’s Howling Blaster with his needle attacks. This makes Stingmon a fast, smart and deadly fighter who pins down Garurumon onto the ground.
Veedramon’s opponent is a Kyubimon who resembles a yellow, nine-tailed fox. Kyubimon is also a fast, smart fighter who took out Veedramon’s V-Breath Arrow Max with her will-o-wisp-like attacks using Fox Tail Inferno which gives her the opportunity to pounce Veedramon by spinning fast while surrounding itself in blue flame using Dragon Wheel, just like a fox catching its prey.
BaoHuckmon fights an ostrich-like Digimon called Peckmon. Being fast, it easily dodges BaoHuckmon’s attacks and viciously fights by pecking using Thousand Beaks or kicking using Strong Front Kick. He wasn’t allowing BaoHuckmon to escape or have his chance to fight back.
Growlmon is up against Lekismon who looks like a large pink rabbit who dodges Growlmon’s attack by leaping into the air and executing a diving kick move using Moon Night Kick. Just when Growlmon was about to fight back, Lekismon fired her Moon Night Bomb which lulls him into a sleep, allowing Lekismon to fire her icy arrows using Tear Arrows.
Reppamon fights Baluchimon, a blue holy beast Digimon who uses psychic powers including creating an illusion, tricking Reppamon into thinking that Baluchimon is not there. This gives Balchimon a chance to bind Reppamon with a psychokinetic chain using Psychic Chain and ram him into the wall.
Reptiledramon fights a small, sphere Digimon known as Thundermon. Despite his small size, Thundermon was a troublesome opponent with his fast movements, dodging Reptiledramon’s every move while bombarding him with several electric bombs using Thunder Bomber. When Reptiledramon was down; Thundermon beat him up with Powerful Punch.
“Our Digimon are losing. This is the worst!” cried Tom as the McBusted boys were watching their partner Digimon struggling. Even Leomon was having difficulties with the opposing Digimon dodging his every move while ruthlessly taking him down.
This is when the McBusted boys have thought about what their Digimon partners have said earlier with each of them realising that staying in the Digital World won’t help to solve their problem. “I’ve been running away from my problems with drugs and alcohol which hurts those around me and myself. I have been learning to open up about myself. I can’t let down those who look up to me” said Matt with realisation. “It would mean running away from those I love including my family and fans and I need to make it up for them, especially my wife who I love dearly” said Danny with emotion. “I aren’t going to let hate stop me from what I love doing best,” said Harry with renewed spirit. “Yeah, we have to do this for our fans,” said Tom with determination.
Use this as the Digivolution theme
With the McBusted boys slowly gaining the courage not to let hate get them down and the power that was provided by The Song of Digivolution earlier, this has activated their partner Digimon to Digivolve into their Ultimate forms. Greymon Digivolved into Metal Greymon who has now attached metallic parts to his body. This helped to handle hits from Kabuterimon including from its horns. Metal Greymon can also fire powerful long-range attacks including Giga Storm and Giga Blaster which took out Kabuterimon’s Electro Shocker, allowing Metal Greymon to strike Kabuterimon at close range using Metal Claw. “Alright! Now you have become stronger!” cheered Danny. “It’s all thanks to you” replied Metal Greymon, looking at Danny as if he is proud of him.
Garurumon Digivolved into WereGarurumon. Although he wasn’t as fast as Garurumon because he is bipedal, his stronger offensive and defensive power makes up for it as shown when he slashes Stingmon’s needles to defend himself using Wolf Claw and jumps to dodge Stingmon and take him down with his powerful kicking moves using Garuru Kick. “We have you to thank for giving us this strength,” said WereGarurumon. “We couldn’t have done it without your help to see things clearly,” said James happily.
Veedramon Digivolved into AeroVeedramon who now has wings and sharper claws. As a result, AeroVeerdramon can now dodge attacks from Kyubimon as he flies into the air and fire attacks from above including a shock wave that is shaped like a Dragon using Dragon Impulse. “Wow!” You can fly!” said Tom excitedly. “That’s right! Together, we can achieve anything like this!” said Aeroveedramon as Kyubimon tried to leap towards him but AeroVeerdramon dived into her as he was surrounded by a V-Shaped aura using V-Wing Blade.
BaoHackmon Digivolved into SaviourHuckmon. He can now defend himself from Peckmon’s attacks using the three crimson blades on its arms and tail using Trident Saber while fighting back by firing fire from his mouth like a machine gun using Meteor Flame, repelling Peckmon which prevented him from getting too close. “That’s the way!” cheered Charlie. “You got that right, it’s how we improve ourselves” replied SaviourHuckmon. Charlie agreed with that.
Growlmon Digivolved into WarGrowlmon who now has armour, allowing him to withstand Lekismon’s attacks including her Tear Arrows and Moon Night Kick (as shown when WarGrowlmon swings his pendulum blades to defend himself from Lekismon’s kicks) and hit hard back with his Atomic Blaster. Lekismon tried to send War Growlmon to sleep using Moon Night Bomb but WarGrowlmon repelled it by firing an electric shock from his chest using Megalo Spark while dealing damage to Lekismon. “No sleeping for you,” said Dougie. “Can’t sleep on the job after all” said WarGrowlmon, playing along with Dougie’s quirky joke.
Reppamon Digivolved into Chirinmon, a mythical beast Digimon who has many tricks up his sleeve including using his fast movements to summon clones of himself which allowed him to dodge Baluchimon’s Psychic Chains. Chirinmon and all of the clones swooped into the air and runs into Baluchimon with his horn on his head using Wind Cutter Sword. Baluchimon tried to summon another illusion but Chirinmon repelled the illusion by flapping his wings to fire its Holy Wave while hitting Baluchimon at the same time. “Woah, what such incredible powers!” said Matt with amazement. “It’s all made possible with your courage and resolve,” said Chirinmon.
Reptiledramon Digivolved into Grademon, resembling a yellow Knight. He now has the speed to match Thundermon, dodging the electric bombs while slicing them with his sword using Cross Blade. Thundermon was about to punch Grademon using Powerful Punch but Grademon attacked him from above using Grade Slash. “Now we’re winning this race!” boasted Harry. “The race that we must win for the sake of the Digital World!” said Grademon.
The Ultimate Level Partner Digimon all helped Leomon throughout, defending him from the attacks (including Metal Greymon, BaoHackmon and WarGrowlmon using their armour) or combining their attacks with him (including AeroVeedramon and Chirinmon firing their ranged attacks while Leomon fired his Fist of the Beast King and WereGarurumon and Grademon fighting alongside Leomon while he uses his physical-based combat). All of their teamwork and new power has helped to weaken the Champion Levelled Digimon, freeing them from Lucemon’s mind control.
Having to be defeated, Kabuterimon, Stingmon, Kyubimon, Peckmon, Lekismon, Baluchimon and Thundermon de-Digivolved into Tentomon, Wormmon, Renamon, Falcomon, Lunamon, Tapirmon and Kokuwamon. They apologized for their actions with Tentomon saying “We would never intend to harm anyone but our minds were surrounded in the darkness that we have no control over even if a part of us were aware of what’s happening.” "I only live to serve Prince Mamemon and nothing more" said Kokuwamon. “It’s ok, we promise that we’ll take care of the bad Digimon” said Dougie. “Yeah, it’s better that you all have a free will of your own,” said Charlie.
The McBusted boys then obtained the Virtue Crests. Their Partner Digimon De-Digivolve back into their Rookie forms. “Those Virtue Crests are the key to Digivolve use into our Mega Level Forms who are our true forms as The Royal Knights” said Veemon. “I’m looking forward to seeing your shining knights in armour,” said Tom.
Before they made their way back to the Celestial Sanctuary for some rest and to escort the Rookie-levelled Digimon that they battled, Leomon said to the McBusted boys “We are proud of you all for taking the step forward to deal with your conflict and believing in yourselves which is how you all have made it this far.” “He’s right and along with that wonderful performance of yours, it’s how we gain the power to Digivolve” added Agumon. The McBusted boys nodded at them. “Moumantai, I believe that we must do this” said James. “Yeah, facing our darkness may seem scary but we have you all as our guiding light, giving us a reminder that we love our career” said Danny. Their Digimon partners smiled on how they had been a help to them and they headed back to The Celestial Sanctuary in preparation for the tough battle ahead.
Meanwhile, Lucemon has witnessed their battle. “So those humans think they have the power to stop me? I say it’s time to move on with the next course of action that’ll utterly break their spirits” said Lucemon. “Lucemon, I have a list of their family who’ll serve us as part of your plan” said a human who partnered with Lucemon. “Excellent Lucifer, you and the others have served us Demon Lords well; all for me to regain our regime for the Digital World” said Lucemon who is seemingly impressed. “Anything to break those McBusted boys,” said Lucifer. Lucemon then thinks to himself “All for me to rule your world too”.
As they both went to their separate ways, Lucifer said to himself “We only use these Demon Lords to put The McBusted boys in their place. What’s the use of trusting anyone when everyone beneath me are flawed and are nothing but scum? The sooner we’re done with them; we shall seal them up again”.
