McBusted Plays Trivia Tricks

Here's another McBusted story where they play this video game that has been made by my close friends Trivia Tricks. It's a quiz-based game that is avaliable on Steam where you play against others with a variety of categories including some that are created by others using the Steam Workshop and features including chance round that either gives you extra points, lose points or items that could help to change the tide of the game, character customization and bosses to take down with help from other players. My friends have been working hard on it over the years so be sure to check it out here

Note: This story contains actual questions from the game including those from the workshop packs such as two questionos from the McFly, Busted and McBusted pack which is made by me. And yes, those spelling errors are actual typos as pointed out by my friends when playing the pack the other day (which happens with me everytime XD). They have been corrected since.

McBusted Plays Trivia Tricks

Two boy bands McFly and Busted as joined together as their Super Group McBusted were all set for another games night. This time, it was a quiz-based game known as Trivia Tricks. “This looks like a colourful quiz show with those cute characters” said James Bourne referring to their customized characters that resembled miniature cartoon humans.

Tom Fletcher was browsing through the categories and said “There are a variety of categories here including music and TV and Film though we should mix and match to give us a challenge.” Danny Jones was looking through the workshop packs that were made by other people and said “Hey, someone has done a McFly, Busted and McBusted pack! We should definitely try it!” The McBusted boys felt astonished and honoured to have a pack dedicated to them.

As the categories, both from the base game and workshop were picked at random, the boys couldn’t help but have a bit of competition and rivalry between them. “I’m going to take the trivia crown and you know it!” bragged Harry. “No way! It’s me who is going to be the king of trivia!” said Matt fighting back. “That’s where you’re both wrong! It’s going to be me of course!” exclaimed Charlie. “Guess we can’t start a game without getting into each other’s throat” said Dougie slyly.

Anyway, the game is set with one of the Trivia Tricks characters dressed in a tuxedo appearing on the stage. “Welcome to Trivia Tricks! I am your host Mr Tricks!” said Mr Tricks. “Hi Mr Tricks!” said the McBusted boys.

The first category that was picked at random is Music. “Ah yes, I should know this one as a musician after all” said Tom. “This should be easy!” said Charlie with confidence. The question asked, “Where would you find a ‘Coda’ in a musical piece?” The options were ‘The Ending’, ‘The Start’, ‘The Middle’ and ‘The Bridge’. The majority of them selected ‘The Ending’ as their answer except for Danny, Dougie and Charlie who picked the wrong answers, much to their embarrassment. Harry took this opportunity to taunt them saying “You’re supposed to write music for a living!” Danny remained composed and said “We’re just getting started!”

The next question that was coming up was from the McFly, Busted and McBusted pack. “Oh boy, it’s our pack!” said James who is looking forward to seeing what the question is. The question was “Which two McFly members played as the Heath Inspectors for a comedy sketch?” The Busted guys were baffled by this question. “You guys played the Heath Inspectors for a comedy sketch? Since when?” asked Matt who was confused. “Must have been a long time ago” said Charlie as he was struggling to pick an answer.

Even the McFly boys were confused although Dougie was the only one who got it right. The answer was Danny and Dougie. “Ah yes, I still remember the sound of our accents for this sketch” said Dougie. “Oh now it’s coming back to me! We make good health inspectors don’t we Dougie?” said Danny. “Health inspectors? It said Heath Inspectors. What’s a Heath Inspector?” said Tom puzzledly. Harry took a closer look at the question and realised something. “They must have misspelt Health, forgetting the l” said Harry. “No wonder I got this one wrong!” cried Tom. “It’s an easy mistake to make with both words look the same” said James dryly.

After that, a question from the Sonic pack popped up. “Sweet, I should know this one as a fan of Sonic!” said James. The question asked which character Jaleel White voiced for Sonic Underground. The choices of answers include Sonic The Hedgehog, Manic The Hedgehog, Sonia The Hedgehog and All Three of Them. “Ooo, I don’t think I’ve watched Sonic Underground before but it got to be Sonic” said Tom, selecting Sonic. “Yeah it got to be, there’s no way he wouldn’t voice a female character” said Danny who picked the same. “I’m willing to bet it’s all three of them” said Dougie who found the answer amusing so he decided to pick it. “Nah, that sounds ridiculous mate!” said Matt, dismissing the idea. It turned out that ‘All three of them’ was the answer. They were all stunned in silence (though Dougie was the only one who got it right yet even he was surprised).

Another McFly, Busted and McBusted pack was coming up next. “Oh boy, another question of ours!” said Tom excitedly. The question said “Matt Willis was in a documentary that was aired on 17th May 2023 about what?” The following answers were ‘His struggles with addition’, ‘His rise to fame’, ‘His family life’ and ‘About his solo career’.

With everyone knowing Matt Willis as a close friend, they all answered ‘His struggles with addition’ correctly. “Ah yes, I still remember that documentary which was like a journey for me, helping others to open out too” said Matt. “I didn’t know that you had trouble with Maths” said Dougie jokingly. This was when the others realised that addiction was spelt wrong; missing out on the C. “Whoever has written this pack really needs to check their spelling” tutted Harry. “Now now, we all get mixed up with spellings or words all the time” said Danny. “It’s the thought that counts” said Matt who didn’t mind and knew what the answer meant. They all agreed to that.

With it being the end of round 1, Danny has answered the most questions wrong, putting him in last place while Harry is in first place who answered the most questions correctly. “I shall be the King of Trivia while you are all the dirty rascals!” taunted Harry. “And there he goes” muttered Tom. However, Mr Tricks has announced “I feel a Chance Round coming on!” Chance Round is where they have a chance to win extra points or obtain items that can help them but there’s also a chance that they could lose points. “This could either be really good, or really bad!” said Mr Tricks.

Colourful balls that show the amount of points that they can earn or lose and a few items were popping out of the Chance Round machine. “Now they are some colourful balls” said Dougie who looked at them with fascination. “Wonder what could be these items?” asked Charlie with curiosity. “I’d just like to remind you that you opted in for this” said Mr Tricks as the chance balls and items were randomly distributed towards the McBusted boys.

Charlie obtained the Crystal Ball, James was given a Call a Boss phone and Tom got a 50/50 ball. Dougie was given the ball that gives him a large boost in points while Matt was given a modest amount of extra points. “I can live with that” said Matt. Danny was given a ball that doubled the amount of points he had, giving him a huge jump in first place. “Alright! Just what I needed!” cheered Danny. As for Harry, he was unlucky to get a ball that lost half of his points, dropping him to last place. “Noooo! This game is fixed!” yelled Harry. “RNG! RNG!” chanted Mr Tricks, much to Harry’s annoyance. As a result, Danny had a huge jump to first place as said by Mr Ticks “Looks who is a smart cookie, Danny”. Danny smiled with a huge grin on his face.

Having to obtain items from Chance Round, this is sure to turn the tide of the game as shown by the next question from the Horrible History pack. “I remembered those books back in the days” said James. “I should get my kids to read them!” said Tom. The Horrible History question was “What were Sir William Erskine’s Last Words?” “Blimey!  I don’t have a clue!” said Charlie.

He had an idea. He uses the Crystal Ball to see what everyone else has picked for the answer. “Now this is a genius!” he said with fascination as he used it, noticing that the majority had picked “It hurts!” “So this must be the right answer” said Charlie picking it. However, it turned out that the actual answer was “Now why did I do that?” “What?! Why did you all pick the wrong answer!” exclaimed Charlie. “I didn’t know either so I picked at random” answered Danny.  "It sounded so sad that it's funny" explained Dougie. “Well you all let me down!” cried Charlie. “Cheer up Charlie, least the Crystal Ball works!” laughed Matt.

James has decided to use the Call a Boss Phone for a Video Game Haiku Question pack. The question was ‘Lost but never mad. Searching for all artefacts. A blob to your face’. Dougie said “Ah, it’s clever to come up with a Haiku for a question". The phone item calls a random Trivia Tricks character (who serves as bosses) that suggests an answer. The character that happened to pick up the phone resembled a girl with pink hair named Sakura. She said “I think the answer to that question is red.” “Thanks, it’s just like phoning a friend on Who wants to be a millionaire” said James who selected the red answer Castlevania Lord of Shadows. But it turned out that the actual answer was Metroid Prime. “I guess that doesn’t guarantee you the right answer!” laughed Danny. “Thanks a lot Sakura” muttered James (although he said to himself that he had played Metroid  Prime before but it's been a long time and he needs to work on his Haiku skills).

The next question is from the Mii pack which asked ‘What does a gold feather do in Wii Play Motion’s Jump Park?’ Tom was stuck because he never played Wii Play Motion before. Luckily for him, he has the 50/50 ball which removes half of the wrong answers, helping him to narrow his choices. “Now that should make things easier for me” said Tom. The two remaining answers were ‘Gives bonus points’ and ‘There isn’t a gold feather’. Tom thought hard and said “Hmmm, Gives bonus points does sound obvious but something tells me that it’s too obvious so I’ll go with ‘There isn’t a gold feather’. Bet it’s one of those questions that try to catch me out”, selecting that answer but it turned out to be the wrong answer. “Dang! I knew I should have gone with the obvious answer!” cried Tom. “Well obviously, you’re out of your league!” said Harry, rubbing it in.

The next question was the kind that puts them off guard; The Dumb Test 2. It asked ‘Similar to orange’ with the answers includes Red, Green, Yellow and Blue. “What kind of question is that?” asked Charlie who was confused with the question. “Surly it must be Red” said Harry as they all picked Red. But the answer was ‘Green’, leaving them all baffled. Nobody got it right.

A question from the music category has shown up asking “Which of the following is NOT a single by ‘Weird AI’ Yankovic?” Only Tom, Charlie and Harry picked (Nothing I Do) I Do It For You which is the correct answer but Danny, James, Dougie and Matt have picked the wrong answers. “Guys, it said NOT a single!” said Tom. “Oops, I read it wrong” said Danny who sheepishly grinned. “I guess I was reading it too fast” admitted James. “Read the question carefully!” said Harry.

Once again, they have to go through a Chance Round as said by Mr Tricks “I feel a Chance Round coming on!”. Some were given more points than others including Dougie who received the ball with the highest points. Danny was given a Hot Potato. “What’s this? Can I eat it?” asked Danny half-jokingly. “That’s like a time bomb. You have to answer the question right or you’ll lose some points” answered Tom. “Oh, must be a bad potato” said Danny as a way to mask his nerves. “Wait, was that a potato?” said Mr Tricks acknowledging the potato.  Luckily for Danny, the next question asked was a music-based question (which asked ‘The Wailers’ were the backing band to which frontman?) so he answered it easily (which was Bob Marley). He passes the potato to James. “Now it’s all on me!” said James nervously.

The next question came from the Super Nintendo Entertainment System Family Feud pack which asked ‘Name something kids like to climb on’. “Oh, I used to watch the show back in the day though I never played the game version before” said James. The choices were Trees, Furniture, Jungle Gym or People. “How I’m supposed to know what people would commonly choose?!” said James flustered. “The clock is ticking so you better pick an answer fast!” said Harry. He thought about it for a moment and said “I guess people would climb trees during that time so it must be trees” said James and to his relief, he was right, passing the potato to Dougie.

However, the amount of points that they could lose from the potato was increasing. “That thing is gonna blow!” said Dougie who is panicking as if it was a real bomb. But the next question was an animal-based question which asked what are foxes? Having some knowledge about  animals, Dougie was able to answer it correctly, picking canines (Tom thought it would be felines, thinking again the question would be too obvious. “Good thing I don’t have a Potato” said Tom to himself).

“Here, it’s all yours!” said Dougie, tossing the potato to Harry. The next question was from the Greek Myth which asked ‘Tithonus was the only immortal to_’ “But I don’t know Greek Myths and I gotta get rid of this potato!” yelled Harry, not wanting to lose points again. He hastily picked ‘Grow Old’ which was the right answer, much to his relief. “Here Matt, you can have it” said Harry, giving it to him.

The question that was picked next was from a pack that has quotes based on the popular Sonic The Hedgehog character Shadow. It asked “In Sonic Heroes, what does Shadow say during the Team Chaotix battle?” “Huh? I’ve played Sonic Heroes yet I don’t remember that one line” said Matt so he had to take a wild guess, picking ‘You’re not even worth killing, how pathetic’. Unfortunately, it was the wrong answer (the correct answer is ‘You should thank me for letting you live’), causing Matt to lose a lot of points as the potato exploded on him. “Too bad, there goes your points!” laughed Tom.  “Why me??!!” he cried.  “I didn’t even get the potato!” boasted Charlie. “I hate potatoes” muttered Matt.

It was another chance round with Danny and Dougie swapping points. “Oh no! My points!” cried Danny. “Thanks Danny!” said Dougie. Some of them have gained items including Matt who was given a Present which gives other players some extra points. “(Some lemonade would be good right now...). Oh! The Scores!” said Mr Trick who dozed off for a moment before he showed the scoreboard which revealed that Dougie was in the lead as said by Mr Tricks “Dougie is doing great! Look at them go!” Dougie blushed with the compliment.

There was a Maths-based question which asked “What is the Square Root of 2809?” “Maths? I don’t have time to think!” said James upon being daunted with this kind of question. “Does anyone have a calculator?” asked Danny. “I only go to school for Miss Mackenzie” said Matt, referring to one of his songs. The only one who answered it correctly was James (the answer is 53). “Wow James, did you do the Maths? I would have but the time was ticking so my mind was rushing” asked Tom. “My brain is like a supercomputer so I can do any Maths instantly...just kidding, it was a lucky guess” answered James.

The next pack was from The Amazing World of Gumball with the question asking “In ‘The Remote, the remote Nicole bought for Anais turned out to be what?”. “Ah, Cooper has been watching that show” said Danny. “I believe that my kids have been watching it though I don’t think I’ve seen that episode myself” said Charlie. Dougie has never seen The Amazing World of Gumball so he did the eeny-meeny-miney-mo rhyme to pick ‘A garage door opener’ which was the right answer. “You got it right by that rhyming?!” exclaimed Harry in disbelief. “You are one of a kind, just like for one of our song” said James.

An Animal question popped up next which asked ‘How many legs does a Scorpion have?’. While they all answered the question correctly, Tom and Harry pulled a face. “Never been a fan of them” muttered Tom. “They’re so creepy like spiders” said Harry shuttering. “Bet you guys wouldn’t handle being on I’m a Celebrity like me, Danny and Dougie!” said Matt slyly. “Regardless, everyone and their Mom should know this answer” added Charlie.

During the next question, Matt has decided to give the Present item to Charlie to help him catch up. “Here you go Charlie” said Matt but he accidentally selected Dougie, giving him the points. “Thank you Matt!” said Dougie. “Can’t you tell the difference between me and Dougie?!” cried Charlie, much to Matt’s embarrassment. After that, they had another Chance Round with some of the boys receiving items including an Anvil for Dougie, a Magnet for Matt.

The next question was from the Hiragana pack which asked them “What is ‘<’?” The choices of their answers includes ‘re’, ‘tsu’, wa’ and ‘ku.’ With Japanese not being their native language, the McBusted boys were perplexed. “Huh?” asked Harry. Danny asked the Busted boys James, Charlie and Matt “You guys have toured in Japan a while back? Would you guys know?” (McFly did tour in Japan too but that was a long time ago for Danny to remember). “That’s true though even my Japanese is rusty” said Charlie. James thought to himself “I’ve been interacting with some Japanese friends so I have an idea. I think it’s Ku”. Matt was thinking the same too.

But before anyone can select an answer, Dougie being his mischievous self has decided to use the Anvil. “Incoming!” called Dougie and the Anvil dropped on their character’s heads. “What’s happening?” said Danny as the answers were floating about on the screen while their characters were dizzy. “Hey! Come back here!” cried Tom as he tried to click on one of the answers but it was floating away from him. James and Matt tried to select ‘ku’ but both of them clicked on ‘wa’, costing them this round. Only Dougie selected ‘Ku’.

“Stupid anvil!” cried Matt. Dougie laughed at them and said “Too bad for you guys to have a concussion!”, just when the next question is from the Super Mario Pack which asked “Who was the original ‘Rescued Character?’”  “Ah yes, I’ve been playing the Super Mario games so I know this one” said Tom, selecting Pauline. “Just a minute” said Matt who makes use of the Magnet, stealing points from Dougie. “Hey!” he cried. “That’s for using the Anvil!” said Matt. Either way, the answer is Pauline. “I thought it was Peach” said Danny. “Remember, Mario debuted in the Donkey Kong arcade game as Jumpman where he has to rescue Pauline” said James.

They also had a few picture-based questions. One of them was photos of cat breeds, asking what breed is it (the answer is Bombay). “Aw, that one is so cute” said Danny who got so caught up by its cuteness that he didn’t answer the question in time. James got the breed mixed up and said “Not the kind that got my breakfast”. Only Dougie got it right who has some knowledge of the breeds of cats.

They also had drawings of video game characters. “I recognised them from the start” said Charlie (it was a drawing of Sans from Undertale). “I must say that whoever did the sketch is a good artist” said Matt. “Eh, I say it’s a mess” said Harry although he was being salty because he got the question wrong.

The other picture-based question was an image of a retro character which was Zero from the Megaman X series. “Hey! I recognised them and that line of his ‘What I am fighting for?’!” said James answering it correctly while showing off his geeky knowledge. “It’s a good thing that we have our gaming side” said Tom.

After a couple more questions, Mr Tricks announced “That’s the end of this game of Trivia!”, showing the McBusted guys’ positions. Matt, Danny and Harry were in the bottom three (much to Harry’s dismay) while Tom, James, Charlie and Dougie were at the top four. It was pretty close but it was revealed that Dougie was the winner. “Oh yeah! I am the Trivia King!” cheered Dougie. “Alright, it’s another score for us Team McFly after Pokémon!” praised Danny. “Bet I would have won if it weren’t for that one potato!” ranted Matt.

They find Trivia Tricks so fun that they decide to have another game. “But this time, let’s face a boss” suggested Tom. There were several bosses to choose from (some of which specialise in certain categories although Workshop-based packs are turned off) but they decided to choose the boss that resembled a shadowy creature with yellow eyes called Negative. “Bet this will make the game edgy” said Dougie. They all have to work together as a team to beat Negative. “Good luck everyone, we can do it” said Danny encouragingly. “Let’s combine our brains together” said Matt. “Us against the one boss shouldn’t be too hard” said Harry with confidence.

The first question which was a music-based question however has caught them off guard. It asked them; “How does David Bowie describe Bob Dylan’s voice in Song for Bob Dylan?” which the choices of answers were ‘Like Sand and Glue’, ‘Like gems and glass’, ‘Like silk and cream’ and ‘Like foil and fluff’.  The answer is ‘Like Sand and Glue’ but because the answers look similar to each other, their brains have turned into spaghetti with them getting mixed up. “Uh, it’s one” said Danny picking ‘Like silk and cream’. “No it’s this one!” said James choosing ‘Like foil and fluff’. “I’m pretty sure it’s Like gems and glass!” said Charlie. As a result, only Negative got the answer right. "Oh duh, it’s ‘Like Sand and Glue’” said Tom slapping his face.

The next question was a sports-based question which asked “Which of the following is NOT a division in boxing?” “You watch boxing don’t you Danny? What’s the answer?” asked Dougie. “To be honest, my mind has gone blank” said Danny. “Let’s try Middleweight. It doesn’t sound like a division compared to the other answers” suggested Charlie. They all went for Middleweight but the answer is Ironweight. “Dang! If only I remember!” said Danny who placed his hands on his eyes in embarrassment. “It happens to the best of us” said James reassuring him.

They had another music-based question, asking “Kurt Cobain claimed ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ was a rip off of which other rock groups?” with the choices including Pixies, L7, Hole and Soundgarden. They weren’t sure which one so they decided to split their answers with the McFly boys picking l7 and the Busted boys choosing Soundgarden but the answer is Pixies with only Negative getting it right. “Oh, I just recalled that Nirvana’s music does sound similar to the Pixies with their quiet verses and loud choruses” said Matt who just realised. “I believe they’re the oldest bands while the rest were formed after Nirvana” said Tom. “Come on! We as musicians should know this!” cried Harry in frustration.

A question about animals was next which asked “What can pigs NOT do?” The McBusted boys couldn’t agree with the answer. “I’ve heard the saying ‘Sweating like a Pig’ so the answer must not be sweat” said Danny. “Maybe they’re the kind of animals that would have a poor hearing so I say hear” said Matt. “Nah, I say they would be too fat to jump” said Harry. So they split their answers with only James and Dougie getting it right which was sweat. “Don’t be fooled as the phrase ‘Sweating like a pig’ is a lie! Also, we had a photo shoot with a Pig so we should know this Charlie and Matt!” said James. “Then why someone has come up with the phrase?” said Danny in confusion. “You’re telling me” said Charlie sheepishly.

Then there was a Food & Drink question which asked ‘Is a Cucumber a fruit or vegetable?’ The McBusted were arguing over what is the right answer. “My Mom has always given me cucumbers in the salad bowl so they are a vegetable!” said Harry. “But Cucumbers have seeds in them which makes them a fruit!” argued Tom. “Objection! Cucumbers taste savoury and tough unlike fruit so I say that's what makes them vegetables!” claimed Matt. “Not so fast! I know for a fact that you can grow cucumbers from a cucumber plant so we should pick fruit!” objected James.

So they split their answers with Danny, Charlie, Matt and Harry picking vegetable while James, Tom and Dougie selected fruit. The answer was fruit which makes those three correct but unfortunately, Negative has also chosen fruit. “Cucumbers, out of all the...fruits” said Danny awkwardly. “You’re not making this another eggs are you?” asked Dougie mockingly.

It was the end of the round with Negative saying “You’ll regret facing me!” who then distributed purple-coloured balls glowing in dark aura. They were similar to chance round balls except that those balls deduct their points. With the McBusted boys getting many answers wrong, their scores were even lower, making them lagging behind Negative. “Uh, this doesn’t look good” said Tom nervously.

“Congrats to Negative. The rest um...sucks to be you?” said Mr Trivia. “Ouch, that’s harsh men” said Dougie dryly.

The McBusted boys realised that they got to do better than that as said by Harry “Come on guys, we gotta work as a team here!” Danny was still calm and said “Don’t worry, we can do this!” “The power of friendship, in the palm of my hand” said James.

They had another question about music, asking “Which of the following Ed Sheeran tracks has the most streams on Spotify?” Their choices were Shape of You, Thinking Out Loud, Perfect and Photograph. The McBusted boys discussed among themselves. “Ooo, those songs of his are pretty popular but which one could it be?” asked Tom who was perplexed. “I’ve heard that Thinking of Loud has remained in the UK’s Top 40 for an entire year so maybe its success could be reflected on Spotify?” suggested Danny. “I see what you mean though I have been listening to Photograph on my playlist a dozen times” said Matt.

“Guys, I’ve just remembered that Shape of You has 3.6 billion streams which is a lot so let’s go with Shape of You” said James. So they followed James’ suggestion and he was correct. “Alright, our first correct answer as a team thanks to you James!” cheered Charlie although Negative has also picked Shape of You so they still have a long way to go to beat him.

Afterwards, they had a sports-based question. The question was “Who was Muhammad Ali’s opponent for ‘The Rumble in the Jungle?’” with the choices includes George Foreman, Floyd Patterson, Joe Frazier and Sonny Liston. “I don’t watch boxing and I barely know any of these names” said Dougie. “I only know Joe Frazier from one of The Simpsons episodes and a character from the video game Punch Out is partly based on him” said James as he was thinking. Harry asked Danny “Hey Mush, you’re a boxing fan right? Do you know the answer?”

Danny thought hard for a moment and said “...Oh I think I know! It’s George Foreman! Ali has won against him in that match!” So they all picked George Foreman and it was right with Negative picking the wrong answer. “Good job Danny!” cheered Tom, patting him on the back. “That’ll make up for your earlier mistake with that other sports question” said James praising him. Danny just smiled modestly.

The next question was a True or False question which says “Snow Leopards have the loudest roar of all cats.” “I don’t think I’ve heard a Snow Leopard roar before” said Matt. Charlie was thinking hard and said “They do live high up in the Himalayas so maybe they need to be loud so that they can hear each other.” “That does sound right” said Harry. They were about to pick True but Dougie said “Hold it! Some cats cannot roar and Snow Leopards are one of them.” “Since you’re the animal expert, we’ll take your word” said James and they all picked False. It turned out that Dougie was right. “Well done Dougs!” cheered Danny, hugging him. “Thanks though it seems that Negative knows his animals too” said Dougie with Negative getting it right.

Another music-based question has appeared. This time, it asked “What was the name of Taylor Swift’s album which broke streaming records in 2023?” The choices were Midnight, Lover, Folklore and Reputation.  They all think hard. “Could it be Lover?” asked Danny. “Folklore had 80.6 streams since its release but could it have doubled since then?” asked Tom. “Wonder how many Streams does Reputation have?” asked  James. Charlie then said “Guys, I’ve just remembered hearing that Midnight had a massive 4.86 billion streams. Let’s go for that!” and they followed his suggestion which was correct with Negative picking Lover. “Way a go Charlie!” said Matt patting his shoulder.

The following question was picked from the sports category, asking “During Soccer’s 2018 World Cup final, Antoine Griezmann celebrated by performing a dance from which video game?” with the choices of answers include Fortnite, Minecraft, Donkey Kong Country and Among Us. “Wouldn’t it technically be a video game-based question?” asked Dougie. “But which one could it be? I wouldn’t recognise the dance” said Matt. The others weren’t so sure. “How about we do a split? That way, at least one of us will get the question right” suggested Tom. “Sounds like a good idea” said Harry and they all split the answers with Danny and Tom picking Fortnite, James and Matt choosing Minecraft, Dougie and Harry selecting Donkey Kong Country and Charlie choosing Among Us which was also picked by Negative (with Charlie who pulled a face saying “Trust me to pick the same answer as Negative”). Danny and Tom turned out to be correct with those two hugging each other in triumphant.

“I must say that facing Negative is edgy” said Dougie. “Edgy? I’ll show you edgy!” said Negative as if he responded to Dougie, giving out the deduction balls that took away some of their points. “So dark...so edgy” said Mr Tricks wearily. “Too much edgyness” said James. Although the McBusted boys were doing better, they were still just behind Negative. “Least we’re getting better” said Matt. “Yeah, we still have a chance to do this” said Danny calmly.

Afterwards, the next question was from the Anime pack. The question is “In ‘My Deer Friend Nokotan’, what is Nokotan’s favourite food?” None of the McBusted boys have seen this Anime so they got stuck. “I don’t think I have heard of this anime before” said Danny who was thrown in a loop. “It could be any of them” said Dougie who was looking at the three answers which included ‘Deer Steak’, ‘Deer Crackers’ and ‘Deer Gummies’. Matt just had a thought “Guys I think it’s Deer Crackers! I’ve heard that in Nara, you can give Deer Crackers to Deers for them to feed on so it must be a reference to that!” So they picked Deer Crackers which was the right answer (although Negative have also selected that answer). “Well done for thinking outside the box Matt!” said James praising him and patting him on the back. “Yeah, we have been wanting to do this for our Japan tour but we couldn’t fit it into our schedule” said Matt.

They had a True or False question from the Science & Technology category which said “True or False: Most pipes are made using Tin as the main element.” They were thinking hard with Dougie saying “It’s been a while since I did any DIY so I wouldn’t know.” “What are pipes made out of anyway?” asked Charlie. Harry just said “Oh, I did some housework with my wife the other day. We have to replace some gutter pipes and they certainly were not made out of tin so it must be false” said Harry. So they all picked False while Negative picked True. The answer is False with an explanation (that appears for some of the questions that explain why it’s that answer) that says “Tin is very weak, so it is not used to make pipes!” “Ah that makes sense. Still, good job Harry!” said Tom.

A question from the Sports category was the next to pop up, asking “Which of the following soccer clubs was NOT part of the cancelled European Super League’s announced founding 12 clubs?” The choices includes Paris Saint-Germain, FC Barcelona, Inter Milan and Arsenal. “Which one could it be?” asked Dougie who barely knows anything about football. “Your guess is as good as mine Dougie” said Matt. “I have a feeling it could be FC Barcelona or Inter Milan” said Charlie though he wasn’t too sure. Just about when they intended to split their answers, Danny said “Guys! Guys! I think it’s Paris Saint-Germain! I remembered hearing about the Super League and Paris was not one of the clubs!” So they quickly selected Paris Saint-Germain which was the right answer (Negative have picked it too). “Way a go Mush!” cheered Harry. “Good thing we have at least one of us who has some football knowledge. Or maybe it’s your time in Soccer Aid is rubbing on you” said James. Danny giggled and blushed in response.

The next question asked “In which ‘Star Wars’ movie did Jar Jar Binks first appear?” As a fan of Star Wars, Tom immediately said “It’s The Phantom Menace!” so everyone instantly went for that answer, getting it right. “Ah yes, I actually liked Jar Jar. He and Ahmed Best deserved better” said Danny.  “Negative seems to think so too” said Dougie with Negative also getting it right.

They were then asked “’The Capybara is the world largest what?” which is from the animal category. They all picked Rodent having to seen them at Chester Zoo. "They are like big Hamsters" said Harry.

“You’re starting to tick me off!” said Negative who once again gave the McBusted boys his reduction balls with it being the end of the round. “That looked painful...” said Mr Trick wearily. The scoreboard reveals that the McBusted boys were just about ahead of Negative. “Come on guys, we can do it!” said Matt who was getting excited. “We shall beat that dark fiend with the power of our teamwork” said James.

The McBusted boys continued to work together as a team, competing against Negative. Sometimes they got the answers right, other times they got the question wrong with Negative getting them right or getting it wrong. But in the end with their teamwork, The McBusted boys have just about earned enough total points to beat Negative, coming out on top.

“We did it!” cheered Charlie as they all couldn’t help but jump off their seats and jump for joy, high-fiving, bro-fisting and hugging each other. “Wait...I lost?!” said Negative in disbelief. “Looks like we’re all  the kings of Trivia, especially me of course!” said Dougie celebrating. “We are the champions who keep on fighting until the end!” cheered Matt in a singing voice. “The winners that takes it all!” added Harry. “Until next time!” said Mr Trick as the game closed.

“We all showed that we can work well as a team when it comes to co-op!” said James. “Yeah, we should do this more often” said Danny as he smiled at his bandmates. “We can all agree that Trivia Tricks is fun trivial game all thanks to Three-Tricks with their hard work along with those who came up with workshop packs” said Tom happily.

Having to enjoy Trivia Tricks, the McBusted boys agreed that they all have fun whenever they’re playing against each other or teaming up together as one thing for sure that video games bring them together (aside from music) for all the good times that brought them all closer.
