McBusted meets Anakin Skywalker: The Forces of light that beats the darkness

 Here's my latest story with McFly and Busted as McBusted, meeting up with hottest Star Wars character Anakin Skywalker as protrayed by Hayden Christensen who offered to help them to unlock their psychic powers. They soon clash in with each other when his darker side emerges. Enjoy 

The forces of light that beats the darkness

 Chapter 1 - A Destined Meeting 

 Two boy bands who are friends with each other McFly and Busted, joined together as McBusted were having a day off together by gathering at the food court for lunch. Danny Jones, Tom Flecther, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd from McFly and James Bourne, Charlie Simpson and Matt Willis from Busted were sitting at a large table, exchanging jokes, banter and stories when something caught Dougie’s attention on the massive TV screen hanging above them.

 “Hey guys, isn’t that Anakin Skywalker from the Star Wars prequel movies?” asked Dougie, pointing to the screen. The others drew their attention to the TV and saw Anakin Skywalker, known to be a powerful Jedi from the Galaxy far away. Although he looked bewildered having to arrive in an unfamiliar place, the Jedi gives off a powerful aura with his serious, brooding looks and a strong physic. The news anchor suggested that Anakin had come from a mysterious wormhole to London that had appeared out of nowhere.

 “Blimey, it is! I wonder what he’s doing here?!” exclaimed Danny who dropped his fork into his food with astonishment. Being a Star Wars fan, Tom couldn’t resist this opportunity and said “We just got to meet him!”

 The others agreed which could lead to an adventure. Without hesitating, they rushed out of the food court, leaving their half-eaten lunches behind. To them, meeting up with Anakin Skywalker is bound to be an interesting experience.

 The others agreed, and without hesitation, they left their half-eaten lunches behind and rushed out of the food court. They had no idea what was coming, but they knew this was something they couldn't miss.

 The McBusted boys have arrived on the scene where reporters were interviewing Anakin with all sorts of questions including how and why he is here. Even in the chaotic situation, Anakin remained composed and had a commanding presence.

 He happened to be done with the interview when the McBusted boys were calling to him. “Hey Anakin! We are McFly and we have heard so much about you!” called Tom (with Danny, Dougie and Harry next to him). “And we’re Busted! We wanna be your Padawans!” called James (Matt and Charlie were close to him).

 Anakin turned and sensed some power within them which took his interest. He approached them and said “I sense some great powers within you all.” The McBusted boys were stunned to hear this from him. “Huh? What do you mean?” asked Charlie whose eyes were widened.

 Anakin nodded with his blue eyes observing them like an owl watching its prey, sensing an aura dormant within them. “I can sense great strength in all of you. I don’t know what it is yet I can almost feel the force in each of you” said Anakin as he stepped closer to them with his gaze lingering on them (though he couldn’t help but gaze at their handsome features including Danny’s muscular arms and Dougie's cute face). Danny blushed in awe at him being the nearest to Anakin (though it’s also the fact that he was portrayed by Hayden Christensen who he met a while back yet this is the real Anakin).

 “Really?” asked Danny who was taking it in. “So we have the Jedi within us?” asked Matt half-jokingly but half-bewilderment. “I like to see that power unlocked to greater heights and potential if you allow me to accompany you all as my Padawans.”

 The boys exchanged looks with a mixture of surprise and excitement. “How could we resist that opportunity?” said Tom eagerly which to him was like a dream coming true. “Watch me becoming the most powerful Jedi!” said Harry. “Let’s see if we can become a Jedi tonight!” said James. That was their way of joking though it shows that they couldn’t pass this up too as said by Anakin “This is where the fun begins”.

 Chapter 2 - Power to Play  

 Over the next few days, Anakin began training McFly and Busted, helping them to unlock their psychic powers which are as follows;

 Danny is shown to have superhuman strength, able to lift heavy objects and break down walls with ease along with physical-based combat moves including punches and kicks mixed with psychic energy that gives him extra strength and coordination. Danny uses these powers to protect his friends (such as by lifting a huge boulder that was blocking their path and taking out thugs that dare to harm others) yet he is still prone to clumsy moments as shown when he tripped over, shattering the boulder into pieces which makes it hilarious for everyone with some seeing him as a Himbo. Even Anakin couldn’t help but smile with his humour.

 Tom unlocked the power to control time and space including by temporary freezing time and bending space. With his strategic thinking, he can use these powers to outwit some thugs such as by using his time-stop powers to prevent them from getting away yet he couldn’t contain his excitement using the kind of powers that are shown in Science Fiction movies. His enthusiasm reminds Anakin of his younger days when he was more innocent.

 James received the ability to control elements including wind, water, fire and electricity. His fascination with using all kinds of elemental powers has got him motivated to use them in creative ways including using his wind-based powers to blow numerous debris at the thugs and drench the enemies with water, followed by shocking them with electricity. Anakin appreciates the way he makes use of his elemental powers that’ll give him an edge even if he has to get used to his eccentric nature as his way to be sociable to him.

Charlie obtained the ability to wield shields, using them to protect his allies from harm including enemies’ attacks bullets or hazards from the surrounding environments such as fire or spikes. He can also use his shields to counter attacks or offensively by tossing the shield towards his opponents. Charlie’s calm, level-headed demeanour helps to provide a rational perspective in even the most hectic situations which even helps to calm down Anakin.

Dougie gained manipulation based abilities including controlling the enemies’ minds like puppets, creating illusions to confuse them and shift-shaping. Being the erratic individual, he uses them in a creative, yet unpredictable manner which catches his enemies off-guard as shown when he shift-shaped into the leader of the thugs who appeared to help them to make their escape from the bank, only for Dougie to lure them towards the sewage hole (although the colour of his eyes remains). Try as he might, Anakin couldn’t help but not dislike him with his quirky mannerisms.

 Matt was granted the ability to manipulate energy, enabling him to create energy blasts with his mind which are often explosive. Even with his wild, impulsive side, he maintained his sense of responsibility to hold back similarly when he kept control of his addiction. This was shown when he unleashed an explosive blast towards the thugs to prevent them from getting away but only to knock them down rather than injuring them or others. Anakin was impressed by the way he keeps control.

 Harry has healing-based moves, using them to heal or power up his allies which comes in use to aid them whenever they get hurt or are facing a stronger opponent. He is not above using his healing powers offensively or using those powers himself which to him suits well with his competitive nature to excel with his abilities and love for playing pranks (including by using his offensive healing powers to slow down his enemies’ speed or prevent them from counterattacking) while still having a caring side as he uses his powers to aid others, for which Anakin appreciated him for when he needed those powers of his even with his brash sense of humour.

 Each of the boys was also shown to have telekinesis and telepathic powers which they used to communicate to each other with their minds as well as sharing the same move that involved firing a comet-like projectile which they called it ‘Star Force Shocker’. The McBusted boys were amazed with the powers that they had awakened within them. “To think that we were gifted with such magical powers!” said James who was just taking it in. “I shall use this to protect everyone!” said Danny as he was flexing his bicep to jokingly show off his super strength.

 In return, Anakin has shown them strength and skills with his force that knocks over thugs like Skittles and uses his signature Lightsaber technique that involves twirling his Lightsaber before striking straight towards the thugs. The McBusted boys were amazed witnessing him. “Wow! You Jedi never cease to amaze me!” said Tom just like with any fanboy. “All of this training must have made you skillful” said Charlie. “More than any Jedi. It’s all about using that power invested in you to protect those you love” replied Anakin admiring their praise. “I agree, we all fight for those close to us” said Danny. “You have the right idea there” said Anakin with a small smile. “I bet I can do better!” said Harry.

 They also took breaks with their sparring. The McBusted boys have  shown their performance which includes Red from McFly, 3am from Busted and 23:59 with both bands combined as McBusted together. Anakin was impressed with their synergic performance and talent. “Wow, I must say that you boys impressed me as boy bands” said Anakin with fasination. “Thanks, it’s what we have been doing as something we love!” said Matt. “It’s what we do as boy bands after all, meeting and inspiring our fans!” said Danny. “Yeah even if we butt-heads or shares showers and baths together” said Dougie saying a bit too much.

 There was one time after their sparring; they were looking at the beautiful night skies while eating outside the restaurant. “We sure have been working hard today thanks to you Anakin and this beautiful scenery is a good way to reward this” said James who felt relaxed seeing this. “I’m still not over the fact that we have hidden powers all along. Still, I wonder if we could learn even more powers. I wouldn’t mind levitating” said Tom with fascination. “That’s something that is even out of my expertise” said Anakin smiling who has got used to their company.

 “But we still have a lot to learn don’t we?” asked Charlie. “If that is what you truly want, then rest assured that I’ll continue to unlock that potential for each of you” replied Anakin. “I need to work on my powers as I still find that I could do better like using my moves at the right time” said Danny. “I know you all have some potential. It’ll come to you” said Anakin who finds himself touching their chins while looking at them in the eye. He couldn’t help but have some admiration for them.

 They were having pizza. “I don’t think I’ve seen this kind of meal this often” said Anakin with interest. “Pizza is the best kind of meal” said Matt having a slice. “You can share it with anyone” said Harry who shared his slice with Tom. “It comes in all kinds of toppings” said Dougie. They shared all kinds of amusing topics including why Anakin hates sand and one time when Danny was on I’m a Celebrity, one of the snakes got into his trousers during his trial on the first day which made everybody laugh. Even Anakin finds it funny.  

 The McBusted boys were proven to work well as a team with each of them working closely together; helping one another while humouring themselves such as Danny punching the thug’s bullets that were aiming at Dougie and James blowing away the bullets aimed at Matt. “What such iron fists you have Danny” said Dougie looking at Danny. “All the better to defend you Dougie” said Danny smiling at him. “You’re taking this by storm James” said Matt. “Well then, you better hang on” said James as they both laughed and smiling at their banter.

 Anakin has mixed feelings watching this. On one hand, he is beginning to see their powers as a team which to him does have some potential. One the other hand, he felt that they were not taking things seriously which to him would make them weaker and reckless as they’re in the face of danger (as shown when Harry and Matt nearly got hit by some thugs who fought them physically when they were showing off or being reckless respectively even if they were helped by Dougie and Charlie).

He also noticed the bonds they have. He does admire their love and conviction to fight for one another which gives them a reason to become stronger just like himself...yet it also gives him sadness, reminding him of how that turned out when he wanted to gain more power for the ones he loved. He feared that they could lose each other if they didn’t take their fights seriously which he believed that it’s the way they can become powerful enough to protect each other, just like he has.

 Likewise, although the McBusted boys have bonded with him for his power and wisdom, they have noticed that his darker side has surfaced at times as shown when he choked on a thug his force before dropping them or violently used his force to slam them onto the wall. Although they were bad guys, the McBusted boys weren’t comfortable with the idea of injuring or even killing them.

 Anakin has also become more aggressive during their training sessions, scolding them harshly whenever they do something wrong or attacking them with his force or Lightsaber in a rough manner during their spar. “You got to use your attacks faster than that if you want to become stronger” he said to Danny and Charlie after he knocked them onto the ground hard with his force while glaring at them.

 After that, Dougie nervously said  “You guys have been noticing that Anakin has been acting moody right?” “You’re not wrong about that. I mean, I would never imagine using my powers for destructive or darker purposes” said Charlie agreeing with him. Even Tom was cautious and said “I guess we have to keep an eye on him and be careful” “Maybe it’ll help if we become a more positive influence on him” added Danny. After all, they knew that they had more powers that needed to be unlocked and discovered while striving to improve using their abilities.

 But it wasn’t until later on that something was off with him.

 Chapter 3: Darker than 3am 

 One day, they were training with Anakin as usual at the countryside near the River Thames where it was isolated from the public. “And now, show me your powers by throwing everything you have to me.” The McBusted did as they were instructed by combining their attacks towards Anakin who repelled them. He then charged his Lightsaber towards Dougie with him being the nearest, only for the others’ protective instinct to kick in and defend him, barely deflecting the blow by firing their Star Force Shocker. “What the hell Men? There’s no need to go rough!” called Tom with him being protective with Dougie. “That’s the problem. You are all holding back and are fooling around too much. The only way to truly unlock your power is to take things seriously and unleash your anger” with Anakin glaring at them fiercely.

“But wouldn’t we lose control by giving into our anger?” asked Matt as he was frowning with awe. “The Jedi were weak. They failed to understand the true power of the dark side along with all of their lies that I see through. That is the only way to become stronger, bringing peace, justice, freedom and security!” said Anakin whose darker side was dangerously starting to show which resembles Darth Vader. “Anakin, this doesn’t feel right. You said about protecting others but this feels wrong!” said Danny with concern.  “Even I wouldn’t go so far just to win!” argued Harry.

“You all don’t understand. The galaxy is consumed with lies, treachery and betrayal. The only way to bring peace is to use power” said Anakin, glaring at them. “It true that the world isn’t all bright and bubbly but it doesn’t always have to be this way” said Dougie. “Why don’t we settle this in a civil manner, not like on social media” said James as his way to deal with the tension. Anakin refused to be reasoned with and drew out his Lightsaber. “I gave you all that chance while I took you all under my wing. You either use that power or fall” said Anakin.

The McBusted boys wearily stood their ground, having no choice but to stop the Jedi who had fallen to the dark side.

 Anakin blasted the McBusted boys with his force. He leapt towards them with his Lightsaber but the McBusted boys aren’t giving up without a fight as they fired their Star Force Shocker towards Anakin, only for him to repel them with his Lightsaber with ease. The boys quickly moved out of the way.Despite outnumbering him and giving their all with their heart and teamwork, Anakin still overwhelmed them with his experience and raw strength.

 Danny boldly fights Anakin at close range using his fists surrounded by psychic power but Anakin just happens to be physically stronger and beats him down.

 Tom unleashed his spheres made out of time that would slow him down in an attempt to catch Anakin off guard but he countered them with his Lightsaber and force.

 James combined his fire and electrical-based powers, attempting to fry and shock him at the same time but Anakin repelled them with his force.

 Charlie tried to counter Anakin’s Lightsaber with his shield but Anakin’s Lightsaber effortlessly shattered it like glass which stunned Charlie.

 Dougie tried to mind control Anakin but he repelled him with his force.

 Matt had his eye on Anakin, trying to catch him with his explosive-based moves but Anakin dodged them all with his speed.

 Harry tried to heal his bandmates but Anakin spotted him and took him down with his force before he could get a chance to do so.

Each of them tried to fire their Star Force Shocker together from different directions but Anakin spotted them and either dodged them or reflected them with his force or Lightsaber.

 The McBusted boys refused to give up, checking up on one another and getting back up. “You all should know that you are all no match for the dark side unless you embrace it” said Anakin. “No! It’s our teamwork that shall prevail as a Supergroup!” declared Tom. “Surly it’s not too late for you to go back?!” added Matt. Anakin paused for a moment and said “...There is no other way! The only way to stop losing your loved ones is to turn to the Dark Side. There is no turning back!” snarled Anakin who once again twirled his Lightsaber towards them. 

 They all did their best fighting together against Anakin with Danny striking him with his punching move to counter his lightsaber while protecting Dougie as he was firing his spheres made from his mind. James and Matt fired their earth power and explosives that were fired on the earth towards his direction and Tom, Harry and Charlie helped each other with Tom distorting the space surrounding Anakin, Harry with his power up and Charlie shielding them with his shields. They also tried to use their telekinesis to lift nearby objects or knock off his Lightsaber but Anakin out-smarted them and reflected the objects tossed towards him with his Lightsaber or force.

  It was a fierce battle, almost as if the McBusted boys had Lightsabers or The Force of their own but Anakin overpowered them by firing his force at them, causing them to fall flat onto the ground.“Anakin! We don’t have to fight!” cried Danny. “It doesn’t have to be this way!” said James desperately. “I gave you all a choice!” said Anakin who knocks them down the edge with his Lightsaber.

 The boys find themselves in a ditch, down but far from out as they help to pick each other up. “Are we alright?” asked James as he helped Charlie to get back up. “I don’t think we stand a chance against Anakin! He’s a powerful Jedi so what do we have?” cried Dougie fearfully. “Maybe it was a mistake to train with a dangerous Jedi” said Charlie anxiously. “Yeah, he’s too strong!” said Harry. “I would rather be with my family or playing music!” cried Matt.

 Danny understood their concerns and was feeling the same way but he knew that they couldn’t give up. He reassured them while looking at them in the eye saying “Don’t give up! Whenever we’re from McFly, Busted or McBusted, we’re in this together.” “He’s right, whenever we’re friends, bandmates, rivals, family or lovers, I know that we can be stronger as one” said Tom doing his bit to lift their spirits as they were all gazing at each other with reassurance. Even if they didn’t say a word, they all knew that they had their faith and belief in each other.

 “Yeah, I’m not going to let some emo Jedi get the best of me!” declared Harry. “I get where he’s coming from as I’ve been through a rough path but I know that giving into darkness is not the answer. We got to make him realise that” said Matt. They all agreed with that.

 They may have gone through some darker times but they had each other, friends and family with them so that they won’t have to be alone and now they have the courage to use that to beat Anakin.

 But first, they have to climb their way up the hill. Their only option was to climb up. Their bruises from their battle with Anakin have made it harder to get a grip on the cliff walls, not helping that it was unstable which could cause them to fall off at any minute. Each of them felt unnerved but they supported one another to keep on going.

  “Go on Mush, you can do it” said Harry to Danny while he was struggling to climb up but felt secure with Harry’s encouragement. “Keep going James” said Charlie gently which made James feel safer. “I got you both back” said Matt to Tom and Dougie.

 There was also one time when Harry, Charlie and Matt lost their grip but Danny, James, Tom and Dougie grabbed hold of them just in time. “I won’t let you go Mush!” said Danny. “I got you Charlie!” said James. “You have us McFlys so that you won’t get Busted” said Dougie. Each of them felt warm with their rescue as they looked directly at each other in the eye.

 Suddenly, the cliff became uneven as it gave way, causing them to fall. They all fearfully held each other tightly...until they were floating in midair. This is when they noticed that they had gained the power to levitate. “Wow! This is amazing!” cheered Tom. “I’m flying!” said Danny with amazement. Deep down, they knew that it was made possible with the love and support for each other. They levitated upwards while linking together with their hands as if they could never let go.

 Chapter 4 - The force is with us

  The McBusted boys have risen towards Anakin and fired their Star Force Shocker. Anakin was so surprised that he took a hit from all of their attacks.  From this point on, they give Anakin a run for his money with their teamwork and bond including with Dougie and James firing their mind spheres and spheres made out of wind with Danny punching those moves with his punches that give them a greater force that hits Anakin before he could deflect them with his Lightsaber.

Anakin charged towards them and was about to strike them with his Lightsaber but Charlie and Harry defended them with their shield and a defensive power-up combined which created an even stronger shield. This was Tom and Matt’s cue to combine their time spheres and explosive bombs towards Anakin which knocked him down.

Anakin was surprised that they suddenly became a lot stronger but he still wasn’t backing down. He once again charged his Lightsaber towards the Busted boys but the McFly boys defended them with Danny stopping him with his kicks which was followed by Dougie shocking him with his telekinetic shock, Tom slowing him down with his time stop and Harry healing any damage they took. As soon as Anakin got around, he was about to unleash his force at the McFly boys but it was the Busted’s boys turn to defend them with James firing his pyrokinesis, followed by Matt summoning an explosive attack underneath him and Charlie countering his Lightsaber with his shield.

It was like an amazing performance with both bands combining their talent and love for each other.  It was made possible with the McBusted boys commutating together telepathy; knowing what they are thinking for them to watch over each other and to work as one with their bond and trust.

“But how’s this possible?” cried Anakin. “You may have the power but our love helps us to overcome any darkness!” said Tom. “More than anyone falling to the dark side can achieve!” said Charlie. “Combined with our optimism!” said Harry.  “Even we don’t have it easy but we have each other to pull us out from the darkness!” said Matt.

It was when Anakin realised that he had only caused pain and misery to his loved ones while falling to the dark side and took on innocent lives while accomplishing nothing. They had each other while he had no one, having to lose them or push them away. With that, the McBusted boys fired their Star Force Shocker, causing Anakin to fall onto the edge towards the River Thames but they all grabbed him just in time.

They carried Anakin to safety. “But why? All of you...are proven to be better than me” lamented Anakin. “No, we’re not perfect but I believe that there is still some good in you and there’s still a chance to turn back. You just have to choose it” said Danny. “Yeah,  maybe if you were brought here from another world, I say there’s another path for a new possibility” said James.  “Like I said, we've all been through darkness but by not giving in, that is where true strength lies within you” said Matt. “Just be a good boy and don’t do crazy stuff that leans you towards the dark side” said Dougie.

 Anakin gave them a small smile and said “...Thanks, you all done what I couldn’t done by staying true to yourselves.” This made Anakin consider thinking about where to go from there.

A wormhole that leads Anakin back to his home world has appeared. “This is my cue to go back to my own world” said Anakin. Each of the McBusted has mixed feelings. While the McBusted boys agreed that this could be a new opportunity for Anakin to seek redemption and to try to walk another path, a part of them couldn’t help but if he could use that chance by staying with them and for them to understand each other’s perspectives more, especially with their time together is ending on a bittersweet note.

“Anakin, we too have battled through the darkness before but if you stay with us, we’ll show that you’re not alone” said Danny who felt some emotion. “We maybe different but we still have a chance for us to work things out” said Dougie with a bit of sorrow.

 Anakin sombrely looked at them. A part of him has grown closer to them with their time together and what they did to him but he realised that he’s not the kind of role model that they should be looking up to because of his actions when he tampered with the dark side. He also feared losing them like he has with his loved ones so he thought it would be for the best to walk the new path alone.

“I am thankful to meet people like you all but no, this is something that I have to figure out myself” said Anakin regretfully. “I guess there is no stopping you even if I still feel that we have so much more potential” said Charlie as they were just accepting his choice. “I have taught you all enough. It’s you McBusted boys who are the ones who taught me” replied Anakin with a small smile. The McBusted boys smiled back as they bid their farewell, hoping to meet each other again someday.

 “May the force be with you all. Make sure you all keep on using that potential to protect your loved ones and promise to don’t make the same mistakes that I have” said Anakin looking at them sincerely. The McBusted boys nodded at him back as they watched him stepped back into the wormhole.

As the wormhole closed, James asked “Do you think he can really change his fate?” “If we’re capable of getting out of our own darkness, then I believe in him” replied Matt as they all have hope for his future.

In the aftermath, the McBusted boys stood together closely. “Well, I guess that’s one way to spend our lunch break” said Tom grinning. “I bet our food would have been cold by now” said Harry jokingly and they all laughed together. There’s no doubt that this experience has a strong impression on them but they know that their bond is stronger than ever which gives them the strength to handle anything together.
