McBusted's Pokémon Adventures Part 10 - Mega Legends in Hisui

 Here is part ten of my fan fiction for two of my favourite boy bands McFly and Busted in their super group McBusted where they continued their tour in the world of Pokémon, only this time, they were sent to the Hisui region from Pokémon Legends Arceus. The McBusted boys have been told by Volo that collecting the plates will send them home. Volo however has a hidden agenda. Enjoy and stay tuned for more. 

Mega Legends in Hisui

 

Chapter 1: Into an ancient land

 McFly and Busted, joined together as a supergroup, McBusted, have been touring throughout the Pokémon regions, but today, they were taking a day off for rehearsals and just taking it easy. They were with their shiny Gallade and shiny Gardevoir.

 The McBusted boys were using this day off to attach their Mega Stones Galladite and Gardevorite (given to them by their fan Dominic back in the Kalos region) onto a bracelet, giving them to the respective Pokémon. They then worked on attaching the Key Stone to a guitar. “We should consider using Mega Evolution soon, starting with these two” suggested Danny. “Yeah and face off each other using their Mega Evolution” said James with a glint in his eye. “I can’t wait to see their Mega Evolution in action just like we have before” said Dougie with interest. Gallade and Gardevoir were eager with the idea.

 Suddenly, something unexpected happened as the McBusted boys, Gallade and Gardevoir were engulfed in a bright, swirling light which led them to a mysterious wormhole before any of them could react (taking their instruments with them). This has taken them to an unfamiliar vast, ancient land. 

 “Hey where are we?” said Danny with puzzlement. “It looks like we’re been sent back in time somehow” concluded Matt looking around. “We didn’t even drive a DeLorean” said Dougie jokingly. “But we can’t stay here! We’ll be touring in Paldea in the next few days!” said Tom anxiously. “But how do we get back?” asked Harry. 

 It was that moment when a man approached them. He had a charismatic smile and a certain mysterious air about him. “Greeting travellers. I am Volo, a humble merchant. Are you all lost? I can tell that you all are not from around here” said Volo who seemed surprised yet calm. Gallade and Gardevoir somehow couldn’t help but be defensive, guarding the McBusted boys. But Charlie moved forward and said “Why yes, we are McFly and Busted as our supergroup McBusted. We were practicing for our tour and we somehow ended up here.” “Can you please tell us what is this place and if you know a way we can get back home?” asked James.

 Volo’s smile widened and said “Certainly, this world is known as Hisui; the land that is full of ancient legends. It seems that all of you were brought here by a force far greater than any of us. But fear not, I know a way that’ll help you to get back to your home.” “Really? That’ll be great” said Harry. “The key to open the portal to return to your home are ancient artefacts known as the Plates of Arceus, the creator of all Pokémon. I believe that gathering all 17 will open that portal.”

 “That sounds great but where do we find them?” asked Tom. “You’ll find all but one according to this map. Come and meet me at Temple of Sinnoh when you have found 16 of them” said Volo, leading them to the gates that’ll lead them to their first destination in Hisui; Obsidian Field lands.

 “Well what are we waiting for? Let’s do this!” said Danny who is excited to have this opportunity for an adventure. As they made their way, Volo looked at them who was hiding something from them. Along the way, Charlie just realised something and said “Wait, did he say the Temple of Sinnoh? Sinnoh the name of the region that we been too!” “Maybe we’re in the land before the modern-day Sinnoh” suggested Dougie. “Guess this could be a chance to see what Sinnoh was like in the old days” said Matt who was intrigued by this conclusion.

 Chapter 2: Frenzied Maythem

 As soon as they arrived in Obsidian Field lands, they found Pokémon who had red eyes and were acting in a berserk state, terrorizing everywhere. Some of which were bigger than their normal size. “Woah! What on earth is going on here?!” cried Harry upon seeing the horrific sight. “I didn’t expect Hisui to be this dangerous” said Charlie wearily.

 There were two clan leaders; Adaman, the leader of the Diamond Clan and Irida, the leader of the Pearl Clan who were using their Pokémon including Leafeon and Glaceon to calm them down but to no avail. Both Adaman and Irida have spotted the McBusted boys. “Stay back! This place is off limits!” warned Adaman. “Could you tell us what’s going on?” asked Tom. “Those Pokémon are acting aggressively out of the blue. We’ve been trying to calm them down but nothing seems to work” answered Irida.

 “Please let us help. We can’t bear to see these Pokémon acting out like this” pleaded Danny. “We may not look it or are not from this world but we do have some expertise in our hands” said James. Adaman can tell that they have determination and spirit. “Well then, we could use some extra helping hand” said Adaman smiling with encouragement. “If you all insist, then please help us to defend those Pokémon that have just been attacked!” said Irida, pointing to some non-frenzied Pokémon that were attacked by a Mismagius and Honchkrow in their larger size which makes them Alpha Pokémon.

 The McBusted boys bravely charged in and Gallade quickly struck Mismagius using his Knock Off and Gardevoir fired her Moonblast at Honchrow, taking them down for super effective damage. The Pokémon that were attacked were grateful for their rescue, rushing over towards the McBusted boys. They include Roserade, Gastrodon in its West Sea Form, Hisusian Decidueye, Ursaluna, Hisusian Typhlosion, Hisusian Goodra and Hisusian Samurott. “I can tell that you all want to help us in return” said Dougie. “Alright, you can count on us!” said Matt. The rescued Pokémon were willing to be their partners.

 Danny teamed up with Roserade to take down a frenzied Gliscor. “Roserade! Fire your Sludge Bomb!” called Danny and the masquerade rose fired its Sludge Bomb at the flying scorpion. This caused Gliscor to become poisoned but it turned out that Gliscor have the ability Poison Heal which heals the damage instead of taking the poison damage. Quickly, Danny makes up for it by commanding Roserade to fire its Leaf Storm to deal massive damage to Gliscor just when it dives towards Roserade using X-Scissor. “As they say, every rose has its thorns” said Danny holding a rose.

 Tom and Gastrodon were up against Lumineon. The butterfly fish took advantage of its graceful movements to outpeed the sea slug and fire its Dazzling Gleam at Gastrodon which was powered up by its Storm Drain ability with Gastrodon firing its Scald earlier. It then fired its own Scald at Gastrodon but it also had Strom Drain, taking no damage from Water-type moves and raising its Special Attack. “How do you like them apples?!” said Tom with Gastrodon unleashing its Earth Power on Lumineon.

 “Say, I recall Danny having a Decidueye. Let’s see how this one matches up with his” said James who teamed up with Hisusian Decidueye to take down a Luxray. The electrical lion charges in with its powerful electrical moves including Supercell Slam which makes it harder for Hisusian Decidueye to fight at close range. However, Luxray was about to use Supercell Slam again when James told Hisuisan Decidueye to dodge at the last second, causing Luxray to miss and hit itself. “Look before you leap as they say” said James causally with Hisuisan Decidueye using this chance to fire its Triple Arrows at Luxray.

 Charlie partnered with Ursaluna who were fighting against an Overqwil. The devious pufferfish with large spikes dodged the land bear’s Headlong Rush and jabbed it using Barb Barrage, causing Ursaluna to become poisoned. However, this turned into strength with Ursaluna’s ability Guts powered it up to gain an Attack boost, dealing extra damage using Facade. “May fugu be banned!” said Charlie as Ursaluna successfully charged in using Headlong Rush.

 “You need a time out!” said Dougie with Yanmega firing its Bug Buzz that shattered the trees. The Hisusian Goodra that Dougie allied with fired its Flash Cannon at the ancient dragonfly Pokémon to stop it from destroying the trees. Yanmega spotted Hisusian Goodra and fired its Energy Ball at it but Hisusian Goodra took no damage with its Sap Sapper ability. “Just like Charlie’s Goodra but without the shell” said Dougie and Hisuisan Goodra finished it off with its Flamethrower.

 “Now this will be an opportunity to try out Tom’s Pokémon that he had in Johto; only more stoner” said Matt who took control of Hisusian Typhlosion, fighting against Steelix. The giant iron snake unleashed its Earthquake which destroyed nearby rocks that shattered into shards. “Quick! Defend yourself with your flames!” said Matt with Hisuisan Typhlosion releasing ghostly flames towards the stones which also hit Steelix, causing a burn. “Now we hex you” said Matt as Hisuian Typhlosion used Hex on Steelix, dealing twice as much damage with it being burned.

 “Bet I can make this Samurott stronger than the one Charlie has” said Harry who fights Whiscash with his Hisusian Samurott. The catfish Pokémon charged into Hisusian Samurott using Liquidation but Harry ordered Hisusian Samurott to stop its tracks with its shell blade using Ceaseless Edge. This has also released Spikes which hurts Whiscash, weakening it further for Hisusian Samurott to finish it off using Sucker Punch before it could strike.

 A few more frenzied Pokémon were left remaining including Wyrdeer who charged in using Psyshield Bash and Vespiquen who summoned its underlings to attack using Attack Order but Gallade stopped Wyrdeer’s tracks by holding it with its blades and Gardevoir repelling the underlings using Hyper Voice (it has also copoed Wyrdeer's ability Intimidate using Trace which lower it's atack stat which helped Gallade to make it easier to restain it), allowing the McBusted boy’s Pokémon to finish them off.

 Once the frenzied Pokémon were subdued, Adaman and Irida have led them towards their camp so that they could get away from these Pokémon while they can. They also healed the McBusted boy's Pokémon’s wounds. “I can tell that you all have the expertise when it comes to Pokémon along with the compassion and determination to help them” said Adaman who was proud of them. “It’s no wonder the Pokémon you have rescued have taken a liking to you. Your teamwork is amazing too for a large group” said Irida with amazement.

 “Trust us, we’ve been raising and battling Pokémon during our tour, having adventures along the way” explained Tom. “We may come from different pop bands but we are close friends with each other” said Charlie as they all looked at each other in the eye. “It’s just like us clans. We were rivals yet the recent incidents involved frenzied Pokémon have brought us closer” said Adaman. “Yeah, we all love Pokémon after all even if I have to stick with him for a while longer” said Irida. “Oh come on now, I’m not that bad aren’t I?” teased Adaman, much to Irida’s annoyance. “Well it’s just like when we have to put up with this lot!” said Harry humouring them. “It’s just my luck to breathe the same space as you!” said James joining in their banter. Everyone laughed.

 Once they regained their composure, Irida asked “So what brings you all here?” “We came from another world and were told that the plates would help us to bring us back home” explained Danny. “Come to think of it, we have found this plate which was unearthed by the Pokémon that were fought earlier. Consider this our reward” said Adaman who gave them a Mind Plate. “We can’t thank you all enough!” said Matt.

 The McBusted boys then resumed their quest. After they left, Irida said to Adaman “I’m not sure if those plates would have such power to bring them back home. Maybe I should have told them” Adaman had an idea. “Didn’t they say they’re a pop band? I recall finding this song at The Temple of Sinnoh that is said to reach the heavens. Let’s go and check it out” said Adaman.

 In the meantime, The McBusted boys have worked together to find the other plates throughout Hisui, keeping each other safe, fighting out more frenzied Pokémon, helping others (including defending a group of Bidoofs from a Frenzied Alpha Crobat) and raising their new Pokémon. They were then ready to meet up with Volo at The Temple of Sinnoh.

 Chapter 3: A Mega Revelation

As the McBusted boys meet up with Volo on top of The Temple of Sinnoh,  “Thank you all for doing all the hard work for me” said Volo showing them the final plate; The Spooky Plate. “Huh? What do you mean?” asked Matt who suddenly felt wary. “You all have exactly what I needed” said Volo smiling but it was a sinister smile, rather than a friendly one as a time-space rift was opening with dark, powerful energy. Gallade and Gardevoir were on guard as they fierily protected the McBusted boys.

 “What’s happening?” said Tom who was feeling a nervous vibe. “Alright, what’s going going on here?” demanded Harry. “Fools, you believe that the plates have the power to send you all home? They have the power I needed to summon Arceus. Long have I waited to have this chance of meeting it!” said Volo whose true nature was slowly unravelling.

 Volo then admitted “If you all wondering how you all got here in the first place and why those Pokémon have become frenzied; then it just happened to be the result of me using Giratina; the Pokémon that was sealed away from this world due to its violence to open up the space-time rift so that I can meet Arceus. After all, it wanted to have its own back on Arceus for banishing it” “So you lied to us!” cried Charlie. “No wonder those Pokémon have gone crazy all just to suit yourself!” exclaimed James. “So what of it? All of these are merely by-products if I were to achieve my goal at my price” said Volo indifferently.

 “Still, I am only merely a step away from my goal. As soon as I meet up with Arceus, I’m going to use its powers to wipe out the imperfections of this world and create a brand new one even if it means wiping out everyone living in this world including Pokémon but to do that, then hand me over these plates this instant!” demanded Volo who became consumed with insanity. “No way! We aren’t going to let some madman destroy the world after lying to us!” yelled Dougie. “We’ll be the ones who’ll put an end to your ambitions for the sake of this world!” declared Danny with their Pokémon prepared for battle.  “Humph, suit yourself! I’ll have to take you all out by force!” cried Volo with Giratina in its Altered form have appeared.

 The battle against Volo and Giratina was a fierce one but the boys fought back with everything they had.  Danny and Matt commanded their Roserade and Hisuian Typhlosion to fire their Extrasensory and Inferno Paradise at the Draco Meteors, protecting the other Pokémon for Charlie’s Ursaluna and Harry’s Hisuian Samurott to charge in with their Headlong Rush and Ceaseless Edge.

 Giratina vanishes and reappears, striking them with Shadow Force which takes them by surprise. But James’ Hisuian Decidueye and Gallade boldly strike back with their Leaf Blade and Psyblade. Giratina fired its Aura Spheres at them but Tom’s Gastrodon and Dougie’s  Hisuian Goodra took them out with their Hydro Pump an Draco Meteor. Gardevoir followed up the attack with Lumina Crash.

 Giratina then struck with Earth Power which was heading towards Hisuian Decidueye, Hisuian Typhlosion and Ursaluna but Roserade, Gastrodon, Hisuian Goodra and Hisuian Samurott helped to defend them by intercepting the move (including Gastrodon’s own Earth Power) as ordered by the McFly boys. Giratina then used Shadow Force towards the McFly boys’ Pokémon but the Busted boy’s Pokémon defended them. Their Pokémon then combined their attacks for a powerful hit that seemingly took out Giratina.

 “Alright we did it!” cheered Matt. “That monster of yours is no match for our teamwork combined!” bragged Harry. But Volo wasn’t backing down just yet. “Oh really? That was only merely a taster on what Giratina is capable of...this is where its true power shines!” boasted Volo with Giratina changing into its Origin form, much to the McBusted’s boys disbelief.

 Giratina in its Altered Form was much faster and stronger, using its serpentine body to dodge attacks including Roserade’s Leaf Storm, Hisusian Decidueye’s Sucker Punch, Ursalina’s Headlong Rush, Hisuian Samurott’s Liquidation and Gallade’s Leaf Blade while striking them with Shadow Force. Its Aura Sphere and Earth Power were able to cut through other Pokémon’s attacks including Gastrodon’s Earth Power, Hisuian Typhlosion’s Inferno Paradise and Gardevoir’s Aura Sphere and not even Hisuisan Goodra could withstand them as much. It then fired Draco Meteor which knocked out all but Gallade and Gardevoir who both narrowly avoided it.

 “No!” cried Danny. “You all deserve a good rest” said Charlie as they returned their Pokémon to the Pokeballs given by Adaman and Irida. “Ha! That’s the full power of Giratina; master of Antimatter!” gloated Volo. With Gallade and Gardevoir only remaining, they fought their hardest but were unable to withstand Giratina’s attacks with Gallade tripping over Earth Power and Gardevoir’s Moonblast getting destroyed by Aura Sphere. “No use, save yourselves!” cried Matt fearfully. “We can’t lose here!” yelled Harry. “It’s a pity that you all ended up in the harsh world of Hisui. Giratina, strike them down!” said Volo who ordered Giratina to fire its Draco Meteor at the McBusted boys who all crowded together in fear.

 But Gallade and Gardevoir refused to give up on their Megastones responding to the keystones on the McBusted’s boys guitars. It was their determination to protect their masters that activated their Mega Evolutions. With their newfound extra powers, they defended them from the Draco Meteors using Psyblade and Lumina Crash. “Alright! You both Mega Evolved for us!” cheered Danny. Mega Gallade and Mega Gardevoir proudly looked at them. “Now show us what both of you can do!” said James. "Humph, Mega Evolution is just a cheap tactic that makes weak Pokémon stronger" said Volo who tried to mantain his composure to mask his disbelief. 

 Both Mega Gallade and Mega Gardevoir were faster and stronger with Mega Gallade using Close Combat to take out any incoming projectiles including Draco Meteor and Aura Sphere and Mega Gardevoir’s Hyper Voice becoming a Fairy-type move via her Pixilate, scoring a super effective hit on Giratina who tried to ambush them with Shadow Force. They also dodged its Earth Power for them to sucker punch Giratina using Knock Off and Moonblast.

 “Mega Evolution is so amazing!” said Tom upon watching this. “It’s a good thing we were discussing about Mega Evolution earlier” said Dougie. Giratina attempted to hide and strike once again with Shadow Force but the two Mega Evolutions dodged with their acute senses which gave Mega Gallade a chance to strike with Psyblade. Giratina then fired its Draco Meteors which were intercepted by Mega Gardevoir firing Lumina Crash which hits Giratina, finishing it off.  Having to be weakened, Giratina went back to the portal in its Altered Form.

 “You both were amazing!” cheered Matt as Mega Gallade and Mega Gardevoir reverted back to their base form. “You both have come this far” said Charlie proudly. “No! How could you turn back and ride from these outsiders after I gave you this chance to lure Arceus out of hiding!” yelled Volo who lost all of his composure. He then turned to the McBusted boys and said “I would have got away with it if it weren't for you meddling boy bands! It’s as if all of you have spat out of the space-time rift just to stand in the way of my goals!” “You can’t complain since you wereone who brought us here in the first place!” said Harry. “This world doesn’t need to be remade. It should be reserved for the future generations of the world this is set to become” said James.

 “Humph, you think you’re so smart!” said Volo, surrendering the Spooky Plate to them. “Do what you want, I cannot accept the fact that Arceus may have chosen you all over me. Someday, I will solve each and every one of Hisui’s mysteries and shall conquer Arceus no matter how long it takes!” ranted Volo who left them.

 Chapter 4: Coming Home

 Having to defeat Volo the boys headed back to Jubilife Village left with the Plates as their only option at this point with no clear way home. “Will we ever get back home? We gotta get back to our tour” said Tom worriedly. “Will I ever get to see my wife and kids again?” said Matt with concern.

 They meet up with Adaman and Irida who went over to them. “We thank you all for saving Hisui. Now it’s our turn to repay you” said Adaman gently. “You all said that you came from another world as rock bands? We have found this song that is rumoured to have the power for people to reach out to Arceus. I don’t know if it’s true or not but maybe playing this song could help to summon Arceus” said Irida. The McBusted boys were intrigued to use this opportunity to perform since it’s what they do best after all. “Sure, we’ll give you all the performance of a lifetime” said Danny. “It’ll be like an extra show” said James. "A chance to show you our talent as musicians” said Charlie. “Well I am willing to try by any means to get home” said Harry.

 And so they set up a stage in the middle of Jubilife Village where villagers gathered to experience music from a rock band from another era as they were playing ‘Call to the original one’ where they were fascinated with their style of instruments and vocals. Their voices resonated with the Plates they had collected with the song transcending reality itself. This has caused the sky above them to glow with a huge figure descending towards them. It was The Original One Arceus.

 “We summoned...a God?!” said Dougie with astonishment and he and the others watched in awe with Arceus appearing before them. “You all proved your worth with your strength and bond. For that, I shall return you all to your world where your music can continue to inspire” said Arceus, speaking to them via telepathy and it opened up a portal which is similar to the one that has brought them to Hisui. The McBusted boys thanked Arceus and they waved to the crowd who not only admired their performance but were also grateful for them as heroes. They were allowed to keep the Pokémon that they caught for them to see the modern-day world with the Pokémon willing to stay with them. “We’ll make sure that your legends shall be passed down” said Adaman. “I hope your time will remain peaceful as our legacy will be remembered too” said Irida. “Of course, we will make our people acknowledge your legend” said Dougie as they were sent back to their studio.

 It felt like no time had passed upon their arrival to their own time. “Did that really happen?” asked Harry. “I say so” said Danny as they got out their newly obtained Pokémon from the Hisui region. “And those keystones have certainly been used. I can tell” said Matt as he looked at the keystones. 

“We certainly have gone back in time, just like for one of our songs during the McBusted days” said James. “Been one heck of an adventure with a new song out of it too” said Tom.

 And this is one adventure that they certainly won’t forget having to explore an ancient land, facing powerful Pokémon, overcoming the darkness together and meeting Arceus. On that subject, a huge glowing figure watched over them, knowing that their music would continue to echo through the ages as they inspire hearts.
