McBusted's Pokémon Adventures Part 3 - The Delta Voices of Hoenn

 Here is part three of my fan fiction with  two of my favourite boy bands McFly and Busted as their supergroup McBusted where they continued their tour in the world of Pokemon in the Hoenn region from the Gen 3 Pokemon games though it has references to their remakes Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire. During their tour in Hoenn, they have to help Steven and Wally to stop an asteroid from colliding the Earth with Zinnia taking an interest in them. Enjoy and stay tuned for more.

Chapter 1: Arrival in Hoenn

The sun was high in the sky as the combined forces of McFly and Busted as their supergroup McBusted continued their tour around the world of Pokémon; this time at the Hoenn region. They marvelled at the many landscapes throughout Hoenn including the pristine beaches, the vast oceans, the lush forest and the huge mountains.

 “Hoenn, isn’t that the region with too much water?” asked Dougie slyly. “Does it matter? It’s part of the ecosystem that gives Hoenn life” said Matt jokingly. “You’re the only always trending hot water” added Charlie light-heartedly.

 Their first stop for their Hoenn tour is Mossdeep City. They took a look at the Mossdeep Space City Centre. “Wow! I would like to ride on one of these to get close to space!” said Tom with his fascination with space starting to show. “It reminded me when we blasted Dougie off to space for our Star Girl music video!” laughed Danny. “Still into the wonders of the solar system are we?” said James cheekily. “So, is Future Boy back from space yet?” asked Harry.

 They were also with their two shiny Ralts which they received as eggs from Mewtwo when they were in the Kanto region and were hatched back in Johto. Although both Ralts were shy (as they found themselves hiding from well-meaning but noisy fans), they enjoyed McBusted’s fun banter and admired each other's love and bond. The McBusted boys were checking up on them too as if they were their child. “Are you feeling alright?” asked Danny as soon as they got away from the noisy crowd that startled them. “It’ll be ok” said James softly. That made their Ralts happy and safe.

 There were some funny moments during their shows including one time when James had accidentally overslept and had to make a mad dash before the show started and while Matt dressed as the groom was picking up Dougie as the bride during their Crash the Wedding performance, Harry snatched Dougie from Matt, prompting Matt to kick Harry in the shin, much to the audience’s amusement.

 Their Ralts were listening to their music backstage. They weren’t confident to join their shows but the McBusted boys kindly didn’t force them to join.  They were admiring the sound of their talented vocals that mashed together as a supergroup. They hope to one day gain the courage to join their shows.

 Along the way, the McBusted have caught and raised many new Pokémon including Milotic for Danny, Blaziken for Tom, Salamence for James, Metagross for Charlie, Sceptile for Dougie, Swampert for Matt and Absol for Harry. Danny has evolved his Milotic after giving it Pokeblocks although he has tried some himself which tasted dry. “Are you sure you’re meant to eat them?” questioned Harry. “Why not? Bet it’ll make me even more beautiful” joked Danny. “I wonder who is more beautiful? Danny Jones or a Milotic?” said Dougie.

 James and Tom has tried to catch a Whismur at Rusturf Tunnel. “Shhh, better be quiet” said James to Tom as they were about to toss their Pokeball at it. However, they missed and the sound of the Pokeball disturbs Whismur. This caused a group of them to appear and use Uproar which created a loud, ear shattering noise. “It’s loud and clear above the noise!” yelled Tom as they both ran away from the noise.

 They also visited Granite Cave and found an ancient mural with many drawings of legendary Pokémon and lyrics for a song about Mega Raqyuaza saving the region. “This looks interesting. We should try covering it ourselves” said Charlie who was intrigued by it. “Yeah, I bet it’ll help to spread awareness of the legend” said Matt.

 Little that they know that there was someone at their tour who was secretly watching them, someone who had taken an interest in them for something that they were about to get involved in.

  Chapter 2: A Meteorite shuffle

 As the McBusted boys were touring, they encountered a man named Steven Stone. “Well if it isn’t you McFly and Busted Guys? I am Steven; champion of the Hoenn region” greeted Steven. “Please to meet you Champion” said Charlie. “Have you come to watch our show?” asked Matt. “I have been watching you all and your performances are as spectacular as they come!” said Steven. “You have good taste for a champion” said Harry.

 Steven’s cool expression has then become more serious. “However, I have come here to tell you that you are all in grave danger; we have reports of an asteroid heading our way, threatening to destroy our world” said Steven. This has astonished yet unnerved to hear this. “Boy, I never thought our tour would end up us being crushed by an asteroid” said Dougie nervously. “Please let us help. We have Pokémon on our side along with our teamwork” said Tom. “Of course which is precisely why I went over to you all!” said Steven smiling. The McBusted boys were grateful for that.

 Steven has introduced them to a young trainer with green hair named Wally, saying that he’ll also be helping out. “It’s nice to meet you McBusted. I have been watching your shows” said Wally who was nervous but happy to meet them in person. “It’s nice to meet you Wally” said Danny with his warm voice that made him feel welcome. “I may not be the strongest trainer but I want to help out. I’ll do my best” said Wally. “Having the courage to help is true strength” said James encouragingly. Unknown to them, they were overheard by a woman watching them.

 They both split into two groups; McFly and Busted to find the Meteorite Shards. The McFly boys were with Wally at the Meteor Falls, helping him to fight Team Magma who were after the Meteorite Shard.

 “I understand that the world is in danger but we cannot allow you all to obtain the Meteorite Shard” said Team Magma Leader Archie who sets his grunts to fight with their Mightyenas, Golbats and Numels. “Not without a fight!” declared Harry.

 Wally was having trouble facing so many grunts but the McFly boys helped them out. “Milotic! Use Hypnosis!” called Danny as his Milotic lured the Mightyenas into a sleeping spell. It then fired Scald at the Numels. “Looks like they are bewitched by your beauty” said Dougie teasing Danny. Danny blushed and said “Well you can thank my Milotic for that.”

 The Mightyenas and Golbats were fast but Tom’s Blaziken was faster with the help of its ability Speed Boost, using the extra speed to dodge their attacks and take them down hard using Flare Blitz. “Bet I can outrun it on a marathon” said Harry which was his way of thanking Tom for helping him. “I like to see you try” said Tom mockingly.

 Although Dougie’s Sceptile had a type disadvantage against the Numels, it dodged their Flamethrower with its superior speed as commanded by Dougie. “And now, take the battle by storm using Leaf Storm!” said Dougie and his Scpetile fired a barrage of leaves at the Numels. “You have to go for that pun didn’t you?” said Tom drily.

 Just as the Golbats were about to attack, Harry’s Absol attacked first with its Sucker Punch. “You’ve been Harried!” gloated Harry. He then added “They say that Absol predict disasters and I bet it predicts Danny tripping over while singing Red.” “I predict that you will drop your drumsticks during our show!” said Danny countering him.

 Their Ralts tried to help out but it wasn’t as strong, only knowing a few weaker moves including Disarming Voice and Psybeam but most of the Team Magama grunt’s Pokémon were able to dodge them with ease. It did help to protect the McFly boys including firing its Psybeam at the falling rocks towards McFly. “Thanks Ralts but don’t force yourself” said Tom gently.

 It was protected by Wally who backed them up in return, using his Gallade to fight the Team Magama grunt’s Pokémon using moves including Close Combat and Psycho Cut. “Thanks there, your Pokémon has been a help!” said Harry. “Our Ralts seem to take an interest too” said Dougie as their Ralts was looking at Gallade with admiration. “Thanks, I’ve been working hard training my Gallade which is one of the final evolutions of Ralts. Amazing that you got a shiny one” said Wally. “It was hatched from an egg that we got back in Kanto” explained Tom, much to Wally astonishment.

 They also fought Archie who used Camerupt, Mega Evolving it. Wally decided to even up the score by Mega Evolving his Gallade. This has surprised the McFly boys and Ralts. “Woah! Those Pokémon have changed!” exclaimed Danny. “This is Mega Evolution which is a special type of evolution which can only be possible by the bond of your Pokémon” explained Wally as his Mega Gallade dodged Mega Camerupt’s Earth Power and hit hard with Psycho Cut. “Imagine if our Ralts become Gallade and Mega Evolve!” said Dougie excitedly. Ralts seemed to be intrigued with the idea. Wally’s Mega Gallade was about to get attacked by Mega Camerupt’s Fire Blast but the combined forces of the McFly boy’s Pokémon took out Mega Camerupt. Having to be defeated, Archie has surrendered the Meteorite Shard to the McFly boys. “You did a great job there” said Danny praising Wally. “Thanks, I will get stronger for you all” replied Wally.

 Meanwhile, the Busted boys were with Steven at the Meteor Falls, fighting Team Aqua for the Meteorite Shard. “We need the Meteorite Shard and will get it at any cost!” said Team Aqua Leader Maxie. “Oh yeah? You have to go through us!” said Matt as they fought The Team Aqua Grunt’s Pokémon.

 “Salamence! Fire your Draco Meteors!” called James with his Salamence bombarding the Mighyenas with its Draco Meteors. “Are you sure it’s wise to use that move with an actual meteorite heading towards Hoenn?” asked Charlie. “Um, we’ll call it irony” said James blushing.

 “Swampert! Use Stealth Rocks!” said Matt as his Swampert set Rock Traps on the Carvanhas. “So we’re playing dirty are we?” said James as he witnessed the Carvanhas getting hit by the Stealth Rocks. “I call it strategy Mate” replied Matt slyly, enjoying their banter.

 “Metagross! Use Meteor Mash!” called Charlie and his Metagross pounded the Golbats with a metallic punch. “Men, those bats were annoying with their Confuse Ray” ranted Charlie. “Cheer up Charlie! Your Metagross has a type advantage!” said James. Charlie couldn’t help but to admire James’ zany sense of humour.

 Their Ralts wanted to help out. It noticed that the Busted boys were about to fall off towards the pool after accidentally being hit by one of the Golbat’s Air Cutter that was fired on the ground as they were helping Steven’s shiny Metagross. It saved them from falling into the water using its telekinesis. “Wow that was close! Thanks there!” called Matt. It tried to fight with them but it was easily overpowered by the Team Aqua Grunt’s Pokémon due to its inexperience. “I’ll take care of it” said Steven using his Metagross to deal with them. “You did your best there” said Charlie gently.

 They then have to deal with Maxie’s Sharpedo which Mega Evolved. Steven Mega Evolve his Metagross to make things even. “Woah, what’s with the transformations?” asked James. “This is Mega Evolution, a phenomenon that is beyond Evolution” explained Steven, demonstrating by ramming down Mega Sharpedo using Giga Impact. “Amazing! I wonder if Ralts is capable of Mega Evolving?” asked Charlie. Ralts seemed to be intrigued with the idea. In the meantime, they helped to finish off Mega Sharpedo with their Pokémon combining their strength. They then obtained the Meteorite Shard afterwards.

 Both teams reunite at Mossdeep Space Center. “Thanks to your help, we used the Meteorite Shards to create the Dimensional Shifter that’ll divert the asteroid into another dimension that’ll save our world” said Steven after he was given the Dimensional Shifter. “Great, it won’t be the end of the world after all, not like that song of ours” said Dougie. “That’ll be a relief. We can get back on tour” said Charlie. “Did he say that it’ll wrap the asteroid into another dimension?” asked James to himself.

 Suddenly, a Whismur named Aster appeared and snatched the Dimensional Shifter from Steven. “Hey, is that...” said Tom but before he could finish his sentence, a mysterious woman with long flowing hair and a dragon-like cloaked appeared. “Greetings, I’m Zinnia; the Lore Keeper and I believe this is something of my interest” said the woman. “What do you mean and what do you intend to do with this?” asked Steven cautiously. “You think that the Dimensional Shifter is your best chance to save your world?” asked Zinnia. “Well what are you implying?” asked Harry.

 “Well how about this? By sending it to another dimension, you could endanger another world that exists much like ours but without Mega Evolution or the technology to build the ultimate weapon. That’s why I was the one who told Team Magman and Team Aqua to stop you all getting those Meteorite Shard by telling them that it’ll help them to summon the Legendary Pokémon that they desried” said Zinnia. “An idea of parallel worlds is fascinating” said Tom with interest. “ I cannot bear the thought of dooming that world because of your selfish plans” said Zinnia, crushing the Dimensional Shifter.

 “Oh no! Now we’re doomed!” cried Matt. “You do know that was our only hope?” said Steven sternly. “Relax, we have something else to save the world without the expense of other worlds right in front of you” said Zinnia who was looking at the McBusted boys, much to their puzzlement. “That’s right, all of you! I’ve seen your show, singing that very song that only Draconid people know which is said to summon Rayquaza, the Legendary Pokémon of the skies. Your voices have the power to summon it, saving our world!” said Zinnia. This has astonished the McBusted boys. “Really? I never thought our singing would be used to save the world!” said Danny with his eyes wide open. “Well, looks like we’ll be the real heroes” said James. So they followed Zinnia to the Sky Pillar to sing a performance that’ll make the difference.

 Chapter 3: Summoning Rayquaza

 The McBusted boys have made it to the top of The Sky Pillar which reached high above the clouds. “I never thought our tour would involve us being high in the sky” said Matt. “I almost fell off the stairs, just like I thought I would back at the London Eye!” said Danny.

 Zinnia has shown the McBusted a meteorite. “This meteorite is said to have the power to Mega Evolve Rayquaza yet its power has weakened over time. That’s why the Draconid people have preserved the song in case the asteroid impact happens again but it can only be activated by people with special voices and like I said, you all have shown to sing that song flawlessly!” explained Zinnia. “It’s a good thing we found it!” said Tom. “So what you say we’ll save the world right away?” said Harry. “Not so fast! As my duty of the Lore Keeper, I like you all to pass my trial to prove your worth! Challenge me to a battle with me only using my Salamence!” said Zinnia, bringing out its Pokeball. “Wait! At a time like this?!” said Charlie questioning her priorities. “And wouldn’t it unfair to have all of us against one?!” said James. “Relax, there’s more than enough time but should the asteroid come any closer, then I’ll call off the battle. And I’ll show you that I am not to be trifle with!” said Zinnia eagerly.

 Zinnia was right that she was no pushover even being outnumbered as her Salamence that she Mega Evolved was giving the McBusted’s boys trouble with its superior speed that out run their Pokémon including Dougie’s Sceptile and Harry’s Absol, high offences as shown when it hit Danny’s Milotic’s hard even after it healed itself with Recover and Matt’s Swampert when it tried to stop its tracks using Liquidation and handling hits from Tom’s Blaziken and Charlie’s Metagross. And James’ Salamence was having trouble keeping up with it.

 “This is not looking good” said Tom with concern. “We can’t beat her!” said Charlie grimy. But all was not lost with their Ralts using their telepathic powers that showed the McBusted Boys the direction of Mega Salamence’s movements as it was using Outrage. “Woah! I can see their vision!” said Danny with surprise. “Might as well use it for our advantage!” said James as they told their Pokémon where to attack Mega Salamence while it wasn’t looking, allowing them to ambush it, slowing down its movements.

Impressed, this was the moment when Zinnia has seen their worth and has decided to call off the battle, making them the victors. “Well then, you have all passed my trial” said Zinnia who recalled her Salamence. “Alright! We’re the best!” cheered Harry. They all thanked their Ralts for the help. “And now, show me that performance of yours! Prove that you are worthy to sing the song passed down by the Draconid!” said Zinnia encouragingly. “With pleasure” said Matt. “And now to save the world” said Dougie.  “Alright boys, let’s do what we always do best” said Danny, taking a deep breath before their very important performance.

 The song known as Delta Winds is a mythical song that describes Rayquaza’s strength and valor saving the world long ago with their boys giving it their all singing its powerful lyrics and hitting the hard notes with their instruments. During their performance, the meteorite was giving our energy equivalent to Mega Evolution which is what is needed to Mega Evolve Rayquaza as Zinnia predicted. It wasn’t long until the very legendary Pokémon ascended from the skies and instantly Mega Evolved upon making contact with the energy from the meteorite.

 Everyone rejoiced with the performance being a success. "We did it!" Dougie cheered with his excitement barely contained. “That was more than a blast!” applauded James. “Please Rayquaza, the fate of our world is in your hands” pleaded Zinnia with Mega Rayquaza rising towards space. The two Ralts were using their astral projection to show the McBusted boys a vision of Mega Rayquaza shattering the asteroid and battling the mythical Pokémon Deoxys who came out of the meteoroid. 

Deoxys had powerful Psychic type moves including Psycho Boost but Mega Rayquaza is shown to the strong, doding its attacks with its Speed and hitting hard back once it got close to it using Dragon Claw. Deoxys countered it by using ranged attacks to keep Mega Rayquaza away from it including Hyper Beam that was fired directly at Mega Rayquaza. Deoxys also uses the orbs from Psyshock to block Mega Rayquaza's attacks. But for the sake of the people in Hoenn, Mega Rayquaza refused to give up, using Extreme Speed to provide it the extra speed to strike Deoxys (including when it was recharging after using Hyper Beam) and to dodge Psyshock. The boys were amazed to see a Pokémon battle in space. 

“I always wanted to see space but never thought I would get to see a Pokémon battle!” said Tom excitedly. “Certainly didn’t expect this for our tour!” said Matt marvelling throughout. “And we didn’t even need a rocket!” said Harry.  Eventually, Mega Rayquaza was victorious, delivering the final blow using Dragon Ascent and Deoxys went away.

Chapter 4: The calm after the storm 

 Having succeeded in their mission, the McBusted boys proceeded with the last few tours in Hoenn where they were recognised as heroes and their Delta Wings cover was a hit (although there was one time when Danny's predictions came true and Harry dropped his drumsticks). On the last day in Hoenn, they were with Wally and Steven who thanked them for helping them and received a letter from Aster which was written by Zinnia who wished them farewell.

 “Looks like we’ll be saving the world one song at a time” said Dougie. “It sure took an unexpected turn but we are glad to help out while meeting Rayquaza” said Charlie. “You are all welcome back anytime” said Steven. Wally has given the McFly boys a Dawn Stone. “I’ve checked my Pokedex and your Ralts is a male which makes it possible for your Ralts to evolve into Gallade when it evolves into Kirlia so you can have this spare Dawn Stone which is needed to evolve Ralts” said Wally. “Thanks, we’ll keep hold of it” thanked Danny. He also used his Pokedex to check the gender for the other Ralts which is a female “Regardless, our Ralts is awesome” said James.

 And so The McBusted boys have departed Hoenn with this adventure that they certainly won’t forget having to save the world. And somewhere within the ozone layer, Rayquaza watched over them and admired them for having the voices and heart for it to drawn to them.
