To celebrate Pride month as an LGBTQ+ Mcfly and Busted fan, I've come up with a story where the McBusted boys attended a Pride event, celebrating the day when LGBTQ+ communities get together to celebrate how far they have come with equal rights and becoming heroes, saving Pride. It'll guest star my original character Dominic (be sure to read his debut story here), other original characters, LGBTQ+ actor Alex Mecum and some of my favourite LGBTQ+ Youtubers and social media influencers including PK Creedon, Andrew Garfield, Sam Cushing and Garret Watts. Enjoy and remember that you are loved for who you are and who you love and always keep on fighting for your rights.
McBusted; The
heroes of Pride
It was Pride Month and two boy bands McFly and Busted in their supergroup McBusted were invited by their friend Dominic for a Pride event hosted by LGBTQ+ actor Alex Mecum. They are set to perform a Pride-based song that they made with Dominic ‘Over the Rainbow’ with the proceeds going to LGBTQ+ charities, making it their first Pride event together. “It’ll be a great chance to see our fans that are inclusive,” said Tom. “I believe that it’ll help to understand our polyamory more” said James as each of the boys were linking each other closely.
As they arrived, the sun shone with the streets alive with colour that matched the rainbow and the atmosphere was buzzing with joys and celebration from communities, allies and families alike. The McBusted boys have met up with Dominic who is proudly wearing a rainbow tank top, biker shorts and cape. “Oh wow, Dominic! You look so fabulous!” cheered Danny who was captivated by Dominic’s Pride Outfit as if it was love at first sight. “Thanks, I just gotta dress up for the occasion where I get to be myself” said Dominic who was smitten by Danny’s complement as if he was being hit on.
“We thank you for inviting us Dominic” said Matt. “It’s my pleasure. I’m glad for you all to be part of Pride which is more than just a party or a protest; it’s about showing how far we have come as a vibrant community and standing up for who we are for anyone who struggles to be themselves and celebrating love in all forms” said Dominic. “And we wouldn’t miss it for the world,” said Dougie. The McBusted boys are looking forward to being part of a lively celebration that’ll give them a chance to learn and grow while letting their LGBTQ+ friends and fans know that they stand with them.
Dominic introduced them to the host, Alex Mecum, who is with two black drag performers. One of them is a Drag Queen named Monarch (real name Bronco), whose outfit resembles a Monarch Butterfly with a cape that resembles butterfly wings. The other is a Drag King named Firefly (real name Britney), who is dressed like a male firefly with glittery wings.
“So you’re the supergroup who will be performing with us? I’ve heard about you all and I look forward to seeing it” said Alex as he was shaking hands with the McBusted boys. “It’s nice to meet you, Alex. We’re thrilled to be part of this” replied Charlie. “Aren’t you all a fabulous bunch?” said Monarch, flirting with the McBusted boys which caused them to blush. “Now now, this is not the time to hit on them” said Firefly who prodded Monarch on the elbow, much to everyone’s amusement.
“Wow, your outfits are fascinating!” said Harry as he was analysing the drag duo’s outfits. “You have a good eye there Hun” said Monarch. “Thanks, my outfit and stage name are based on how male fireflies attract females with their bioluminescence and I’m sure that my dazzling performance will help to captivate my fans as a trans-Pansexual performer” explained Firefly. “It’s true with actual fireflies. Thanks for the science lesson” said Dougie. “Guess I might as well explain my drag persona. Butterflies emerge from their cocoons which reminds me of coming out as a trans-bisexual performer” said Monarch. “This makes you beautiful as butterflies” said Danny who is fascinated with the metaphor.
However, not everyone was as welcome. Nearby, there was a snobby, high-class couple named Karen and Kev who had the inability to accept LGBTQ+ lifestyles, looking down on anyone who was different, deeming them inferior to them. This is shown when they were confronted with four social media content creators including Garret Watts, PK Creedon with his husband Mike, Andrew Neighbors and Sam Cushing.
Kev was tossing rocks at Garret who is providing commentary for his vlog and PK who is with his husband Mike while Karen was making hateful, homophobic remarks to Andrew and Sam who happened to attend Pride together.
“Hi, I am Garret Watts and I am here to celebrate Pride with all the joys and festivity...hey watch it! You almost broke my camera?!” cried Garret Watts. “What’s the big idea?! You could have hurt Mike here!” exclaimed PK Creedon as he defended his husband. “Ugh, I just can’t stand you gays for plaguing our world! You’ll be condemned to hell unless you change your ways and become just like the rest of us!” said Kev mockingly. “There’s no way I’ll change who I am with my love for Mike!” cried PK. “You’re not the one to dictate who I am!” declared Garret. “Oh yeah? How about you’ll like a taste of my fists?” said Kev, threatening to beat them up which made them feel intimidated.
“Why is it that you gays have to force your lifestyle down our throats? As a Christian, love should only be a man and woman, there are only two genders and people should only be the gender that they're born with and Pride is the most deadly sin so you’re corrupting our kids!” said Karen (despite having no kids of her own). “Please, we are not trying to force anyone to follow our lifestyles. We only want to be ourselves, living equally as others” said Sam Cushing who tried to stand up for himself but being confronted by a bigot was making him anxious. Andrew Neighbors stood up for Sam by being more assertive and said “But isn’t Pride about making everyone feel welcome for who they are which could be celebrated?” “Don’t you talk back to me with your gay voices! You both should get back in the closet!” retorted Karen. This made them both feel less welcome.
Dominic and the others overheard the commotion and they all rushed over to stand up for them. “That’s enough! I won’t tolerate any more hate or violence!” yelled Alex. “And who are you to stop our freedom of speech?” cried Kev. “We just happened to disagree with your immoral lifestyle,” said Karen. Knowing what it’s like to receive hate for his sexuality, Dominic said in a tranquil fury voice “You have no right to silence us and stop us from being who we are or who we love”.
As allies, the McBusted boys did their bit to stand up to them. “We won’t allow you both to make others feel bad for who they are!” said Tom. “You do realize you came to a pride event to be mad at people being proud, right? That’s like going to a pool and complaining about water” said James using his quick wit while making a point. “That’s just who we are and we can’t help ourselves if it's our opinion!” cried Karen, making herself the victim.
“You both need a hobby. Like how about, listening to good music instead of spreading hate?!” said Danny. “Ewww, aren’t you from this cheesy super group McBusted? I prefer Mcflurries and you all need to be manlier like me!” said Kev contemptuously. “If you don’t like our songs, then we don’t care!” yelled Dougie. “I feel bad for you both, hating and attacking others while having no love for others and without asking questions” said Matt with disdain.
“I say it’s time for you both to have a time out!” said Monarch as Alex summoned the security guards to escort them away. “Ewww! You freaks should stay out of my sight!” yelled Karen as she and Kev were restrained by the security guards. “And you both have no place in our world!” said Harry as he called out to them mockingly. “Yeah, take your negativity and bigotry elsewhere!” added Charlie.
They then went over the vloggers with Firefly asking them “Are you all alright?” “We’re sorry for the way you all have been treated,” said Danny. They were grateful for their help with Mike saying “We couldn’t be thankful enough. They weren’t making us welcome here.” The Vloggers then recognise them with Garret who is struck with excitement saying “Yeah thanks... wait...are you booth The Sentential Drag Duo Monarch and Firefly...and oh my God! Are they the world famous’ super group McBusted?! I must be dreaming!” “That’s us alright and believe me, we’re the real deal” said James.
“My my, aren’t I flattered to meet a fan” said Monarch. Garret was star stuck to have them defending him and talking to him.
“Oh my! Are you the one who sang that hit song ‘Over the Rainbow?’ Mike and I couldn’t stop singing and dancing to it for weeks!” said PK. Dominic was flattered to hear that they were a fan of his song.
“My my, I didn’t expect to see Alex with some huge stars, let alone be our shining knight in armour,” said Andrew which made Alex smile at the compliment saying “Oh please, I only did what we need to do as a community”.“So they’re McFly and Busted in their supergroup McBusted? I’ve been hearing all about you guys.” said Sam. “Well, it looks like we have a huge party!” said Tom. “You can have our autograph,” said Dougie jokingly.
Dominic was astonished to see some of his favourite Youtubers and the fact that they know McBusted and The Drag Duo, something that he only just comprehended while being caught up in the moment.
With a couple of hours before the event, they all decided to get to know each other more with the McBusted boys using this opportunity to learn more about LGBTQ+ communities by asking all kinds of questions about what they have experienced, the good and the bad which also helped to put the incident behind us.
“Being gay doesn’t define me but nevertheless, it has been essential in defining who I’ve become as a person and I couldn’t be more proud of that, along with living in this day and age where people dedicate and celebrate their lives for the sake of those who fight and died for us including Alan Turning. Not even these two can stop us” answered Garret Watts. “Oh Alan Turning, the guy who developed modern computers and helped to crack a Nazi code during World War II? I never would have guessed” said Harry with fascination. “And that’s your history lesson for today!” said Garret jokingly.
“I have a lot of stories to tell including all the hot guys that I found attractive throughout the years which helped me to discover my sexuality and the kind of guys who I’ve dated such as cops and jocks but to spare me from going all day, you can check them out on my Youtube channel. Oh and I’m a doctor who specialises in optometrists and happened to be gay” said Andrew. “You can call me anytime but hey, it’s good that we have gay doctors as long as they do their job” said Matt. “Thanks, you have the right idea here as it’s good to have diversity in a workplace, something that those two need to understand and accept” said Andrew smiling.
“Being gay isn’t always sunshine and rainbows. You get a lot of persecution from those who don’t agree with your lifestyle. You have countries that have laws that make you unsafe just because of who you love and those who use their religion as an excuse to judge you as you have seen before but luckily, I have a Catholic Father who loves me for who I am” said PK with honesty. “Yeah, I’ve been hearing news and stories about that which is sad but it’s good to hear that you have a supportive family” said Dougie sincerely. “Thanks and if it weren’t for that, then I wouldn’t be here with my lovely husband Mike” said PK, cuddling to him. The others were happy for them.
“I have a Mom who supports me too but I have been made fun of with my voice, saying that it sounds gay; something that I can’t help with as I was born with it, just like with my sexuality. As if I don’t get enough judgment for that already” said Sam. “I’m sorry to hear. We shouldn’t judge people for what they sound like but for their character. As a musician, I say that anyone should use their voice to sing no matter what they sound like” said Danny. “Thanks though I rather stick with my piano” said Sam blushing. “Ooo, you play the piano? I like to hear it sometime” said Danny with fascination which flattered Sam.
“I didn’t have it easy coming out. I was raised in a conservative Mormon environment with a conflicting lifestyle and teaching, saying that I would go to hell for being gay along with those gossiping about my sexuality which made me hate myself for who I am” said Alex sombrely. “That sounds hard for you. I may not be religious but people should use religion to welcome other people who are different and I’m sure that it’s something that God would have wanted” said Charlie with sympathy. “I agree, it’s how it should be but in the light of it, I have my family who accepted me for who I am. It took longer for my Mother to accept me but she was able to come to terms with it” said Alex.
“We discovered our love for drag and the fact that we’re transgender when Firefly and I wore clothing of our opposite gender during our childhood,” said Monarch. “But unfortunately, our parents didn’t accept us so we got kicked out. We became homeless until we were lucky enough to be brought in by a charity group who helped us with our transiting” said Firefly. “We still don’t have it easy with people looking down upon us for being black, transgender drag performers with those who claim that our jobs corrupt their kids and threaten to kill us” said Monarch.
The others felt sorry for their difficult past and the discrimination they faced. “I know how it feels to be seen as an outcast. That’s why I couldn’t let that stand by” said Dominic with sympathy. “It’s awful for people to hate you just for doing your job,” said Tom with some sorrow in his voice. “We can assure you that it’s not stopping us from shining on stage,” said Firefly. “Yeah, people need more glitter and less bitter as we shine brightly for who we are!” said Monarch brightly. “That’s the spirit! Everyone should feel welcome on stage!” said James encouragingly. “Which is what Pride is all about,” said Alex. Everyone agreed with that.
“And we McBusted boys are happy to say that we’re closer together with us being comfortable with our love for each other” said Danny as they were closely linked to each other them holding hands. The others were happy with their polyamory.
“Did I ever tell you that I have become a fan of your music?” asked Garret with excitement. “I say you are all such handsome men...second to Mike of course though he is a fan of you all too,” said PK who was blushing bashfully “You all make such fine gentlemen” said Andrew keeping his cool yet he couldn’t help but to find them all attractive. “Yeah, especially since you all made us feel safer here,” said Sam looking at them directly. “It’s good to get to know handsome guys who have the talent and the heart,” said Alex. The McBusted boys were blushing at their compliment. “Why thanks, you all have good taste, putting you all in my good books,” said Dougie. “I agree that having the talent and personality are good qualities to have for a guy,” said Charlie trying to sound modest.
Dominic watched as his favourite creators and idols all interacted, getting to know and opening up with each other which gave him a deep sense of warmth in his chest while taking it all in with the fact that the people who had inspired him to be himself where all standing before him like his whole universe coming together (even if they have to meet them in a less favourable situation but at least it helped to bring them all together just as communities should).
Alex then escorted them to the merchandise marquees, kindly offering them to pick anything they wanted from the stalls. “It’ll be like a treat and a reward,” said Alex. “Pick anything you like,” said Firefly encouragingly. “But make sure you save some cash Dears” teased Monarch. Garret picked some glitter fuel tanks (he has a habit of collecting some weird novelties) while The McFly boys treated themselves with Pride cupcakes.
They were then set to make their separate ways as they made their preparations with Dominic joining his group who are part of the pride march, McBusted heading towards the stage for some last-minute sound testing before watching the march (with Danny saying to Dominic that he is looking forward to see him in the parade), The Drag Duo on their way to the dressing room, Alex getting ready to host the main event and the vloggers were all set to watch the march, feeling safe.
As the vloggers were making their way, they overheard some voices from the alleyway. They discreetly peep through the wall and spot the homophobic couple, talking among themselves (with Mike recording the conversation with his phone). “Ugh, it makes me sick to my stomach to have those boy bands and faggots sticking up to us!” ranted Kev. “Yeah, who do they think they are attacking us like that?!” replied Karen. “I like to get my back on those faggots if it’s the last thing I do!” said Kev. “I agree, we should stop their parade,” said Karen as they both shared their plan with a devilish smirk on their faces.
Their plan involves Kev holding a flamethrower towards the parade and Karen firing fireworks, aiming them towards the people in the parade and the crowd. Kev normally uses his flamethrower for land management including clearing crops and overgrowth and Karen sells fireworks which is how they can use these fire hazard equipment.
“I like that idea. It’ll be like a hellfire that’ll burn them straight to hell!” said Kev deviously. “I can’t wait to see all the bonfire,” said Karen wickedly. “Yeah, it’ll put those faggots into their place!” cheered Kev. “And it’ll teach these brats a lesson for messing with us!” laughed Karen.
Having to overhear the plan, Garret, PK, Andrew and Sam couldn’t allow this which would not only ruin the Pride event but it’ll endanger everyone’s lives. They weren’t brave enough to directly confront them (but even then, it would be risky) so they went over to the McBusted boys for help while Mike planned to report this to the police. “Be safe Mike” said PK who is naturally worried about his husband. “I will return to you PK” said Mike as they exchanged a quick kiss.
Garret, PK, Andrew and Sam have found the McBusted boys who were just making their way towards the march after they were done with their sound check and instantly noticed their concerns with Harry asking “Hey guys, what’s up?” “Those two homophobic jerks, they are planning to burn the march” said PK fearfully as they told them what Kev and Karen were planning. The McBusted boys were shocked to hear. “That’s awful! We can’t let those two sabotage Pride which could endanger innocent lives!” said Danny who is worried about Dominic’s safety. “I say we should stop them for the sake of everyone celebrating Pride!” declared Matt. “Yeah, we couldn’t ask for better allies!” cheered Garret. “Time to kick homophobia in the teeth!” said Charlie and they all wasted no time to spring into action. Monarch and Firefly have overheard the conversation and decided to follow them to back them up.
Meanwhile, Dominic is with his LGBTQ+ Community Club group known as Rainbow Rally who were set to take part in the march. The group consists of a diverse community with different sexualities and genders. Even though he is excited for his idols to be watching him, Dominic couldn’t help but feel nervous deep down with this being the first time he took part in a Pride march. The confrontation with Kev and Karen didn’t help with his nerves even though he has stood up to them. Dominic also paused with horror as if he was foreseeing a horrific event (a vague image of Kev and Karen harming all those who attended Pride).
His friends noticed his anxiety with Kaede whose ethnicity is black and is a lesbian being the first to go over him. “What’s wrong Dominic? You look like you’ve seen a ghost” asked Kaede brightly yet sincerely. “Oh um...just nervous being out here in the crowd” replied Dominic with honestly. His other friend Marcel who has an athletic build and is bisexual playfully prodded him in the arm and said “Come on, didn’t you say your band friends are watching over you? Maybe imagining them in their underwear will help.” That made Dominic blush though he appreciated Marcel humouring him nevertheless.
Two other friends Ivy and Ritchie who are transgender went towards him with Ivy saying “It’s ok to be nervous. Just remember that we’re here to show how far we have come as a vibrant community, celebrating who we are.” “Keep close to us and you’ll be safe. Remember that you helped to raise our funds with your Over the Rainbow song by McBusted which makes you a valuable member of our Rainbow Rally” said Ritchie. “Yeah and there are people who will be cheering for us just like with my lovely girlfriend Ciel” said Kaede. “And those idols of yours like I said, fully clothed or in their underwear” said Marcel teasing him. “I think that joke is getting stale like bread,” said Ivy. “Hey who asked you?” cried Marcel.
Their reassurance and banter have helped Dominic to feel at ease although he hasn’t told them what he may have foreseen due to the fact that he’s part of a special kind of race that he’s keeping a secret, for now. “Anyway, it won’t be long until we get to be part of the celebration so you gotta get out there and get lively!” said Kaede who is bright and energetic. “But remember to keep up with the parade in single file,” said Ritchie. Dominic followed them, still feeling a bit nervous though a part of him sensed that what he may have seen in the future could be adverted which has given him some hope.
They split into two groups with PK and Garret teaming up with Busted and Andrew and Sam joining McFly. “They’re going to get busted for this!” said PK. “That is one way to put it” said James who appreciated the humorous yet fitting use of their band’s name as the pun. They have found Kev on the bridge, setting up his flamethrower. “It’s sad how close-minded individuals like to burn bridges,” said Matt. “Tell me men, it’s so unfabulous” said PK agreeing with him.
The Busted boys said that they’ll distract Kev while Garret and PK sabotage his flamethrower. “That all sounds great but what should we do to distract that guy? I doubt that he would appreciate our singing?” asked Charlie. “Leave it to me” said James who played a YouTube video of a cat meowing at high volume. Kev heard the noise and said “What? Go away you stupid cat!” cried Kev who looked around and tried to find the cat.
This gives Garret and PK a chance to get to the flamethrower while the Busted trio is hiding behind the bins while the cat video is playing with James holding his phone to lure Kev away. Matt and Charlie played the same cat videos to help him out. “What do you want and where are you? You better not bug me or I’ll smash you!” yelled Kev. “Boy, not only he’s a bigot but it sounds like he’s cruel to animals too” whispered Matt. “Yeah, he has some serious issues,” said Charlie.
Meanwhile, PK was working on loosening the fuel tanks (with PK saying “It’s a good thing I have nimble fingers”) while Garret got out some similar coloured fuel tanks from his backpack. “What you got there Garret?” asked PK. “I brought some glitter tanks that were on sale but hey, at least I’ll make good use of them” answered Garret. “You got the right idea there. He needs to spread more glitter!” said PK just as he loosened the fuel tank attachments.
Just as they attached the glitter fuel tanks, Kev happened to turn around and spotted them, catching them in the act. “Hey what the hell do you think you’re doing?!” yelled Kev with Garret and PK freezing in horror. The Busted boys spotted this and leapt in front of Garret and PK to protect them. “You punks again?!” cried Kev. “If you want a piece of them, then you’ll have to get through us!” said Matt bravely.
“I have a better way to teach you punks a lesson!” said Kev who shoved them out of the way and grabbed the flamethrower. The Busted boys held each other tightly. “You all shall burn in hell!” said Kev who pressed his flamethrower which sprayed some glitter towards them. The boys laughed at him with James saying “Now that’s a colourful flamethrower!” “I say that is a bright idea for Pride!” said PK. Kev was in disbelief and Monarch arrived on the scene.
“I agree. How about you make use of it for Pride?” asked Monarch mocking Kev. “It’s true that you planned to burn all those attending the Pride march?!” demanded Charlie. “So what of it? You aliens deserve to burn into flames! I can’t stand woke people wanting to have more rights than us! If you acted more normal and less gay while stopping spreading your filth on TV or products, then people wouldn’t have an issue with you faggots!...” ranted Kev. In response, Monarch knocked him out with a punch in the face. “It’s you who should stay quiet Hun.” “Wow, I never thought you would pack a punch,” said Garret with astonishment. “I’ll call it Drag Queen punch,” said Matt.
Meanwhile, The McFly boys, Andrew and Sam have spotted Karen with a large collection of fireworks. “Jeez, to think that someone would use them to hurt others. Fireworks are dangerous” said Andrew with a frown on his face. “I don’t mind watching a Firework show but those who use them irresponsibly are better off not having them” said Sam warily. “Yeah, using violence against people who are different is just plain wrong,” said Danny with disgust.
Tom spotted some Seagulls nearby and had an idea to distract her. “We still have some leftover Pride cupcakes left. We could use them to feed them to the seagull right next to her” said Tom. “Yeah, that’ll give us some time to steal her fireworks,” said Andrew. So the McFly boys hid behind the bins and tossed some cupcake crumbs next to Karen which prompted the ravenous Seagulls to swoop towards the crumbs, flying right next to Karen.
“Hey, great away from me you pesky beasts!” yelled Karen who tossed some fireworks towards the Seagulls. “But isn’t this littering?” said Dougie who cares about keeping the environment clean although he was more concerned with the way Karen is being violent with the Seagulls. “We can clean it up afterwards,” said Harry.
This gives Andrew and Sam the opportunity to steal the fireworks into their bags. “I won’t lie that I am nervous but I gotta do this!” said Sam bravery as he quickly gathered the fireworks. “It’s good that you have the courage but you’ll be fine as long as you have me and those McFly boys watching over you” said Andrew reassuringly. Sam looked at Andrew as he felt warm and safe in his comfort.
However, Karen has managed to repel the Seagulls and spotted Andrew and Sam stealing her fireworks. “Hey, lay off those fireworks of mine!” she yelled. Andrew fierily shielded Sam upon being confronted. The McFly boys noticed what had happened and leapt from their hiding place to defend them. “I never thought you Faggots would be capable of outsmarting me,” said Karen snarky. “Well, we know that you’ll use these fireworks to hurt others. For which we cannot allow!” said Sam boldly.
“Why is it that you faggots are always offended when I’m just stating my opinion! I have the right to not agree with your disgusting lifestyle aren’t I?!” cried Karen. “I say you need to learn to respect others who are different but hey, that’s just my opinion!” said Harry mockingly. “Why you... I shall send you all to hell!” screamed Karen and was about to toss a firework at them (with the McFly boys huddled together) but Firefly tackled her down, causing her to drop her firework. “Alright Firefly!” cheered Danny. “I normally condemn violence but I’ll make this an exception” said Firefly. “Well, it’s good that we Queers stand up for ourselves,” said Andrew.
Kev and Karen were then arrested by the police as reported by Mike who became reunited with PK with the couple embracing each other. Dominic and Alex have heard about the news. “Oh thank goodness; to think that our lives would have been in danger just for celebrating who we are” said Dominic with relief (especially with what he has foreshadowed was prevented thanks to his idols for sure. Maybe one day, he could tell them his other secret). “I know, that’s why we couldn’t allow you all to get hurt” said Charlie as they were all thankful that they were able to protect Dominic and many innocent people celebrating Pride. “It’s all for you to be who you are and to love who you love,” said Tom. “It’s how it should be. People can try to tear us down all they like but only we get to live our lives based on what we’re born with and have the last say, no one else” said Dominic.
“I couldn’t agree more Dominic and this makes you all heroes of Pride” said Alex as The McBusted boys, The Vloggers and the Drag Duo were on stage with Alex sharing the news about their bravery. The crowd were cheering for them as they were given Pride wreaths as their makeshift medal of honour. “Thank you lovely people. It’s all to celebrate who you truly are” said James. “A Queer got to do what a Queer got to do!” said Dougie and the crowd applauded with approval and laughter.
Afterwards, they were able to celebrate Pride without any incidents with The McBusted boys, Garret, PK, Mike, Andrew and Sam watching the Pride march, spotting Dominic who is with his group. They couldn’t resist waving and cheering for him. Dominic happily waved back to his idols and friends, knowing that they had his back. It helped him to enjoy being part of Pride which makes it a great experience for him.
After the march, The McBusted boys were on stage with Dominic, singing ‘Over the Rainbow’ with the Drag Duo dancing in the background. Garret, PK, Mike, Andrew, Sam, Alex with his husband Carter (watching backstage) and Dominic’s friends were all dancing and cheering for their dazzling performance.
Once they were finished with the performance, they all gathered at the table, sharing pizza and drinks as they spend the rest of Pride together. “Once again, I can’t thank you all enough for showing me that I don’t have to be afraid for who I am” said Dominic with emotion. “Anything to help you out, Dominic. It’s all to celebrate love which is everyone” said Matt warmly. “I say that we as allies and communities have to be strong to stand up to hate,” said Harry. “You got that right, it’s all to strive for progression each time,” said Alex. “You’re part of our family mate, always” said Danny who wrapped his arm around Dominic’s shoulder. Dominic happily felt warm and safe with Danny embracing him and they all continued to enjoy the day that celebrated love and diversity, making a difference and knowing that they would always stand together no matter what.
