Here is part four of my fan fiction for two of my favourite boy bands McFly and Busted in their super group McBusted where they continued their tour in the world of Pokemon in the Orre region from Pokemon Colosseum and Pokemon XD during the gen 3 days. During their arrival in the Orre region, the McBusted boys got themselves involved in an incident involving Shadow Pokemon. They learned a song that is said to the key to purifying Shadow Pokemon. Enjoy and stay tuned for more.
McFly and Busted: Voices that brings light to the Shadows
Chapter 1: Arrival of the shadows
Two best-loved boy bands McFly and Busted formed together
as McBusted made their arrival in the arid and mysterious Orre region as part
of their Pokémon tour. The landscape was rather unique to the boys of McFly and
Busted as it’s not every day that they get to do a tour in a desert wasteland
dotted with the occasional oasis.
“Phew, it’s so hot” said Danny sweating. “And so are you”
said Dougie teasing him which made Danny blush. “Tell me, was it this hot when
you guys took a trip to Australia for your Radioactive album?” asked James. “I
say it was more humid though we gotta keep out cool regardless” replied Tom.
Nevertheless, they played a few shows in Orre including
Phanec City and Pyrite Town. The McBusted boys got close to their fans while on
the B-Stage that was on the middle of their arena and the OMFG stage where they
have the chance of hi-fiving their fans. Danny was sweaty so at the end of the show he
got out his towel and wiped his armpit, chest and genital area and tossed it to
the lucky crowd cheering for them.
During their break, they looked around at Agate Village
which is one of the cooler places in Orre with it being a forest village. Along
the way, they found a shrine at the Relic Forest in the northern part of Agate
Village known as the Relic Stone. “Now that is an interesting-looking shrine”
said Charlie. There was a notice next to the Relic Stone that showed lyrics of
a song that is said to summon the mythical Pokémon Celebi who has the power to
travel through time and to open the hearts of Pokémon whose hearts have been
closed off. “I say it’ll be a good idea for us to learn the song” said Matt
with interest. “Yeah, I would like to see one” said Harry and the McBusted boys
took note of the song.
Suddenly, they heard a scream behind them. “What was
that?” cried Danny. “We better check it out” said Tom and they rushed in the
direction of the noise. They have found four young trainers with two of them a
boy and a girl named Merrick and Marni with not only their Pokémon Pikachu and Eevee were knocked out but they where attacked by their opponents’ Makuhita and Teddiursa Pokémon who are owned by two boys named Groth and Toby who looked
horrified with their Pokémon were acting hostile for some reason. “Please
stop!” cried Groth but their Pokémon wouldn’t listen and were about to attack
their own trainers but Danny and Matt rushed in and grabbed them out of the way
in time although they were nearly attacked in the process.
“Are you both alright?” asked Matt. “Thanks Sirs but our
Pokémon wouldn’t listen to us” said Toby. “They brutally defeated our Pokémon
before they could stand a chance” explained Merrick who was shaken with the
whole event. “They tried to attack us! We don’t know why!” cried Marni who was
frightened by that experience. “Don’t worry, we’ll help out” said James
reassuring them.
The two shiny Ralts that belonged to McFly and Busted
have noticed a shadowy aura on Makuhita and Teddiursa that is only visible to
them. They used their telepathic powers to share what they can see with the
McBusted boys. “What is that?!” said Harry. “It looks like a dark glowing aura”
suggested Tom. “You think that’s making them crazy?” asked Charlie. Makuhita
and Teddiursa were about to attack Merrick and Marni but the two Ralts bravely
defended them by firing their Disarming Voice which stunned them. “Alright! Way
a go you both!” cheered Dougie. The Ralts then subdue them by firing their
Psybeam at them.
An old man made his appearance, approaching the group.
“My apologies for intruding but I am Eagun. We have been receiving reports of
Pokémon attacking people lately. It pains me to hear as people and Pokémon
coexisting is how it always should be. I’m sorry for you kids to be among the
victims involved” said Eagun sorrowfully. “Excuse me but do you have any idea
what’s causing those two Pokémon to act crazy?” asked Tom. “Those two Ralts of
ours have seen some kind of shadow aura that came from them yet only they can
see it” added Matt.
“I don’t know but it sounds like their hearts have been
closed off by that shadow aura. It’s amazing that your Ralts are able to see it
which is truly special of them aside from their shiny appearance” said Eagun.
“Yeah, we owe it to them a lot” said Dougie smiling. “It’s all thanks to them”
said Charlie. Their Ralts were happy to hear such praise. “That reminded me, I
saw you all at the Relic Shrine taking an interest in the song known as The
Forest Guardian that is said to summon Celebi who has the power to open the
hearts of Pokémon. Would you guys mind playing that song?” asked Eagun. “Why
certainly” said Danny who was eager to try it. “A good opportunity to show you
all our performance” said James.
The McBusted boys played The Forest Guardian with smooth
vocals while playing their instruments softly matching the gentle breeze of the
forest leaves which made everyone feel relaxed. After they finished playing the
song, Celebi appeared, much to their amazement as it used its powers to purify
Makuhita and Teddiursa.
“Wow! Did you see that?!” said Harry with excitement.
“Our singing has summoned that Celebi!” cheered Dougie. “Wonderful! The legends
must be true! That song must be the key to summon Celebi for those Pokémon to
be purified and you all have the vocals and talent for that song! You all could
be the ones to rescue those Pokémon from that shadow aura!” said Eagun. “We’ll
be happy to use our singing to save them all! We can’t let anyone control those
Pokémon, just like what happened in Johto” said Danny. “Looks like we’ll be
saving the day with our singing again” said James.
“We’re sorry for our Pokémon to cause all the trouble”
said Toby. “That’s alright, I know it wasn’t both of your fault” said Marni. “I
know we’ll have a fairer battle next time” said Merrick. “Do you both know how
these Pokémon of yours became berserk?” asked Charlie. “We don’t know but they
were given to us by a strange man with afro hair. We thought we’d try them out”
replied Groth. The McBusted boys take a note to keep an eye out for a man with
afro hair.
Chapter 2: Dance in the Shadows
Eagun told the McBusted boys that there was a report of
aggressive Pokémon spotted at Citadark Isle including a huge one that was
causing massive storms to appear which made it dangerous to travel to Orre so
they made their way to Citadark Isle to investigate. “It’s a good thing we have
arrived before it happened” said Tom. “Yeah but we may won’t be able to leave
Orre” said Dougie half-jokingly, half worryingly.
The mayor of Pyrite Town Duking has accompanied them so
that he can arrest those who are responsible for the incident. “Is it just me
or a lot of people in Orre have been working out a lot?” said James. “There’s a
whole lot of scary thugs that’s for sure” said Dougie. “Now now, I may not look
it but I only wish to maintain the peace throughout Orre. And you said
you are McBusted? My daughter is a fan of you all who has seen your shows the
other day” said Duking. “Well, it’s nice to meet you” said Danny who was
flattered, shaking hands with him. “Thought there’s going to be an arm
wrestling match!” joked Matt.
As soon as they arrive, they find the man with afro hair
at the entrance who immediately greets them by showing off his groovy dance
moves as if he’s in a disco. His Pokémon Luidcolos were dancing with
him. “Well hello, I am Miror B! Are you here to see my special show?” said
the man. “This doesn’t look like an ideal place for a dance show” said
James dryly. “Mush and I can do a better dance than that! Just like with me on
Strictly Comes Dancing” said Harry cockily. “Why how dare you Peasant! You’re
the boy band from those shows aren’t you? I saw you all! There’s no way I dance
to those cheesy pop music of yours!” said Miror B mockingly. “Who are you
calling us cheesy?!” argued Matt.
“Now hold on! You’re the one who’s been giving out those
Pokémon that attack other people aren’t you?” asked Charlie. Miror B was
surprised to hear this but he continued to toy with them. “What do you mean?
I’m just here to dance with my Pokémon all day long, matching their moves to
the beat in the heart of battle” said Miror B as he danced some more but the
McBusted boys weren’t buying it. “You can’t fool us! We've seen Pokémon
attacking others with our own eyes and this isn’t right!” said Danny.
Miror B stopped playing dumb and said “Fine, if you
Peasants really want to know; we Cipher have been creating Shadow Pokémon!”
“Shadow Pokémon? Just what do you intend to do with them?!” cried Harry. Miror B
explained that Cipher aims to create powerful Pokémon for them to gain power
all over the world by turning them into soulless fighting machines at the
expense of their emotions. He was the one who had been giving out Shadow
Pokémon to people to spread Shadow Pokémon throughout the region as much as
possible.
“With our Shadow Pokémon, we shall make the world fall
with our groove!” boasted Miror B. “Not if we stop you from controlling those
Pokémon against their will!” declared Tom. “Yeah, people and Pokémon are meant
to live in harmony! We’ll show you that we are strong with our Pokémon’s hearts
open to us!” said Danny as they were ready to fight. “We cannot allow you
people to get away with Shadow Pokémon!” said Duking sternly. “Very well then,
let’s start the music!” said Miror B as six brightly coloured Cipher peons who
call themselves the Hexagon Brothers have gathered around to assist Miror B for
their battle.
The McBusted boys send out the Pokémon that they have
captured throughout the Kanto, Johto and Hoenn regions up against seven Pokémon
sent out by MirorB and the Hexagon Brothers Resix, Blusix, Browsix, Yellosix,
Pursix and Greexi which the Ralts have detected shadow aura on them, indicating
that they are Shadow Pokémon.
Danny was up against Greesix’s Shadow Exeggutor. He sends
out his Machamp but he realised that his Machamp has a type disadvantage
against Exeggutor. “Ha! Your Machamp can’t switch out now!” taunted Greesix as
his Shadow Exeggutor used Shadow Hold which prevented his Machamp from
switching out. “Well we’ll just have to use our might to beat you!” said Danny
who flexed his muscles just like his Machamp. “You have some guts!” said
Greesix who ordered Shadow Exeggutor to use Shadow Storm. Quickly, Danny told his
Machamp to block the move with its Stone Edge. Shadow Exeggutor then rammed
into Machamp using Shadow End which hurts Machamp. “Don’t give up, I know you
can do it! Strike back with Knock Off!” said Danny. Machamp heard his wishes
and hits back using Knock Off which was super effective on Shadow Exeggutor
(especially since Shadow Exeggutor has dealt recoil damage using Shadow End).
He then told Machamp to finish it using Dynamic Punch with its No Guard ability
helped it to land its attack correctly, subduing Shadow Exeggutor, much to
Greesix’s disbelief. “Alright! We are the champ!” cheered Danny as he mirrored
Machamp’s poses in celebration. “The resemblance is uncanny” said Dougie
witnessing this.
Tom battles Yellosix’s Shadow Manectric using his Starmie.
Like with Danny’s Machamp, his Starmie has a type disadvantage but this did not
deter him and kept his cool. “Manetric, darken the skies using Shadow Sky!”
said Yellowsix and his Shadow Manectric summoned shadowy showers that hurts
Starmie. Shadow Manectric then fired its Shadow Wave at it. “Starmie,
heal the damage with Recover!” said Tom and his Starmie regenerated itself to
recover itself. “Now become the star and fire your Hydro Pump!” said Tom and
Starmie scored a direct hit on the Shadow Manectric. Yellowsix commanded Shadow
Manectric to fire its Shadow Rave but Tom told Starmie to counter it with
Psyshock which also hurts Shadow Manectric, knocking it out. “Just like my Star
Girl” said Tom in triumphantly. “Your dream has come true” commented James.
James chooses Hitmontop to battle Purpsix who uses Shadow
Gengar. This puts James in a tough spot since Fighting-type moves have no
effect on Ghost types and his Shadow Gengar used Shadow Hold to prevent
Hitmontop from switching out. “I got you now!” taunted Purpsix as his Shadow
Gengar fired his Shadow Rave at Hitmontop. But James comes with up creative
ideas to work around it as he commanded his Hitmontop to take out the attacks
by using Close Combat, battering the incoming shadow attacks with its feet.
Just as Shadow Gengar was about to attack using Shadow Storm, James told his
Hitmontop to use Sucker Punch which strikes first. “But how?!” exclaimed
Purpsix. “It doesn’t hurt to have your Pokémon to know super effective moves!”
said James who then told Hitmontop to finish it off using Triple Axel.
“Type matchups mean nothing to me with my Shadow
Pokémon!” claimed Resix who uses Shadow Magcargo up against Dougie’s Gyarados,
firing its Shadow Wave towards its direction to prevent Gyarados from charging in using Waterfall. “Oh yeah? I'll have to fight smarter than!” said Dougie
who commanded Gyarados to use Dragon Dance and boosted its Attack and Speed.
That helped his Gyarados to become faster and stronger, using Bounce to successfully dodge Shadow Magcargo's Shadow Rave by jumping into the air and landing down at it. The impact has stunned Shadow Magacargo whcih made it open to Gyarados' Waterfall. “Yep, I did a better job raising
it than that Magikarp Salesmen” said Dougie.
“Alright! Keep it up!” cheered Matt as his Hitmonchan
defended itself from Brownsix’s Shadow Claydol firing its Shadow Wave at it,
using consecutive Mach Punches. “You think you’re so smart?” said Brownsix as
his Shadow Claydol used its Shadow Mist which made Matt’s Hitmonchan exposed to
attacks. “Alright, now use Shadow Panic!” said Brownsix and Shadow Claydol
landed the move on Matt’s Hitmonchan, causing it to become confused. “Ha! I got
you now!” taunted Brownsix as Shadow Claydol charged towards Hitmonchan using
Shadow Rush. “Hitmonchan! You can do this!” called Matt. It was able to hear
Matt’s voice, snapping it out of its confusion and hit Claydol with its Ice
Punch, dealing twice as damage with its ability Iron Fist.
“We have an advantage over you so the battle will be
ours!” boasted Harry as he used his Tropius against Blusix’s Shadow Quagsire who avoided its moves by flying up in the air and dealing a couple of damage
using Hurricane. “Oh yeah? You have no idea what my Shadow Pokémon is capable off!”
said Blusix who commanded his Shadow Quagsire to use Shadow Mist which made
Harry’s Tropius more exposed to its incoming attack Shadow Half which caused
both Pokémon to get hurt with their HP cut in half. “Ha! Now who’s laughing?!”
said Blusix as Harry’s Tropius was weakened. However, Harry noticed that
Blusix’s Shadow Quagsire was unable to move so he took advantage of it and
told Tropius to fire its Energy Ball at it which took it down with it being a
super effective hit. “See? What did I tell you?” said Harry.
Charlie’s Hitmonlee fought against Miror B’s Shadow Mr
Mime...who mostly commanded Mr Mime’s mime abilities rather than fighting
seriously even as a Shadow Pokémon as shown when he told Shadow Mr Mime to
create an invisible wall to block Charlie’s Hitmonlee’s attacks with an
invisible wall. “It seems that your Pokémon doesn’t have the groove to land a
hit!” laughed Miror B. “Oh yeah? We’ll have to smash that wall!” said Charlie
as his Hitmonlee kicked the invisible wall to shatter it using Mega Kick.
“Watch out! Here comes the hammer!” said Miror B as his Shadow Mr Mime whacked
Charlie’s Hitmonlee with an invisible hammer. Miror B laughed and said “It
seems that you can’t handle our performance!” “Then I’ll have to give you a
better show!” said Charlie who commanded his Hitmonlee to whack the invisible
hammer using Blaze Kick. “How dare you! Here’s your punishment!” said Miror B
as his Shadow Mr Mime tied up Charlie’s Hitmonlee with an invisible rope. “Only
I can be the star of the show!” gloated Miror B as his Shadow Mr Mime was
pulling the invisible rope. Charlie figured that the rope hadn’t tied up
Hitmonlee’s legs so as soon as it got closer to Shadow Mr Mime, he said to his
Hitmonlee “Now Hitmonlee, unleash your Mega Kick!” and his Hitmonlee kicked
right through Shadow Mr Mime which caused it to drop the invisible rope and
knocking it out. “Boy, was that a battle or a pantomime show?” muttered
Charlie.
With the Shadow Pokémon weakened, this was the McBusted
boy’s chance to purify them with their Forest Guardian song to summon Celebi.
“Aright! Now to purify them with our song!” said Danny. “Not so fast! Purifying
them is a no-no!” cried Miror B as the Shadow Pokémon got back up and fired
their attacks towards the McBusted boys. “Woah men! Those Shadow Pokémon are
savage!” yelled Dougie as they tripped over, narrowly avoiding the attacks.
“We won’t let anyone stop our Shadow Pokémon that
easily!” said Miror B and the Shadow Pokémon were about to charge towards the
McBusted boys but their Ralts protected them by firing their Disarming Voice at
them. The serenading voices have stopped the Shadow Pokémon’s tracks. Even
Miror B’s Luidcolos couldn’t help but dance to them. “Ooo what is this groove?”
said Miror B. “Good job there Ralts!” praised Harry. “Ok, let’s do our thing!”
said Matt and they played the Guardian Forest song which summoned Celebi to
purify the Shadow Pokémon while Duking and the police force retrained the
Hexagon Brothers so that they wouldn’t interfere with their singing.
“Oh no, no, no! My tempo is off! This won’t do at all!”
cried Miror B. “Give it up! This party of yours is over!” said Tom. “Oh yeah?
Well I guess I’ll let you all Peasants deal with our strongest Shadow Pokémon
right in the Dome but I doubt that you all can handle its rhythm!” said Miror
B. “If we can handle yours, then we can handle anything” said Charlie bravely.
“Please be careful here. Orre’s fate is in your hands” said Duking with
concern. The McBusted boys nodded at him and they moved on ahead.
Chapter 3: Opening the heart
They reached Citadark Isle’s Dome and found Shadow Lugia
who was staring at them with its eyes glowing with a malevolent light that made
them feel uneasy with overwhelming presense. They couldn’t believe that its
once-majestic wings were now dark and shadowy.
“It sure has turned to the dark side” said James wearily.
“Come on everyone, we got to purify Lugia’s heart with our voices!” said Tom
with determination. Everyone agreed and they were ready to battle it.
Shadow Lugia roared and charged towards them. “Machamp!
Grab hold of its wings!” called Danny. Machamp grabbed Shadow Lugia’s wings
with its powerful arms. It then fired its Stone Edge at Shadow Lugia but it
unleashed its Shadow Blast at Machamp to free itself. It then fired its Shadow
Storm towards Danny’s Machamp. “Quick! Use Thunderbolt to defend Machamp!”
called Tom. “You too Hitmontop with your Triple Axel!” called James. Both
Pokémon defended Danny’s Machamp with their moves (Danny showed showed them his apperication with his smile that swoons them) but they were overwhelmed in
by the shadow attacks in the process. Machamp grabbed hold of Starmie and
Hitmontop with its arms before they fell to the ground.Tom and James were greateful to help Danny.
Shadow Lugia then charged in using Shadow End. “Quick
Hitmonlee, stop it with your Hi Jump Kick!” called Charlie. “And you Gyarados
with your Waterfall!” called Dougie. Both of their Pokémon collided with Shadow
Lugia. The impact caused massive damage to them. Matt tried to use this chance
for his Hitmonchan to sucker punch Shadow Lugia with its Thunder Punch, only
for it to spot Hitmonchan and fire its Shadow Storm. Harry told Tropius to help
Hitmonchan out by firing its Hurricane at the Shadow Storm but it wasn’t strong
enough to intercept the shadow move, causing both Pokémon to get hit.
The McBusted boys weren’t backing down just yet. The Busted
boys commanded Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan and Hitmontop to distract Shadow Lugia
with their martial-based moves for the McFly boy’s Pokémon to attack it
together including Machamp and Gyarados attacking at close range with Dynamic
Punch and Power Whip, Starmie and Tropius attacking from the distance with their
Ice Beam and Solar Beam. A glint in their eyes where showing as both bands work together. Although it was a good teamwork effort, Shadow Lugia
was still strong who fired its Shadow Blast at them, weakening their Pokémon.
“Hitmonchan! Are you ok?!” cried Matt. “You can’t give
up!” said Harry. Their Ralts wanted to help even though they were not strong
enough to take down a shadow legendary Pokémon alone. They foreseen an attack
and fired their Disarming Voice at Shadow Lugia firing its Shadow Storm which
was fired towards the McBusted Boy’s other Pokémon while they were down. While
it didn’t hit Shadow Lugia too much, it did help to hold off the attack for a
few seconds until they were knocked down by the blast. “No! Ralts!” cried Tom
as he and Charlie rushed over to them. “I know you want to help but don’t hurt
yourself” said Charlie.
Their Ralts were still determined to help which triggered
their evolution. They have now evolved into Kirila. “Wow! You both evolved!”
cheered Danny. “That’s amazing of you both!” said James. While they still
weren’t strong enough against Shadow Lugia, their Psybeam was a bit stronger to
intercept Shadow Lugia’s Shadow Storm for a bit until their moves were
overpowered. The two Kirila leapt with grace to dodge the shadow move just in time.
Just as Shadow Lugia fired its Shadow Blast, two wormholes appeared which fired
bolts of psychic energy that hit Shadow Blast. That was their Future Sight
attack. “Wow! I didn’t see that coming!” said Dougie with astonishment as the
McBusted boys used this opportunity for their Pokémon to combine all of their
moves to attack Shadow Lugia.
With Shadow Lugia becoming exhausted, this was their
chance to play The Forest Guardian song. “Now for our song!” called James.
“Hang in there Lugia, we’ll be the beacon of hope for your darkness” said Danny
as they sang the song to summon Celebi to purify Lugia. As Lugia become free
from the darkness that has consumed it, its appearance has reverted to its
shining silvery colouration and the storms it has created have disappeared,
allowing the sun to shine upon Orre once more. Lugia let out a soft cry as its
way of saying thanks and spreading its wings towards the sky.
“We did it. We actually did it” said Matt with his voice
filled with awe. “We have our Kirlias to thank” said Harry. Their Kirlias were
happy to help out by evolving.
Chapter 4 – Into the light
With every Shadow Pokémon purified, Miror B and the other
members of Cipher have been arrested. The people of Orre have thanked the
McBusted boys for having Orre and their Pokémon, especially Lugia with its
heart opened once again. “We’re happy to help out though you should be thanking
Celebi who has the power to purify Pokémon” said Tom.
They played their final concert in Orre at Realgam Tower,
sharing the Forest Guardian song for the people to remember. They also played a
new song having to become inspired by this adventure ‘Light in the Shadows’
which is an inspiring song that emphasises the power of music and bond can
overcome even the darkest of times which was like a beacon of hope.
Afterwards, James said “Sounds like we’ll be having a lot
more adventures throughout our Pokémon Tours” though he is nevertheless
excited. “Yeah, it feels so good to help out people and Pokémon” said Danny.
“I’m all for it too. Gotta save them all” said Dougie. They were then
with their Kirlias. “It’s great that you both evolved. It’s one step closer to
becoming Gardevoir” said Matt with excitement. “Yeah and we still have the Dawn
Stone ready for Gallade” said Tom holding it. “But you don’t have to use it
until you’re ready” said Harry patiently. “Yeah, there’s no rush into evolving
so quickly but we are still grateful for your help” said Charlie. Their Kirlias
smiled at them.
And they departed from Orre with more adventures awaiting
them and more hearts to resonate with their music.
