To celebrate the ongoing Busted Vs McFly tour, I have written a full length story which stars the boys from McFly and Busted going on an adventure to find and learn a song in the nine islands of Yggdrasil to find the treasure to save the world, meeting characters portrayed by Hayden Christensen who serve as Yggdrasil's guardians; setting them trails for them to earn the song.

I also recommend you to read McBusted: The Celestial Reunion and Love and McBusted meets Anakin Skywalker: The Forces of Light that beats the darkness where they have first meet Anakin and learn psychic powers which they will be using throughout this story. Dominic himself also have psychic powers which I do plan to cover more of for a future story.

The third chapter focus on James Bourne (who sadly is at the timing of this writing is unable to take part in the Busted Vs McFly tour due to ill health but I am still including him with this story was written long before and even then, he is still part of Busted/McBusted, has done a lot for McFly, he deserves better and no band members should be left behind so I am doing this for him. I hope that he'll make a full recovery soon) and Sam Monroe from Life as a House. While gathering the materials that are needed to build a house as part of their trial, James Bourne, Melody and Sam became separated from the others.

James Bourne – Separated in Paradise
Yo! It’s James Bourne from Busted! It’s about time that we Busted boys get to shine after two of the McFly guys get to have their fancy anime transformation and learn Seven Harmonies already (though to be fair, they are my friends with me being a huge fan of them and I do owe them for inviting me and Matt on stage for their anniversary tour, joining them as McBusted which opened the way for a Busted reunion).
Anyway, our next destination at Yggdrasill was a coastal island with mountains known as Califordon where we met the Princess of Califordon named Indigo. “Hello, dear travellers. What can I do for you?” asked Indigo. “We are looking for Seven Harmonies with my boy band friends who have the power to sing it. We believe that it’ll lead us to the treasure Ragnacho. Do you know of it?” asked Dominic.
“I believe that our guardian can help you all out with that,” said Indigo, who summoned an emo-looking young man from the gateways by the name of Sam Monroe. “Oh, our brave guardian Sam, we humbly request you to give brave travellers their trial to prove their worth to find what they seek. I know that you have what it takes to test their mettle,” said Indigo. “Well, it’s a good thing that I am not busy with my building, so I might as well get this over with,” replied Sam, glancing at us.
I‘m not sure if Indigo is overselling this but Sam said to us without making much eye contact, “Alright, you travellers, I don’t know who you all are but if you want to make yourselves, then find and gather the materials that you’ll find around Höðr Bay that’ll be used to build a house. It should be straightforward; even you all can do that.” Never had I expected us to build a house for our careers since we’re pop punk bands, not builders. But hey, we got a trial to complete, so we looked around Höðr Bay and found some wood, bricks, and concrete with Dominic helping to find the materials with his psychic senses.
The only required materials that we failed to find are stones. “Oh my, it’s not just any stones but only the finest quality stones at Baldr Caverns, which is where the song is said to be found. Sam, why don’t you escort our guests there?” asked Indigo.
Sam reluctantly complied, saying “This has better be worth my time and try not to get in my way.” I don’t know what’s with his attitude so I said to him “I promise that we’ll make it worth your time, providing that you’ll be a livelier host.” I guess I was rubbing him the wrong way with Sam saying “What’s with you? I say you better keep quiet.”
I’ve overheard Dougie saying “Men what’s his problem? I would expected a more exciting host” “Guess his attitude matches his emo phase” said Matt. I guess they said it a little too loud (which isn’t surprising of Dougie) with Sam saying to them “Do you both have a problem with me punks?!” I defused the situation and stood up for my bandmates by saying “Let’s put our differences aside, focus on the task at hand and get along shall we?” Sam just glared at us and moved on ahead. As we’re near the cave, we check with Melody to see if she’s doing ok. “Yes, I may not be used to this but I got to get out there for me to grow” replied Melody. “That’s the spirit. It’s just like with me when I was in the jungle” said Danny. “I know you can do this,” said Harry. “Just let us know if you need anything” I said.
Once we arrived at Baldr Cavern, we were already confronted by Cave Dragons who didn’t seem pleased that we had entered their territory. “Ugh, they’re in our way!” groaned Sam who swung his plasma-infused hammer at them known as Monotomorillonate Hammer but he missed his mark so we had to help him.

“And now this will blow you away!” I said as Danny and I fired our Psycho Wind and Muscle Blaster towards the Cave Dragons with my wind currents giving Danny’s attack a thrust. “We’re certainly taking this by storm James!” cheered Danny smiling while we were holding our hands. Sam seemed to be unsure with our mannerisms but he did his job by swinging with Monotomorillonate Hammer at the Cave Dragons. Try as I might but his sense of humour always makes me smile. Working with him reminds me of the McBusted MEAT days when we both played ‘Beautiful Girls Are the Loneliest’ which beautifully shows our talent. He owes me one when I helped him to pick the name McFly for his band.
The Cave Dragons fight by ambushing in the dark, swiping their huge claws at us so they are rather sneaky. Melody suggested attacking their claws. Tom and I followed her suggestion by combining our Spacial Cuts and Psycho Fire as soon as they were about to swipe at us. It’s like combining our brain power as one with Tom saying “Working together like this brings me back the times when we wrote for each other’s songs.” Ah yes, they do bring me back. Even if we’re different bands, I always enjoy the time when we write songs together. We smiled at those memories, blushing at each other.
I saw some of us are having trouble against the Cave Dragons firing their mud projectiles at them. Charlie knew what I was thinking and said “I’ll defend them while you take care of these dragons!” “Sounds like the plan there!” I said and I fired my Psycho Wind at the Cave Dragons to blow them away while Charlie defended my friends with his Magical Shield. It was good thinking of Charlie there and even if we had split before, I knew that it has made us closer than ever as we looked at each other.
Sam managed to slam one of the Cave Dragons onto the wall with his telekinesis but one of the Cave Dragons was about to dig its way towards him. But Dougie and I spotted that and fired our attacks towards the ground where it was digging which dug it out. “Now that’s what I call how to dig out a Dragon!” laughed Dougie. “It was right on target!” I said, laughing at his joke. Sam looked at us in awe as he comprehended our mannerisms. Dougie and I are alike in a way, coming up with good ideas while acting erratic.
More Cave Dragons fired their quakes towards us but Matt and I stopped them with our Psycho Quake and Land Explosion, allowing the others including my Pokémon including Gardevoir and Leafeon to follow up their attacks. “Alright, we got them James!” cheered Matt while patting our shoulders. Ah yes, we sure did Matt. You have always been there with me throughout Busted even during the split. It’s like you have never truly left me.
Some Cave Dragons attempted to hide in the dark and sneak up on us but Harry and I were one step ahead of them as we fired our Psycho Thunder and Healing Shot towards where they were hiding to defend the others from their sucker punch. “That worked out well didn’t it?” said Harry as we were gazing at each other. He’s someone who pushes me to do better and I know that I can keep pushing myself with music is in my blood.
Melody suggested attacking the stalactites. “Ready to give this a shot James?” asked Dominic looking at me. “I’m one step ahead” I said looking at him back as Dominic and I combined our brainpowers as we aimed our Psycho Spheres and Star Force Shocker at the stalactites which fell towards the Cave Dragons which either hit them or trapped them. Dominic would make a great songwriter and I would be happy to write with him. We cleared away the Cave Dragons, allowing us to proceed.
“So, how much longer until we find those stones you needed?” I asked. “The sooner that we keep focus without idle chitchat, the better,” replied Sam, who looked up ahead. “Could have been more specific there,” said Matt. “Yeah, and to be more sociable, too,” said Harry. Sam just glared at them. They do have a point, though. I wanted to ask him if there was anything on his mind, though I doubt that I’ll get anything out of him.
We weren’t the only ones who were in Baldr Cavern. Idunn and Thor were fighting some Cave Dragons with their Miðgarðr mecha which resembled a human while looking for the song. “They are driving me batty!” yelled Idunn with her Miðgarðr slamming its foot on the ground which summoned a shockwave to knock them over. One of the Cave Dragons was about to ambush Miðgarðr but Thor spotted it and slammed his Mjölnir on the Cave Dragon to trap it on the earth. “I got your back Idunn. The sooner we can find the song, the better” said Thor.
Loki was by himself for his agenda. “This one half of the Binding Rokker is what I need for my goals,” he said, holding one half of the necklace. He then saw us making our way towards the chamber we were in. “So they come crawling in? I can’t risk them spotting me so it’ll be a good time for me to seal away the exits” said Loki who activated his Mistletoe bomb to make sure that we don’t follow him. He also said to himself “Guess I could have told those two though it’ll be more convenient for me this way plus this will teach them for their last two failures” as he made his way out.
The bombs caused rocks to suddenly fall from the ceiling which separated me, Sam and Melody from the others. “James! No!” cried Danny. If that wasn’t bad enough, the floor underneath them had given way, causing them to fall. Dominic used his telekinesis on them so that they made a soft landing.
None of us were hurt but we became separated. “What was that all about and where’s James, Melody and Sam?!” said Matt with concern. “Oh no! I hope they’re alright!” cried Charlie. They managed to reach out to me telepathically. I told them that we were alright but I had no clue where we were. “We’ll have to work our way until we meet up. Just say safe” said Tom. “Yeah, keep Melody safe too” said Dominic and he and the other McFly and Busted guys moved on ahead.

Melody was scared. “Will we get out of here?” she asked nervously. “Don’t worry, we’ll be fine” I said, reassuring her though the truth is that deep inside, I was hiding my fears of being separated from my bandmates. It reminded me of when I was stranded on the Caribbean Islands St Lucia during the lockdown which is where the inspiration for my second solo album Sugar Beach. It may sound like a nice way to spend lockdown but I was all alone, far away from my friends and family as I described in one of my songs Alone in Paradise. Being with my bandmates, doing what I love doing best means a lot to me and I can’t bear the thought of never being with them again in this strange place.
I wasn’t alone though with my Pokémon who could tell that I was getting anxious so they got closer to me to keep me comfort including Gardevoir, Leafeon and Pikachu. I then went over to Sam who looked at me and said “So this is what it’s like to have those close to you? I wish I had that.” Sam became open to me and said that he doesn’t have as many people close to him with his estranged family and his Father hiding his terminal illness from him when he was forced to help him to finish building a house (he works as an architect) before his death. “So I’ve been finding it hard to open and trust others who’ll only keep secrets from me so I find it easier to keep myself distance from others. It’s been years since I’ve finished building that house yet it doesn’t seem like I have moved on from that” said Sam sombrely.
“Sounds like you have it rough mate. Even if you were difficult, I’m happy to be your friend” I said warmly. Even Melody had the courage to speak out and say “I want to become stronger and to get to know more people, helping any way I can even with my autism.” Sam gave us a small smile and said “I guess I still have a job to do” as he led the way.
Idunn and Thor were caved in too. “Well, this is just great! We can’t get trapped here!” she cried. Thor stayed calm and said “Relax, I’ll get us out of here! We can use the Miðgarðr too!” as he used his strength to carry the boulders that got in the way. “We’ll better get going with those muscles of yours!” said Idunn who helped out with her Miðgarðr.

Back to us, my Pokémon have helped us to make our way through the cavern including taking care of the Cave Dragons that got in the way (in self-defence of course) with Dragonite, Scizor and Flapple striking first with their Extreme Speed, Bullet Punch and Sucker Punch before they can ambush us in the dark. “Sucker punching them before they sucker punch us!” boasted I as I returned the favour by firing my Psycho Fire at the Cave Dragons.
We spotted Sam having some trouble against one of the Cave Dragons, who shook the ground below him, making him wobble. So Meowscarada and I helped him by firing our Psycho Wind and Flower Trick. “After you, Sam,” I said. He seemed to appreciate that as he shoved the Cave Dragon with his force.
After that, we entered a room with multiple paths, which was rather troublesome. We could take any path and they’ll either lead us right to the others or cause us to get lost. It’s like a gamble but not the fun kind (of course, gamble sensibly folks). Melody was looking towards the far left path as if she smelled something and said “I can feel a slight breeze from the outside. I say we should take this path.” “That sounds like the best bet” I said and we made our way towards the left path.
Melody then noticed the small stream and said to us “The stream...I remembered going past it before.” “Well remembered there,” I said, encouraging her. “You’re our only hope of getting us out of here,” said Sam. She seemed to smile with our complement and I’m thankful for her perspective which is something to go on.
However, we were attacked by some Cave Dragons with one of them swiping me with their huge claw, causing me to get knocked towards the edge. I thought this was it; I’m never going to be reunited with my band. But Sam has grabbed me just in time. “I ain’t letting you fall!” he said as he helped to pull me up while giving me an intense look. Thank goodness, my life was flashing before my eyes. The Cave Dragon that knocked me over was taken care of by Salamence and Hitmontop. “Thank, I owe you one!,” I said with Sam and I took out another Cave Dragon before it could attack my Pokémon with my Psycho Ice and Sam slamming his Monotomorillonate Hammer.
Once we resumed the path, Melody was still worried. “What if I am wrong and this is the wrong path?” said Melody. I was worried myself with all of those intrusive thoughts involving not getting out of there or never finding the others. But someone has to provide some hope and comfort so I put that aside and said “I know that we’ll find the others, we have to. As long as we keep believing, then we have to move forward.” That seemed to help her as we moved on ahead.
Meanwhile, Dominic and the other Busted and McFly guys were making their way through, fighting some Cave Dragons along the way. They have the same concerns too with Matt anxiously saying “James...where is he? He better be alright!” “We can’t afford to lose him. He’s a part of us” said Charlie. Dominic and the McFly boys helped to reassure them with Dominic saying “Don’t worry, I know he’ll be ok along with the others as they watch over each other.” “He’s a smart lad so I’m sure he’ll figure his way out,” said Harry. “No matter which bands we’re from, we’ll find him and the others in no time,” said Danny.
Charlie and Matt were comforted by their support and they reached a large room with a pillar surrounded by the stones that we’re looking for, a large hole where the fresh air was breezing through and a small stream though that’s where they have found some people but not the kind who they’re looking for. Sure enough, it’s Idunn and Thor with their Miðgarðr. “I bet you’re the troublemakers who caused the blockage!” said Idunn pointing at them. “I don’t know what you’re on about but get out of our way!” argued Dougie. “Yeah, we have friends to find!” added Tom. “As long as you’re in our way, then we can’t let you go” said Thor as they were ready for a fight.

“And now, let's ready to rumble!” said Idunn who used the Miðgarðr’s mechanical feet to stamp the ground, releasing an earthquake using Raging Quake that caused my friends to topple over with Dougie landing on Danny. Bet that wasn’t a soft landing. “We’ll be the ones bringing you down here!” said Matt who tried to counter the Miðgarðr with his Land Explosion but Thor slammed the Miðgarðr’s huge mechanical feet on the ground which released a shockwave that countered Matt’s attack using Land Shocker.
“Hey no fair!” cried Dougie. “Sorry but I don’t play fairly!” laughed Idunn. “I’m all for playing fair but I’m not the kind who holds back so that Idunn can win” said Thor as the Miðgarðr was about to use Raging Quake again. Dominic had an idea and told the others to aim their attacks towards the legs. “I’m on it!” said Danny, firing his Muscle Blaster. “This better work!” said Tom, firing his Time Spheres. The attacks hit the legs which stopped the attack. “Alright! We’ll break that toy of yours!” boasted Harry who fired his Healing Shot towards the legs but Thor was one step ahead of them and used Land Shocker to counter the attack. So much for that plan as the boys became knocked down by the Raging Quake again. “Nice try boys!” taunted Idunn.
“This wasn’t as funny the second time round!” ranted Charlie. “I know, just like when we were in Japan and Danny was running naked” said Dougie. A bit too much information there though that’s Dougie for you unless he’s exaggerating. Danny was giving Dougie a particular look just like a mortified child who was witnessing their parent sharing their embarrassing story.
Once they got up, Dominic said “Looks like we better stay airborne if we were to stand a chance!” and levitated from the ground. The others did the same to avoid the Miðgarðr’s attacks, much to Idunn’s infuriation. “Alright! Try catching us now!” bragged Matt, firing his Explosive Sphere. But Thor had other ideas and said “I can see your plan but you have no idea what the Miðgarðr is capable of” and the Miðgarðr jumped on the ground which caused it to extend towards them. They couldn’t believe their eyes when the ground reached them as said by Harry “But how?! I don’t even...” and they were slammed down back to the earth.
“Ho! Ho! You think you’re flying fly when you’ll only come crashing to the ground!” taunted Idunn and she continued to pummel my friends with the Miðgarðr’s Raging Quake. Meanwhile, we were feeling the tremor ourselves with us walking on the path that is leading us towards the chamber which did not help us one bit with me tripping over and getting attacked by multiple Cave Dragons who were angry with the disturbance caused by the Odin Hunters Duo.
“No! I got to get back to my bandmates! They need me!” I cried as I was attacked by the Cave Dragons all at once. Rocks were falling towards me too. At this rate, I’ll never reunite with them and they’ll lose with me for failing to help them. But that’s when the others got my back with Sam slamming his Monotomorillonate Hammer on the Cave Dragons and using his telekinesis to shove them away, Primarina firing its Moonblast at the Cave Dragons and Hisuian Decidueye firing its Triple Arrows at the boulders. Melody helped to pick me up though she didn’t have the confidence to turn into her Phoegon form yet to help to fight. The other Pokémon helped to defend her from the Cave Dragons and boulders including Corviknight and Grumpig using their tough steel wings and telekinesis to break or move the boulders, Accelgor and Huntail using Bug Buzz and Aqua Tail to take down the Cave Dragons while they were burnt by Lumineon who used Scald.
“You go on ahead!” said Sam. “But what about you?” I asked. “You said you have friends waiting for you? I’m giving you that chance!” said Sam as he swung his Monotomorillonate Hammer at the Cave Dragons. My Pokémon also volunteered to stay behind to give Sam a helping hand with Gardevoir looking at me as if it’s her way to saying that they’ll be ok as they take care of them. So Melody and I rushed on ahead while we can. The ground still shook below us which hindered our movements (though I held onto Melody tightly) though I couldn’t afford to stop now. I have my bandmates waiting for me and I aren’t going to let them fall without my guidance. We need each other and nothing shall tear us apart!

We made it to the large room with the pillar where I saw my friends trapped. I wasn’t going to leave them any longer. We need each other and nothing shall tear us apart! I then became surrounded by pan indigo light which responded to my hope of reuniting with the others and my will to save them so it was my turn to experience this anime transformation and the first Busted guy to have a Harmony Form which is so cool men. My Harmony mode consists of an indigo outfit including a hoodie. How trendy!
With no hesitation, I went out there and saved the others, singing one of my Busted songs to summon musical notes to get them out from the Terra Protrude while damaging the Miðgarðr. “James! Thank god you’re here!” said Matt with relief and excitement at my transformation. “And the first one of us to have a Harmony Form!” said Charlie. “I shall use the power of music to aid you all!” I said, using my Harmonic ability that gives everyone extra movement that helped them to avoid the Miðgarðr’s attacks.
“What? How could they be this fast? Keep still will you?!” cried Idunn who tried to stop us with Raging Quake. “Alright! Now we’re doing it thanks to you James!” cheered Tom who dodged the Raging Quake. “We owe you one James, just like when you wrote with us” said Danny who struck the Miðgarðr using Kinesis Kick before Thor had a chance to block the attack using the giant hand.
Once my harmony effect wore off, we levitated from the ground to avoid the attacks. Idunn tried to catch up to us using The Miðgarðr’s Terra Protrude but I intercepted them with my gust of wind using Psycho Wind as I said “I’ll blow you all away!” “Now you can’t catch us!” taunted Harry, firing his Healing Shot at The Miðgarðr.
“I won’t lose just because one of you has this super fancy transformation!” cried Idunn in frustration. Thor was being resourceful and used The Miðgarðr’s hands to punch the ceiling above us which caused rocks from the ceiling to fall towards us. “Woah, the sky is falling!” cried Dougie exaggerating. But that’s when Sam and my Pokémon have arrived with them taking out the rocks for us or dealing damage to The Miðgarðr including Delphox firing its Fire Blast at The Miðgarðr, Hatterene using Psychic to move the rocks, Dhelmise slamming its Power Whip at the rocks and Leafeon using Leaf Blade to slice the rocks. “This is for all the racket!” said Sam who used his telekinesis to shove the rocks away and slamming The Miðgarðr with his Monotomorillonate Hammer “It’s good to have you all back in one piece,” said Dominic. Gardevoir nodded in response.
Thanks to their help, we were able to continue to weaken The Miðgarðr further including my Psycho Aqua (which I’ve also used to destroy the falling rocks). “And now for my grand finale that’ll end with a bang!” I said, using my guitar to unleash my ultimate attack; Ultra Starry Musical Blaster which finished off The Miðgarðr.
After Idunn and Thor escaped from the destroyed Miðgarðr, Idunn cried “Three losses in a row! How could I lose to the likes of you?!” “Because we’re that talented and keep it together, that’s what!” I said. Thor spotted the hole where the fresh air was coming from and said “Idunn, we can make our retreat from that hole for now.” Idunn decided to take that option but swears that she will get us back next time. I wouldn’t count on it.
We were glad to be reunited. “James, we thought we lost you there” said Charlie with relief as we all give each other a cuddle as if we couldn’t let go of each other. “Promise that you’ll never leave by our side again,” said Matt, looking at me in the eye. “I’m glad that you’re all alright safe. For now on, we’re in this together forever” I said. After all, we Busted boys may have split up but our reunion was made possible, just like how pigs can fly and those McFly boys had their bonds tested but as they say, McFly is forever.
“This is where you’ll find Seven Harmonies. I wouldn’t give it you until you finished building the house but you earned this” said Sam who showed us the rock where the Indigo glow came from in the form of an Indigo Orb. “Alright, it’s time for you to learn the song,” said Tom. “Yeah, we’ll let you keep up with us this time round,” said Danny jokingly. It was indeed Busted’s turn to learn Seven Harmonies. I’ve learned the note that goes with it and the short, but uplifting lyrics that says “Look for the light within the darkness to prevail”. Maybe that’s how Danny, Tom and I have gained our Harmony Modes and I’m sure that’s how the others will too.
After learning the song, I saw Dominic who looked dizzy just like every time we learned the song. Something is definitely up. As I went to check over him, he said “I...I saw..blurry flames” said Dominic who felt confused. “I have a feeling that it could mean something. Maybe if we find more of the song, it’ll become clearer” I said analysing this. I then added, “But please, take care of yourself, Dominic”. He insisted that he’ll be fine though we all knew that it could lead up to something like a dark secret.
Once we made it out of the cave, Harry said “It feels so
good to have fresh air again.” Sam said to us “Well, I guess it wasn’t half bad
hanging out with all of you. Still, I suppose I have to build myself a lot more.”
“I’m sure your Father will be proud on how much you have grown” I said which
made Sam smile.
We then spend the rest of the day helping Sam to build a small house using the materials we have gathered, even though we technically passed the trial but we thought it’ll be our way to spend a bit more time with him. I wouldn’t say we were professionals compared to Sam, but we did a good job working together to construct a basic house, even Sam says so (though not without some accidents, including Danny dropping a brick on his foot, Matt tripping over a stone, and Dougie getting a splinter from a wood but at least we had a few laughs). Maybe it could be our recording studio. Having to be satisfied with it, Sam made his leave, wishing us good luck. It was a good experience.
Oh and Indigo have shown up and said “Oh thank goodness that you brave warriors have made it out alive! When I heard that there was an explosion at Baldr Cavern, I was so worried sick about you all that I could cry!” It was rather over the top of her but at least it does show that she cares. Dominic then asked her “By any chance, do you know what caused the explosion?” “I’m not sure but I thought I saw a young man coming out of the cave a minute after the explosion though it’s probably my imagination” answered Indigo. The stern looks on Danny’s face tell me that it seems to ring a bell to him. But we put that to one side for now.
As soon as we arrived back at the Mega McBus, I told everyone that it was Melody who led me and the others to them. “That was excellent of you Melody!” said Matt proudly. “Yeah, we couldn’t have done it without her,” I said. Melody smiled and said, “It feels so good to help.” “It shows how capable you can be,” said Danny. “Yes and I vow to continue helping you all so that I can get as strong as you all” said Melody. “I know it’ll make you stronger with us by your side” said Dominic encouraging her.
