Here is part twelve of my fan fiction for two of my favourite boy bands McFly and Busted in their super group McBusted where they continued their tour in the world of Pokémon at Kitakami from one of the Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC The Teal Mask. The McBusted boys meet up with their friend Dominic at Kitakami who introduced them to Kieran and Carmine who shared them about Ogerpon's legends. Together with a group of Pikachus they befriended, they have to fight against the villagers who became under control of Pecharunt's infulence. Enjoy and stayed tuned for more.
Mochi Faceoff
Chapter 1: All About Ogerpon
McFly and Busted joined together as McBusted have been
touring all over the world of Pokémon. Their latest tour is at Kitakami, a
small village surrounded by mountains, rice paddles and lush green trees.
“Reminds me of our tour in Japan, just like in Johto” said James looking around
in fascination. “It’ll be like a jungle if it were more tropical” said Matt who
was near Danny and Dougie. “We are the kings of the jungle!” said Dougie
jokingly. “Hey, maybe we should come up with Pokémon bushtucker trials!”
suggested Danny.
They also meet up with their friend and fan Dominic who
has arranged to meet them in Kitakami in preparation for their next part of the
tour. The boys were happy to meet up with him, especially Danny who hugged him
tightly. “We have been having many more adventures during our Pokémon tours
Dominic” said Harry. “That’s right, I can’t wait to tell you more about them!”
said Tom. “We even got sent to the Hisui region and Mega Evolved Gallade and
Gardevoir!” said Charlie who was still hyped with that experience. Dominic was
amazed to hear that. “So proud that you all achieved Mega Evolution” said
Dominic proudly. “We should show you them someday!” said Danny.
Afterwards, Dominic introduced them to two local siblings
who are his friends; Carmine and Kieran. Carmine was excited to meet them. “Oh
wow! I can’t believe I got to meet two of my favourite bands as one big super
group! I’m so jealous that Dominic gets to know them personally! I listen to
all of your music all the time and now I get to see you play live! The name is
Carmine!” said Carmine excitedly. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Carmine” said
Harry.
She then prompted her younger brother Kieran to
introduce himself though he was shyer. “Oi Kiki! It’s your turn to say Hi!
Don’t be rude in front of my idols!” said Carmine sternly being the bossier, older
sister. “Er hi, I am um, Kieran. It’s er, nice to meet you...all” said Kieran.
“It’s nice to meet you too” said James warmly. “What was that Kiki? That was
lousy!” said Carmine with disapproval. Kieran blushed in response. “Sounds like
we have some sibling domination here. I get that all the time” said Tom
awkwardly. “Don’t mind her, you’ll get used to her” said Dominic playing
it cool to brush it off.
Carmine had an idea. “I’ll tell you what Kiki, why don’t
you and Dominic tell them about the story about our local hero Ogerpon?”
suggested Carmine. “Just what I have planned Carmine” said Dominic. “Exactly,
we’ve been heroes, playing the part of helping Ogerpon and Kiki always likes to
talk about Ogerpon. So that’ll help to boost your confidence while I go and get
some mochis. I got to honour our special guests with our speciality!” said
Carmine who went off.
Kieran plucked up the courage to share Kikakami’s legend
about Ogerpon with the McBusted boys. He explained that Ogerpon had travelled
to Kitakami with a man who was her friend but the villagers were wary of their
appearance, forcing them to isolate themselves in the mountains. The man
noticed that the villagers wore masks during their festival so he crafted four
masks for the both of them which were known as the Wellspring, Heathflame,
Cornerstone and Teal Masks to make them blend in with the other villagers.
It worked well until the duo were confronted by a hostile
Pokémon that resembled a mochi named Pecharunt along with its retainers
Okidogi, Munkidori and Fezandipiti who wanted to take their masks for its
owners. The man got gravely injured while protecting Ogerpon and her masks.
Only the Teal Mask was safe. Saddened by the loss of her friend, Ogerpon took
down Pecharunt’s retainers in grief with Percharunt itself was the only
survivor who hid itself in a shell. Unfortunately for Ogerpon, the villagers
have mistaken her as an evil ogre with the three Pokémon sacrificing themselves
for them, calling them The Loyal Three and burying them in a monument. Ogerpon
sadly stays hidden in her cave.
“What a sad story. I feel bad for Ogerpon” said Danny
sadly. “They’re more like The Lousy Three!” cried Dougie. “I’m glad you
all agree with me. I always believed in Ogerpon ever since this story was
passed down by my father” said Kieran who was glad that the McBusted boys were
able to sympathise with Ogerpon. “Not to worry as the story doesn’t end there
with you and Carmine as Ogerpon’s heroes” said Dominic. “Yeah, that’s right and
I shall continue from there! It only happened a few weeks ago but it felt like
yesterday” said Kieran. “Go on then, please tell us more!” said Matt who was
eager to hear the rest.
Kieran added that one day, he and Carmine encountered
Ogerpon during the annual Festival of Masks, looking for her masks. Having
always wanted to meet Ogerpon, Kieran was willing to help prove her innocence.
While he and Carmine were investigating, the villagers spotted her and tried to
fend her off but as Kieran and Carmine defended her, the ‘The Loyal Three’
monument was accidentally destroyed, reviving the ‘The Loyal Three.’
This was when the villagers found out about their true
nature as they wreaked havoc all over Kikakami while getting hold off Ogerpon’s
masks as they were looking for Percharunt, destroying rice field crops,
damaging people’s homes and terrorising other Pokémon. But Kieran and Carmine
were able to help Ogerpon defeat ‘The Loyal Three’ and get back her masks. Now
knowing the full story, the villagers gave Ogerpon their pardon and now acknowledge
her as a hero.
“Alright, great on how it turned out!” cheered Harry.
“And both of you did a great job as the heroes that Ogerpon needed” said
Charlie happily. “I would needed heroes like you when I was seen as the bad guy
back then during the original McBusted days” said James. “You did a great job
telling the full story Kieran” said Dominic encouragingly. “Yeah, you had it in
you for believing in Ogerpon” said Tom praising his courage.
Telling the Ogerpon story to the McBusted boys who
enjoyed it did help Kieran to gain confidence. “Thanks, you certainly should
meet Ogerpon. She’s still shy of others but I know she would like you all” said
Kieran, hitting it off. “That’s one Ogre I would like to meet” said Dougie. “In
the meantime, you could play the song dedicated to Ogerpon” suggested Dominic,
giving them the lyrics to the song Mask of Truth. “Yeah, it’ll be a way to
remember the true story of Ogerpon for generations to come” said Kieran.
“Certainly, we shall play it in Ogerpon’s honour” said Tom. “We have a day to
practise it so it’ll be a good time” said Charlie.
Meanwhile, Carmine was gathering mochis when she spotted
some dark pink mochis on a plate. “I don’t think I’ve seen those mochis before
though I am feeling peckish so I might as well help myself” said Carmine.
Back with the McBusted boys, were practising Mask of
Truth which describes Ogerpon’s history when, to their surprise, a group of
seven Pikachus showed up, dancing to their song as they were joyfully hopping
in line in a synch. “Pikachu!” said the seven Pikachus as they were enjoying
their performance.
Everyone was adored by their dance. “Why hello there
fellas!” said Danny. “You like our singing don’t you?” asked James. The
Pikachus were happy to be acknowledged and went over to them, allowing the
McBusted boys to pet them. “Awww, I always wanted a Pikachu” said Dougie as he
was touching Pikachu’s soft fur. “I wanna bring you home!” said Matt as if he
was a kid meeting a Pikachu. “Oh wow! I never seen this many Pikachus before! I
guess they were drawn in by your singing!” said Kieran with surprise. “It seems
that it was destined for you all to meet them” said Dominic.
Unknown to them, the small humanoid-like Pokémon Ogerpon
was peeping out of the trees who heard about the song dedicated to her legacy
as sung by the McBusted boys. Although she admired their performance, she was
still shy, having to slowly regain her trust for other humans (though she is
more readily open to Kieran and Carmine with them clearing her name).
The McBusted boys were so far enjoying their time in
Kitakami, meeting up with Dominic, hearing Ogerpon’s story from their new
friend Kieran and having a surprise encounter with some Pikachus but little do
they know that this is only the beginning as it was about to get chaotic.
Chapter 2 Mochi Madness
Carmine has just shown up out of nowhere. “Carmine! You
took a while. You just missed out on the McBusted boys practising The Mask of
Truth” said Dominic. “And a whole bunch of Pikachus have shown up!” said Kieran.
But Carmine was unresponsive with a blank expression and her eyes turning
purple. “Uh, Carmine? Are you ok?” asked Kieran who was puzzled since he is
used to his older sister being loud.
Suddenly, Carmine unexpectedly performed a weird dance,
saying the word “Mochi!” over and over again. Everyone was confused with this
erratic behaviour of the blue. “Carmine? What has got into you?!” cried Kieran.
“Carmine, can you hear us?!” called Tom. “That dance...doesn’t seem natural”
said Danny who felt uneasy. “Um, guys, I think you all should take a look at
this” said Dominic, pointing to the villagers who were performing the exact
same dance. “Mochi! Mochi!” said the villagers. It was like they were all under
a strange spell.
“What’s going on here? Everyone’s acting really weird”
said Harry with his voice tinged with concern. “This is...not their way of
greeting us isn’t it?” said Matt who was unnerved which this strange
phenomenon. “What do they mean by Mochi?” asked Charlie. Dougie got out his
phone to record this but Tom glared at him, prompting him to put it away.
Carmine then sends out her Pokémon Sinistcha. The macha
tea Pokémon then attacked Kieran and the others using Matcha Gotcha, indicating
that the Pokémon was processed too. “Stop! What has got into you?!” yelled
Kieran. “Woah! That green liquid looks like it could dissolve us!” said James,
noticing that the green tea stain was hot. “I wouldn’t want it to ruin my
shirt!” said Danny. “On the plus side that would have been a good opportunity
to provide us some service” said Dougie slyly. Danny smiled while blushing as
their way to brighten up the situation.
They then noticed the villagers using their Pokémon to
attack Ogerpon who was forced to come out of hiding by ‘The Loyal Three’ who
also showed up. “It’s them!” yelled Kieran. “Stop! Leave Ogerpon alone!” cried
Dominic. The Pikachus helped to defend Ogerpon by firing their Thunderbolts at
‘The Loyal Three’. “Good job Pikachus!” said Tom. “I bet it was those three who
were behind this!” said Charlie. “We gotta help to stop Carmine and the others
from attacking Ogerpon!” said Kieran. The Pikachus went over to the McBusted
boys, saying “Pika! Pika!” to them. The boys understood what they were
thinking. “You want to help us to fight?” asked Danny. “Then let’s do this
together!” Charlie (as they quickly checked their Pokedexs on what moves those
Pikachu have). “Leave Ogerpon to me while you all take care of the villagers”
said Dominic. Gallade and Gardevoir provided as back up too.
Kieran and the McBusted boys teamed up with their
Pikachus to fight Carmine and the other villagers. “Alright Pikachu, let them
have it!” said Danny with determination as they were facing a villager’s
Farigiraf. Danny’s Pikachu impulsively charged into the quadrupedal giraffe using
Quick Attack but the move was blocked with its ability Armor Tail, causing
Pikachu to lose its course and bumped into a tree. “Whoops! That’s the kind of
thing I would do!” said Danny and they both laughed it off.
Farigiraf then fired its Twin Beam towards Pikachu,
sending it into the fountain. Danny then had an idea. “Pikachu! Use the
water from the fountain to use Splishy Splash!” said Danny. Pikachu was
thinking the same thing and summoned a wave using the fountain water that
soaked Farigiraf, causing it to become paralysed. “Alright, now’s our chance!”
cheered Danny and Pikachu shocked Farigiraf using Thunderbolt.
“Pikachu! Unleash your Thunderbolt!” called Tom and his
Pikachu fired its electric-type attack towards the villager’s Rabsca but the floating
beetle-like Pokémon fired its Bug Buzz to intercept the attack. It then
summoned a light blue transparent wall that surrounded the area using Trick
Room. This caused Pikachu to move slower while in contrast, Rabsca moved a lot
faster as said by Tom “Bah! No fun when you’re slower!”
Tom’s Pikachu was struggling to keep up with Rabsca but
Tom remained cool and had an idea to break Trick Room when he saw Rabsca moving
Pikachu with its telekinesis up in the air using Psychic. Pikachu who also
remained focused under pressure was thinking the same thing as it pointed
upwards, looking at Tom. “My thoughts exactly Pikachu, let’s break through
Trick Room by flying up with your Floaty Fall!” said Tom. Pikachu was happy
that they were both thinking the same thing and summoned balloons to fly into
the roof using Floaty Fall, escaping from Trick Room and then flying down into
the Trick Room, breaking through it and hitting Rabsca directly, causing Trick
Room to fade away. “Alright! Now we’re back up to speed!” said Tom and Pikachu
attacked Rabsca again using Thunderbolt.
“Pikachu! Don’t get squashed by a pancake and get away
from the hammer!” cried Dougie as his Pikachu narrowly avoided the villager’s
Tinkaton slamming down its hammer using Gigaton Hammer. “And now, unleash your
Thunder!” said Dougie and his Pikachu used Thunder but it missed. Tinkaton then
forced Pikachu to use Thunder repeatedly by using Encore. “Stop or you’re gonna
wreck the whole place with your Thunder!” cried Dougie but Pikachu was unable to
stop using the move over and over under the effects of Thunder. Tinkaton was
able to predict every time when Thunder was going to land who dodged the move.
Pikachu however grinned at Dougie. As if he was reading
its mind, he had an idea. “Let’s make get them hoisted by their own petard
shall we?” said Dougie. Being the erratic thinkers they are, they decided to
use this to their advantage by Pikachu using Thunder to surround Tinkaton,
limiting its movements until Thunder hit its large hammer when it was about to
use Gigaton Hammer. The hammer landed on the fountain, much to Tinkaton’s
dismay. “Ha! Ha! If they want that hammer that badly, then they’ll going to
have to get it!” taunted Dougie with his Pikachu prompted to go into the
fountain. As Tinkaton made its way to retrieve its hammer, Dougie immediately
told Pikachu to use Splishy Splash. Pikachu enjoyed this trickery at Tinkaton’s
expense as much as Dougie does.
“Come on! We gotta break through!” cried Harry in
frustration as he and his Pikachu tried to break through a villager’s
Forretress’ defensives using Thunder Punch but the metallic bagworm Pokémon was
able to handle hits with its huge defensive and hit hard back using Gyro Ball
and Body Press. It also laid some Spikes which hurt Harry’s Pikachu every time
it tried to get near it.
But Harry and his Pikachu refused to give up because they
share the same competitive streak that strive them to do better. They both
understood that feeling with Harry coming up with an idea. “Let’s win this
shall we?” said Harry. Pikachu nodded and Harry commanded it to jump into the
air as soon as Forretress charged in using Gyro Ball, flying upwards with the
balloons that it summoned. It then dived into Forretress with a great force
using Floaty Fall. This caused Forretress to fall flat on the ground where the
Spikes were laid, causing them to be unearthed. “Ha! They’re no match for us!”
bragged Harry and his Pikachu unleashed its Thunderbolt while Forretress was
exposed.
James’ Pikachu had a tough matchup against a villager’s
Flapple who resisted its Electric type attacks as a Grass and Dragon type and
hit hard with apples falling towards it using Grav Apple. But that didn’t stop
them as they came up with the idea of slicing through the apples using Iron
Tail. “Let’s see how do they like them apples? See what I did there?!” said
James.
Flapple then charged into Pikachu using Dragon Rush,
knocking it onto the ground. “Don’t worry there, you got this” said James
reassuring it. Encouraged by James’ encouragement, Pikachu charged into the
worm-like Dragon attached to the apple at high speed using Zippy Zap, hitting
hard with a critical hit. “Alright, let’s have some more!” said James with both
of them sharing the same energetic energy with Pikachu continued to pace around
using Zippy Zap to match Flapple’s speed, overwhelming it.
Matt and his Pikachu also had a tricky matchup with them
up against a villager’s Appletun who shares the same typing as Flapple (with
both of them evolved from Applin) and having a high endurance with its round
body. It fired its Apple Acid at Matt’s Pikachu which lowered its Special
Defense. But they weren’t put off by this with their brave, bold moves.
“Pikachu! Use Zippy Zap to dodge the Apple Acid!” said Matt and his Pikachu
used its faster speed to avoid Apple Acid.
Just as Pikachu was about to charge into the Apple-Pie
like Dragon, it was about to fire its Energy Ball at Pikachu but with his quick
thinking, Matt said “Right where we wanted it! Trap Appletun using Electro
Web!” said Matt and Pikachu summoned a spider web made out of electricity that
trapped it. “Alright! We sure let down its guard!” bragged Matt. Pikachu was
proud to take that risk to turn things around and then slammed into the trapped
Appletun using Zippy Zap.
Charlie and his Pikachu battled against a villager’s
Medicham who was a tough opponent with powerful physical attacks including
Hi-Jump Kick, Zen Headbutt and Focus Punch. The humanoid yoga Pokémon can also
sense Pikachu’s movements with its sixth sense, allowing it to gracefully
predict and dodge its attacks.
But both of them keep their calm. “Let’s wait patiently
until we have an opening” said Charlie. Pikachu was thinking the same thing as
they watched Medicham’s movements who jumped into the air, about to use Hi-Jump
Kick. “Ok now!” called Charlie and Pikachu dodged out of the way, causing
Medicham to keep going and crash onto the ground. “Now that got to hurt!” said
Charlie with amusement. His Pikachu agreed. Medicham then charged into Pikachu
using Zen Headbutt. Charlie told Pikachu to counter it using Volt Tackle,
earning their victory.
Kieran used his Hydrapple against Carmine’s Sinistcha.
“You have to snap out of it! I know you’re in there!” called Kieran as his
Hydrapple fired its Fickle Beam to intercept Sinistcha’s Macha Gotcha.
Sinsitcha then fired its Shadow Ball at the apple hydra. Hydrapple countered it
using Syrup Bomb. As both moves collided, Sinsitcha used his opportunity to
spray its Macha Gotcha on Hydrapple which caused it to get burned.
“Dang! I knew my sister is a tricky fighter!” cried
Kieran as Hydrapple then got hit by Sinsitcha’s Hex. But Hydrapple refused to
give up and healed the damage using Recover and then fired its Fickle Beam
which successfully hit Sinsitcha. “I know you can do it Hydrapple! Finish them
using Draco Meteor!” said Kieran and Hydrapple and Sinsitcha became pounded by
the meteor attack. “Sorry Carmine but I can’t let you do this for Ogerpon’s
sake!” said Kieran.
Meanwhile, Dominic was defending Ogerpon against ‘The
Loyal Three’ using three of his Pokémon that he brought at the time; Toxtricity
in its Low Key Form, Ninjask and Cyclizar. “I know how you felt being an
outcast and I am not going to let anyone stand alone just for who they are”
said Dominic with compassion, relating to Ogerpon with what he has experienced
because of his sexuality.
It was far from an easy battle against ‘The Loyal Three’.
Okidogi serves as muscles out of the three, using his brawn to take on any
opponent as shown when it grabbed Toxtricity and tossed it into the wall using
Brutal Swing. The punk rock lizard tried to fight back using Overdrive but the
muscular dog-like Pokémon dodged and charged in using Hi-Horse Power, dealing
great damage on Toxtricity with it being super effective.
Munkidori serves as the brains of the group, coming up
with devious tactics to outwit its foes. Ninjask uses its Speed Boost to
outspeed Munkidori but the cunning monkey observes its movements, setting up
Future Sight. Dominic was smart too, commanding Ninjask to set up Substitute as
a decoy while accumulating Speed Boosts. Ninjask used this to strike Munkidori
using Leech Life but Munkidori predicted this and fired his Sludge Wave
directly at Ninjask, breaking its decoy. The ninja cicada-like Pokémon was then
hit by Future Sight just as Munkidori planned. He then fired its Psyshock to
brutally take it down further.
Fezandipiti is a vain Pokémon who values his beauty above
all else. Cyclizar charges into the pretty avian Pokémon using Iron Head with
Dominic knowing that its Dragon-type moves have no effect on Fairy type Pokémon
but Fezandpiti released his pheromones which captivated Cyclizar making it
bewitched by its beauty. This gives Fezandpiti a chance to ruthlessly take it
down using Play Rough. Once the bike-lizard Pokémon came around, Dominic told
it to use Ice Spinner as a way to repel the pheromones but Fezandpiti charged
in using Cross Poison which stopped Cyclizar’s tracks, causing it to become
dizzy.
Dominic felt wary of having to be backed into a corner. It
somehow reminded him of when he was bullied for his sexuality. ‘The Loyal
Three’ used this opportunity to attack Ogerpon. Dominic quickly covered her and
braced himself when he was about to get attacked by ‘The Loyal Three’ but he
was saved by the McBusted’s boys Gallade and Gardevoir who used their Psyblade
and Lumina Crash. ‘The Loyal Three’ dealt heavy damage with them being weak to
Psychic-type moves. “Always remember that you’re not alone, just like for one
of my songs” said Danny. “We’re always with you as a friend which reminds me of
one of my Safe Journey Home songs” said James. Dominic smiled at them which
brings him back to when the McBusted boys stood up for him.
Dominic regained his composure and ordered Toxtricity to
switch out using Volt Switch. He then switches in Oricorio in its Baile Style.
Okidogi was about to punch it using Drain Punch but Dominic commanded Oricorio
to fire its Hurricane which made Okidogi dizzy. “Now show off your dance!”
called Dominic and the Flamenco dancing bird finished off Okidogi with its
Revelation Dance.
Ninjask used Baton Pass, switching out to Dominic’s
Sawsbuck in its Summer Form. Having gained the Speed Boosts from Ninjask, it
became faster than Munkidori who had trouble calculating its movements. The deer-like
Pokémon battered the Psyshock using Horn Leech and charged into Munkidori using
Double Edge.
Cyclizar just about had enough energy to use Shed Tail,
switching out to Octillery while hiding behind the Substitute provided.
Fezendpiti once again released his pheromones but the octopus Pokémon fired its
Octazooka at the pheromones to repel them while hitting Fezendpiti, covering
him in ink. Being the kind of Pokémon that values his beauty, he wasn’t happy
being sprayed by ink and angrily attacked Octillery using Play Rough but
Octillery was protected by the Substitute which gave it an opening to finish
off Fezendpiti using Hydro Pump.
“Muscles, brains and beauty are all great to have.
Shame that they are wasted by the likes of you three” said Dominic upon winning
against ‘The Loyal Three’ who made their retreat once again. Ogerpon admired
Dominic and the others for defending her which helped her to warm up to them.
After the McBusted boys and the others defeated Carmine,
the processed villagers and ‘The Loyal Three’, a strange, small Pokémon that
was hiding in its shell that resembled a mochi appeared. “What is that?” asked
Danny who was perplexed by its appearance. “It looks like a mochi” said Dougie
analysing it. The shell opened which revealed a small rounded sinister-looking
Pokémon. “...That’s Pecharunt!” said Kieran.
Gallade and Gardevoir spotted it and used their
psychic powers to reach to Pecharunt’s memories; revealing that it was found by
‘The Loyal Three’ sometime after their defeat. They reunited to feed the
villagers its Binding Mochi in order to turn the villagers against Ogerpon.
They both projected this to the McBusted boys and the others. “So that’s why
those villagers were attacking strangely!” said Tom. “I should have known! Pecharunt
is going to pay for taking control of Carmine and the others!” cried Kieran.
“Um, something tells me we shouldn’t be eating those”
said James as Pecharunt tossed its Binding Mochis that it released from its
shell halves towards them, attempting to take control of them. Quickly, Gallade
and Gardevoir blocked them with their PSI barriers. “Thanks, I certainly
wouldn’t want to be its puppet!” said Harry with relief. “I wouldn’t want my
wife and kids to see me doing that dance!” said Matt with him dreading that
thought. “Come on everyone, we gotta give it everything we got!” said Charlie.
The other McBusted boys and their Pikachus agreed and were ready to take on
Percharunt while Dominic and Kieran took care of Carmine and the other
villagers.
Chapter 3 – Pikachus Vs Pecharunt
Pecharunt was far from an easy opponent who dodged or
used its shell halves to block the incoming Thunderbolts while having tricks of
its own including firing multiple Shadow Balls towards the Pikachus and
wrapping them in its corrosive chain using Malignant Chain which badly poisoned
team. If that wasn’t bad enough, its ability Poison Puppeteer has also made
them confused while poisoned.
“Oh no Pikachu!” cried Tom as they witnessed the Pikachus
being dizzy as they were consumed by Poison. Not even Gallade and Gardevoir had
an easy time despite having a type advantage (although they were weak against
its Ghost-type moves and Gardevoir also having a weakness against Poison-type
moves due to being part of the Fairy type) with Gallade trying to strike it
down using Psyblade but Pecharunt dodged him using Phantom Force and strike him
before he could sense Pecharunt and Gardevoir’s Lumina Crush got intercepted by
its Sludge Wave which allowed her to get hit by the move. Both of them then got
caught by the Malignant Chain
The McBusted boys stood helplessly as they didn’t know
what to do. Ogerpon watched this which made her remember everything that
Pecharunt did to her and her partner. It wasn’t allowing anyone else to suffer
so she charged in and slammed Pecharunt with its cub hard using Ivy Cudgel.
“What such power!” said Harry was astonishment. “Now that what I call an Oger
Smash!” said Matt.
Ogerpon then turned to the Pikachus, Gallade and
Gardevoir and handed some Pecha Berries which healed their Poisoning. “Alright!
Thanks for the help!” called Danny with appreciation. “Now it’s time for a
comeback!” said James with their Pokémon ready to have their payback. “How
about we give Gallade and Gardevoir some more power?” suggested Dougie. “Right,
I’m with you!” said Charlie and they Mega Evolved Gallade and Gardevoir. “I
don’t think I have seen Mega Evolution before!” said Kienan with surprise. “Now
you’ll get to see it with your own eyes” said Dominic who was happy to see them
Mega Evolved.
Having to Mega Evolve, their Psychic abilities became
enchanted as they were able to forewarn the Pikachus when Pecharunt was about
to attack with its Sludge Wave which allowed them to dodge the incoming attacks
and having sharper sense to detect Pecharunt when it was about to attack using
Phantom Force. Mega Gallade also saved Mega Gardevoir from the Malignant Chain
by cutting through them using Psyblade and Mega Gardevoir protected Mega
Gallade from Shadow Ball by firing her Lumina Crash.
Pecharunt once again released its Malignant Chain towards
the Pikachus but they worked together with the McBusted boys in their own ways.
“Go on Pikachu! Use your speed to outspeed that chain!” called Danny as his
Pikachu dodged the chain using its speed. It did trip over at one time but it
quickly got up and defended itself with its Thunderbolt. “Pikachu! Let’s fight
against the chain using Thunderbolt!” said Tom and his Pikachu shocked the
chain to repel it. “See if you can cause it to get tangled by its own chain!” said
Dougie. Dougie’s Pikachu followed his idea and lured itself towards Percharunt
which caused the chain to hit Percharunt, much to their amusement. “No chain
can stop us right Pikachu?” said Harry. His Pikachu agreed and it fired its
Thunderbolt to repel the chain which was their way to push themselves to
victory.
“Don’t worry Pikachu! I know you can do it!” called
James. As motivated by James’ support, his Pikachu used its energy to dodge the
chains and repel them with its Thunderbolt. “We can do this Pikachu!” said Matt
as his Pikachu boldy took on the chain directly by firing its Thunderbolt just
before it reached it. “Keep an eye on the chain at all times!” called Charlie
as his Pikachu carefully observed the incoming chains for it to dodge and fight
back with Thunderboit.
While Pecharunt was occupied with the Pikachus, Mega
Gallade and Mega Gardevoir used this chance to attack it with their Psyblade
and Lumina Crash, dealing a lot of damage to Pecharunt. “Alright! Why don’t we
finish this with a bang?!” suggested Danny. “You bet, combining all our
strength!” said James with their Pikachus rising up and each of them firing
their own individual Thunderbolts, each in a different colour of the rainbow
towards Pecharunt, taking it down. It made its retreat. “Now that’s
10,000,000 times stronger than a Thunderbolt!” exclaimed Dougie. “That sounds
like a Z-Move that only Pikachu can use” said Dominic who was just as
surprised. Carmine and the other villagers became fully free from Pecharunt’s
influence.
Chapter 4 – A Mochi farewell
Having to save Kitakami, The McBusted boys preceded their
concert with The Pikachus and Ogerpon being part of the show as they danced on
stage. During their ‘The Masked Truth’ performance, Ogerpon wears each of her
masks and shows off her Ivy Cudgel. It was suggested by Kieran. The song became
a big hit with the crowd, cheering as Ogerpon slams her Ivy Cudgel in each of
her forms.
After the show, The McBusted boys were with Dominic,
Kieran, Carmine and Ogerpon at Kitakami Hall, joining them for the Festival of
Masks to celebrate before leaving. They were helping themselves with the food
from the food stalls. “It’s a nice opportunity to have a taste of your culture”
said James. “It’s certainly a well-earned celebration” said Matt tasting the
ice cream.
“Once again, I can’t thank you enough for saving Ogerpon
and freeing my people from Pecharunt’s control” said Kieran. “We have you and
Ogerpon to thank too. She did a great job shining on our stage” said Danny,
patting Ogerpon’s head. She was content with that. “See Kieran? That was a
spectacular performance that you expect nothing less from both bands together!
And Ogerpon did a great job getting out of her comfort zone” said Carmine who
was still feeling the excitement from the show.
“Mind you, you did show a bit of performance yourself
that would give Tom and I a run for money in Strictly” said Harry.
Carmine was flustered. “You all better not record me doing that
mochi-mochi dance! It’s embarrassing as it is!” she cried. “Thank goodness that
I got Dougie to delete that” said Tom to himself.
Speaking of which, Dougie appeared to be silent, standing
still. “Dougie, are you feeling ok?” asked Charlie. Suddenly, Dougie went
“Mochi! Mochi!” and did the same dance as Carmine and the other villagers. “Oh
no! Not you too Dougie!” cried Matt and they tried to restrain him, only for
Dougie to stop and say “...Gotcha!” Everyone groaned having to be tricked by
Dougie.
After that event, the McBusted boys were ready to depart
Kitakami with the Pikachus coming with them as their new Pokémon. “You are all
welcome to be part of our family” said Tom. Their Pikachus were resting on
their laps happily. Dominic was travelling with them too for the next part of
their Pokémon tour. “It’s great to be with you Dominic” said Danny smiling.
“Never I thought I would get to travel with all of you” replied Dominic,
looking at Danny in the eyes. Kieran, Carmine and Ogerpon were waving to them
with Kieran saying that they were welcome to come back anytime.
As the plane ascended into the skies, the McBusted boys
looked at Kikakami once last time, happy to become heroes while making new
friends along the way which they are sure to remember for a long time.
